2. You are supposed to be familiar with the main arguments of the following articles. Remember the main points of these readings. Diamond, Thinking about Hybrid Regimes. Part II: Essay Question (60 points) You will be required to answer the following essay question. Be sure to address all the issues specified in each question. In your essay, you have to demonstrate that your arguments are logically consistent and convincing. You have to mention some actual examples to support your arguments. This is the actual question you will see in the exam. Question: The impacts of globalization have been dramatically expanded in recent years. Discuss how globalization affects economic, political, and social issues in each country. Be sure to specify both positive and negative consequences of globalization. Do you think the positive impacts of globalization outweigh the negative ones? How should the international community address the issue of globalization? To improve the situation surrounding globalization, what kind of action do states and citizens need to take? Discuss your opinion in a convincing manner. To answer these questions, you have to use at least one class reading to support your argument (explicitly mention the author and his/her main argument). The final exam will take place on May 3 (Wednesday). Be sure to check the time for the final exam since this is different from the normal class hour. You cannot be late by more than 30 minutes.
