The charts show different growth trends of the different annual sales of reading materials at Southern Book Store in 2006 and 2007. The sales in 2006 showed repeated fluctuation of numbers of copies of reading materials sold. In January that year, the number of copies of reading materials sold started at 4000. Give reason and examples to support your argument. Frame of answer: Cause : Air Pollution TS : Air pollution is one of the factors causing economic slowdown. MI : 1. Air pollution reduce efficiency of input for production. SD : - thinning of ozone layer reduce crop as one of input human factor of production is affected MI : 2. Air pollution increases cost of production SD : - increases traffic incidences increases cost of health management Conc/End: Air pollution need to be controlled to prevent further economic slide-down. AIR POLLUTION AND ECONOMIC SLOWDOWN All countries of the world are facing an economic crisis. From the so called most powerful United State of America, down to one of the poorest country such as Bangladesh, all these countries are looking out for helping hands from anywhere possible. What is the main cause of this situation? I personally feel that air pollution is one of the factors causing the present economic slowdown. The deforestation and smoke from industries have caused air pollution to take place. This air pollution has led to the thinning of ozone, causing excessive ultra-violet rays to reach the earth surface. Coupled with the lesser amount of fresh air containing clean oxygen for the breathers, the effect of air pollution does not stop at the lesser amount of crop production, the main input of global economic. It also causes the reduction in the health level of human beings as the other important capital of good production. When this takes place, the whole process of economic will be affected since the most important players in an economic system are human beings. For example, human beings are the main user of economic products, human beings are the main players conducting the economic cycle and human beings are the main driving force of the system. When air pollution affects the health of human beings, the direct result is the slowdown in production due to the slowdown in input generation and also the slacking of the management of the system. Another effect of air pollution is the disruption of the traffic, the increase in accident rate and also not to forget the increased cost in improving the health of the workers of the whole system. This increased amount of overhead has caused less output generated at the same expenditure level. This is another factor that proved air pollution is indeed a factor that cannot be discounted as the determining element of the economic downturn. Therefore, it is vital that air pollution is to be reduced as much as possible or at least be controlled so that the economic situation will not slide down further.

With the examples and elaboration as given above, I would like to reiterate that one of the main causes of the present economic slowdown can be pointed to the air pollution. (366 words)
