Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for enrolment on Full-time/Part-Time Undergraduate Programmes and Part-Time Postgraduate Programmes in academic year 2011/2012. Candidates who previously applied but have not yet secured a seat may wish to re-apply for the programmes being hereby re-advertised. However, such candidates will not be required to pay any further application fee. Candidates should ensure that they meet the programme requirements. These requirements are available at http://www.uom.ac.mu/admissions. Applicants for Undergraduate Programmes are invited to make use of a Toolkit at the following address: http://online.uom.ac.mu/toolkit as an aid to choosing their programmes. MATURE CANDIDATES Mature candidates who do not meet the minimum entry requirements may apply for all Undergraduate and taught Postgraduate Programmes as advertised. HOW TO APPLY
Application for admission will be open online as from Saturday 23 July 2011 and all procedures and instructions indicated should be carefully followed. Applicants for full-time undergraduate programmes are invited to make use of a Toolkit at the following address: http://online.uom.ac.mu/toolkit as an aid to choosing their programmes.

(ii) Balance of 50% of Tuition Fees to be paid in 3 equal and consecutive monthly instalments.
Payment is to be made as from the end of the following month after registration. A Standing Order Form will be available at the Budget Directors Office during the registration
exercise. The form duly filled in, should be submitted before registration. In case of revocation of the standing order before its termination, you will not be admitted to the examinations as per University regulations. For settlement by Debit or Credit Cards, a 2.5% charge is applicable on the total amount being settled.

Candidates who are applying for the first time should send, by registered post, to the Admissions and Student Records Office, Professor Sir Edouard Lim Fat Engineering Tower, University of Mauritius, Rduit, a printed and signed Online Application Form as per instructions, together with a Bank Office Cheque or a Postal Money Order (drawn to the order of UNIVERSITY OF MAURITIUS) of Rs 1,000 representing a non-refundable Application Fee. Personal Cheques will not be accepted. Photocopies of educational certificates and other supporting documents should be attached. Applicants will not be required to call at the University for application procedures. Applicants are also strongly advised to retain the Mauritius Post Ltd postage receipt and a photocopy of their Bank Office Cheque or Postal Money Order as evidence of their application. The University will acknowledge receipt of application online when all the abovementioned documents are received. Applicants will thereafter be able to print their receipt online. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION
Applications should reach the Admissions and Student Records Office, University of Mauritius, Rduit not later than Friday 05 August 2011.
NOTE:
(i)
Applications received after the closing date or not supported by the relevant documents and Application Fee of Rs 1,000 will not be considered. Applications not submitted on the prescribed forms will not be considered. Prospective applicants are informed that the University reserves the right not to run any one of the above-mentioned programmes should there be an insufficient number of students registered for it. So as to remove any possible doubt, prospective applicants are informed that the University is under no obligation to find employment eventually for successful applicants. Documents submitted will not be returned to applicants. Possible changes which may have implications for the 2011/2012 intake may occur following the switching over to the credit/yearly system (as applicable) and the use of distance education and/or online methodologies.
