SK ST. MICHAEL (2 ) IPOH STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR YEAR 5 SCIENCE 2012 VISION Achieving excellence in science by the year 2013 MISSION To increase the percentage of passes in science for the year 2012 OBJECTIVES Long Term YEAR 2012 2012 TARGET OF PASSES 50 80 STANDARD 5 6

Short Term To increase the percentage of passes from 64.5 % (TOV PKSR II 2011) to 75 % . STRENGTH ( S ) S1 - Co-operation and support from the administrator. S2 - Complete Teaching Aids and Teaching Courseware S3 - 60 % of the pupils are well learned in Science. WEAKNESSES ( W ) W1 - 30 % of the pupils cannot read and write in English. W2 - 10 % of the pupils are not interested in Science. OPPORTUNITY ( O ) O1 - 60 % of the parents are involved in their childs education. O2 - Full support from the Parents Teachers Association (PTA). THREATS ( T ) T1 - 40 % of the pupils are from low income background. Their parents are illiterate.
