Tunku Abdul Rahman In Memory Affectionatelyknown as Tunku, Tunku Abdul Rahman was loved for his fine traits of character and humor. Tunkuwasborn in Alor Setar, Kedah on 8 february 1903. Even as a child, he lovedfreedom and mixed with the villagechildren outside the palacewalls. as a prince, he wasbrought up as a royalty, but after a while he wastreated as an ordinaryboy, and he enjoyedbeing one. At the age of six, he enrolled in a Malay school in Alor Setar. He then continued his studies in the Government English School. The littleprincewasbright in his studies but was more interested in games and boyishtricks. When he was ten, his mothersent him to Bangkok to stay with his eldest brother, Tunku Yusuf, who was working there. She hoped Tunku Yusuf would be firm with this livelyyoungbrother.

In Bangkok, Tunkudidquitewell in Debsurin School, where he made many friends. Tunku never had problems getting along with people of variousraces and social backgrounds.

Two years later, Tunku Yusuf passed away, and Tunkuhad to return to Kedah. He studied in a Malay school for a year and then joined the Penang Free School. His interest in studies was nutured by some excellent teachers. when he was seventeen, Tunkuleft for England to further his studies on a Kedah Government Scholarship. there he sat for the University Entrance Examination and was accepted into St. Catherines College, Cambridgeuniversity. It was there that he had an experience that inspired him to fight for equality and to free our country from the British rule.

My little Princess

I can still remember that the gentle breeze was cooling and it was a refreshing Friday morning in 1987, when my wife and I finally received our give from Allah. A beautiful chubby little girl that we decided to named her as NurulHanan. She brought us lots of joy in life.

She was born in Kota Bharu General Hospital on 11 November 1997. Affectionately known as Along and she was loved by people around her for her fine personalities of character and humour. Even as the only child in our family, she was brought up as an ordinary girl. As an active girl she liked to explore new things and loved sports very much.

She was bright in her studies but was more interested in sports. When she reached the age of seven years old, she was able to ride a bicycle on her own and she even joined a club in her school. Her interest in sports was nutured by some excellent teachers. She was the apple of her teachers eyes.

She participated in a few competitions and always got the first place. She also represented her school in 2001. Once, she lost in 2000 but it did not prevent her to continue competing in other games. For her, the word giving up does not exist in her dictionary of life. Although she was busy with training, she did not skip either class or tuition. She was good in both academic and co-curriculum.

When she entered secondary school at SekolahMenegahBerisPanchor, she made many friends and had no problems getting along with people of various races and social backgrounds. She achieved a good result in her SPM and was accepted into UPM to further her studies and in the same time still involved in sports

It was there she had an experience that inspired her to contribute to our nation through sport which is the only thing that she knew best.
