What are the Joomla components for Aurora-Sim?

They allow you to run a joomla si te that integrates directly in with Aurora-sim. There are several components inc luded in this bunch. Disclaimer and license Info: The code is released under GPL, so its free to use, but if you modifications or improvements, please forward changes to Robert.Skid more@NewWorldz.com (AKA Skidz Tweak). This licences is subject to change. You ar e using these components/modules/plug-ins at your own risk, and I am not respons ible for anything. If you do find a issue though, please let me know about it so I can get it fixed. Lets take a look at each component/module/plugin: com_aurora-sim - This installs a component on joomla that allows you to fill in the aurora-sim configuration settings in the administor/components/Aurora-Sim ar ea of your website. There configureation settings are used by most of the other modules and plugins. plgAuthAurora - This plugin allows you to authenticate aurora-sim users. Upon au thenication the user is imported into Joomla as well plgUserAurora - This plugin allows you to create new users on Aurora-Sim. If act ivation is required by the joomla site the aurora user will not be activated unt il doing so. mod_aurora_list_regions - This module creates a nice list to display all the reg ions on a grid. mod_stardust - This module will display the currency history of the current user . It requires stardust to be present on your Aurora-Sim instance. mod_stardust_land - This module displays options to buy a region. It requires st ardust to be present on your Aurora-Sim instance. mod_stardust_purchase - This module allows the purchase of stardust currency in the grid. After the purchase inworld, they are directed to a page to complete th e transaction. Thats what this module does. It requires stardust to be present o n your Aurora-Sim instance. How to install main components (stardust instructions below): 1. First Setup Aurora-Sim with the WebUI Module like your normally would. 2. Set up joomla 1.5 and use a seperate database than your Aurora-Sim but in the same instance of mysql 4. Replace the WebUI module in aurora-sim with the one from this package. No INI changes are needed. 5. From the package, open the folder www and copy everything in it to your jooml a directory. 6. Login to your Joomla administrator page 7. Go to Extensions/Install/Uninstall 8. Under the section Install from URL type in the follow URL and install http://www.NewWorldz.com/com_aurora-sim.zip 9. Go to Components/Aurora-Sim World! 10. Edit the default entry and fill it in with your grid information and save. T hese values should refect what you would place in the WebUI Setting file if you set up the WebUI. 11. Go back to Extensions/Install/Uninstall 12. Under the section Install from URL type in the follow URL and install http://www.NewWorldz.com/plgAuthAurora.zip 13. Again under the section Install from URL type in the follow URL and install http://www.NewWorldz.com/plgUserAurora.zip

14. Goto Extensions/Plugin Manager 15. Located the plugin "Authentication - AuroraSim and enable it 17. Located the plugin User - Aurora and enable it 18. Go back to Extensions/Install/Uninstall 19. Under the section Install from URL type in the follow URL and install http://www.NewWorldz.com/mod_aurora_list_regions.zip 20. Go to your arical manager under Content/Artile Manager 21. Create a new Artical, this is the page that the region list will be displaye d 22. Add your new Region list artical as a link in the main menu under Menus/Main Menu 23. Go to Extension/Modules 24. Located the module Aurora List Regions 25. Enable it, and set the Menu Assignment to Select Menu Item(s) from the List and choose the menu item you just added pointing to the page. This will make this mo dule show up on this page. If you find this part confusing just know you can cha gne it later if you don t like the way you set it up the first time. How to install Stardust components 1. Install Stardust on your Aurora-Sim instance like normal 2. Run the Stardust WebUI SQL files in the same database as Aurora-Sim 3. Login to your Joomla administrator page 3. Go to Extensions/Install/Uninstall 4. Under the section Install from URL type in the follow URLs and install http://www.NewWorldz.com/mod_stardust.zip http://www.NewWorldz.com/mod_stardust_purchase.zip http://www.NewWorldz.com/mod_stardust_land.zip 5. Go to your arical manager under Content/Artile Manager 6. Create a 3 new Artical, *Stardust Currency History, *Purchase Island, and *Pu rchase currency 7. Add your articals as links in the main menu under Menus/Main Menu 8. Go to Extension/Modules 9. Locate the 3 modules and enable them, and fill out the paramaters. For detail s on the correct values for each of the paramaters please see Stardust documenta tion. Notification URLs, and Return URLs should be pointed to the page you made for stardust purchase currency page.
