Audiolingual Method
-Behaviorist learning theory of the 1950s. - Mechanistic process of habit formation. - Students are conditioned to respond oral or written stimuli. - Learning is not a creative, cognitive process but a mechanical mimicry. - Pattern drills - Dialogue memorization - Knowledge of grammatical rules would only obstruct the mechanical formation. - As the parrot learning, lack of understaning. - Not a unique method.
