My Perception
The word Aegis means strength and protection, my perception is that the company has strong values and gives importance to the clients protection of clients information.

Pay Roll Department


The PAY ROLL Department is responsible for all the Salary related functions of the company. They calculate the salary, attendance, ESI, PF, gratuity etc.

Employee Relations
They take responsibility of the following Employee Grievances Health, Safety and Environment in which the employees work Provision of Communication devices Transfers and relieving of employees Employee engagement programs like Fun Friday Incentives on reaching targets Recognizing talent ( Star Performers) Celebration of festivals Get Set Go.. etc.

Recruitment
This team is responsible for hiring and training the employees.

Recruitment Process @ Aegis


My guide Mr. Pradeep Kumar is Senior HR Executive in the Recruitment team of Aegis. I have spent all my time with the recruitment team so I would like to elaborate about the Recruitment process in Aegis. The following is a split up of the employees in Aegis under various processes Idea process 700 employees Hdfc process 150 employees Beam 50 employees Airtel 3G 50 employees

It is the responsibility of the recruiting team to keep these positioned filled at every point of time. Failing which will cause them to lose the process to any of its competitors. As the problem faced by every domestic BPO, even Aegis faces the problem of high attrition rate. To cope up with this high attrition the recruitment team of Aegis has a target of starting a new batch containing 25 employees every 15 days. The team is able to achieve this target on a consistent basis. The employee is selected after being subjected to four rounds of selection process.

1st Round
Briefing about the job responsibilities and the package that will be offered, and various other facilities that will be provided. Its a mutual interaction round where the candidates attitude and communication skills are assessed. Candidates who do not have any concerns with the facilities and the pay will move on to round two.

2nd Round
A test of typing speed is done using the Type master software. The job requires the employees to take down few details of the customer. Therefore a good speed is an added advantage. The minimum required speed is 15WpM at 60% accuracy. Those who have cleared the test will move to the next round.

3rd Round
Personal interview with two members on the interview panel. The candidate is tester for Fluency in speech Confidence Stability in employment history(if any) If the panel is satisfied with the candidate he is moved to the next round.

4th Round
An online assessment which tests the analytical, comprehensive, qualitative and logical skills of the candidate. The candidate is given the offer letter after successful completion of the four rounds.

Sourcing:
There is a separate team for sourcing and short listing candidates based upon a telephonic interview with the help of Job portals. Naukri Monster

The role of a recruiter is to conduct a telephonic interview and assess whether the particular candidate is suitable for the job and then arrange for the further process.

Employee reference:
If a current employee of the company refers any of his friends for an interview and in case that person gets selected and works in the company for a period of 90 days then the employee who has refereed his friend would be given an amount of 6000 Rs.

Consultants:
The role of a consultant is to work on behalf of the company to fulfill the requirement for which they would be paid accordingly. The requirement along with the job description is given to the consultants who then source suitable candidates and arrange for an interview. After a Candidate is selected and joins the company and completes a period of 90 days the consultant would be paid according to the slab system.

Training Centers
Training centers bring people from the rural areas and train them on speaking skills. Aegis has contracts with these centers, and picks up people from these institutes as and when needed.
