How does Genesis 18 contrast with Genesis 19 regarding Gods character and activities? Gen.18 contrasts with Gen.19, depiciting Abrahams tender, sensitive fellowship with his guests; the later, Gods awesome judgement and violent destruction of wicked Sodom. P195 2. Describe the typical hospitality displayed in Genesis 18 during this time. The men of the city came to Lots house demanding that the visitors behanded over to them so that they may know them. Meaning they wanted to have sexually intercourse with the men to gratify their own unnatural lust. P200 7. How did God destroy Sodom? God destroyed Sodom and Gomorah with brimstome and fire. P203 8. Where has Sodom been located? The location of Sodom is uncertain. P203 9. How is this story often depicted in the New Testament?

God had told Lot and his family to get out of Sodom and dont look back but Lots wife looked backed and turned into a pillars of salt. (Gen 19:26). In the New Testament it is repeated many time warning others against turning back like Lots wife. (Luke17:31-33; Heb.10:38,39) p205 10. How is Lot described? Lot was describe as a believer and a righteous man even though he lived in Sodom a wicked city. P199 11. Who are the Moabites and Ammonites? The Moabites and Ammonites are the tribes that were born of from Lots daughter which they had deceitfuly conceived with their father. P207 12. Read Deuteronomy 2:9-21. How does God bless Lot? God kept His promised to Lot and God instructed the Isralites not to Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle; for I will not give thee of their land for a possession, because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession.' The word prophet was used of Abraham to emphasize the official natural of his intercessory prayer but not as his ability to fortell events. P211 17. How does Ishmael respond to the birth of Isaac?
