Grade of F, FN or FNN
Grades of FN (failure-nonattendance) are rarely given. Whereas a final grade of F is based on a students work, a grade of FN is based on non-attendance and must indicate the students last date of attendance. You will be assigned a grade of FN in either of the following conditions: 1) You have taken two or fewer exams; or 2) You have taken three or four exams and have an average exam score above 30. If you have taken three or four exams and do not have an average exam score above 30 (passing), you will be assigned a grade of F. The date of the FN in all cases is the approximate date of the last exam taken. Once a student logs onto the B104 homepage, a grade of FNN (failure never attended) will not be assigned.
Administrative Withdrawal
If you miss more than half of scheduled class meetings within the first 4 weeks of the semester, you may be administratively withdrawn from this course. You will be notified of this action by the Registrar. Administrative withdrawal may have academic, financial, and financial aid implications. Because administrative withdrawal takes place after the full-refund period, there is no tuition refund. Contact your instructor if you have any questions about this policy.
