Clinton Democratic Club Welcomes Bill Thompson

The C l i n t o n Democratic Club hosted their last monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 18 at the offices of Vallone & Vallone. The club proudly featured former NYC Comptroller and prominent Mayoral Candidate Bill Thompson as well as a very informative presentation on cyber bullying Pictured from Left: Police Officer Keith ODonnell, Clinton Democratic Club Treasurer Michael by the NYPD. Serao, NYC Councilman & Public Safety Committee Chair Peter Vallone, Jr.; Democratic Mayoral Candidate & Former NYC Comptroller Bill Thompson; State Committee Member John Dorsa; Clinton Bill Democratic Club President Paul Vallone; and Sergeant Jahmel Felipe. Thompson announced he would again run for Mayor and is very confident of winning in 2013. His primary reason for announcing is his belief the city is heading in the wrong direction and we are at a critical crossroads. Mr. Thompson is proud to follow in his fathers footsteps as well as his extensive city experience as former Deputy Borough President of Brooklyn, head of the previous Board of Education and former NYC Comptroller. He thanked the Vallone and Dorsa families and added that the Vallones continue to be a city institution and looks forward to working with them for years to come. Police Officer Keith ODonnell of the NYC Community Affairs Bureau gave an informative and much needed presentation regarding relevant issues of cyber bullying. Officer ODonnell spoke directly to the Clinton Club Kids as to the dangers of cyber bullying and ways to handle and avoid bullying online and at school. Officer ODonnell was quickly invited to several of our local schools to provide this critical information to our children and parents in the community. The Clinton Democratic Club is co-hosting with the Bayside Whitestone Lions Club, the upcoming free Tree Giveaway on April 28 from 11-2. The Club will not meet in May but will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, June 13 at 7pm at the offices of Vallone & Vallone.
