Subject- Non availability of PG Scholarship for last 4 years to GATE scholars of GGSIPU ( USIT , USCT, USBT, ENGG PHYSICS) We, the bonafide M.Tech students (GATE scholars) of University School of Studies, would like to draw your kind attention towards the non-availability of PG Scholarship provided by AICTE for last four years. We had taken admission in M.Tech. course of GGSIPU with the certainty that we shall be getting monthly stipend of Rs. 8000/-Most of us have left our jobs for pursuing M.Tech.(Regular) so that we will become research scholars. We expected to get the scholarship every three-month or every six-month but the ugly truth is for the last 48 months we have not got even a single penny. We have given multiple applications and have constantly reminded the authorities of university (Dean of USIT, Joint Registrar Academics, Vice Chancellor of GGSIPU) and AICTE both orally and in written for this problem. The authorities keep complaining about the fact that the problem is on AICTEs end but actually the problem is on the universitys end as university is not sending necessary documents. On the basis of applications submitted and RTIs filed, it has been found that following steps have been taken so far regarding this issue
1. After waiting for 7 to 8 months we put the matter in front of university in the month of February, 2011.

2. In response to our application university applied to AICTE for scholarship in March 2011.(Enclosure no.1) 3. In response to step 2 AICTE asked for three documents(Approval letter of M.Tech 20102011, details of seat allocation and Indemnity bond and Pre-receipt ) in April 2011.(Enclosure no.2) 4. University sends the necessary documents to AICTE in December 2011. (Enclosure no.3) 5. After waiting for almost 3 months we personally visited AICTE to know the status of the report sent in December 2011, AICTE told us verbally that approval letter was not sent by university in proper format, university sent them online approved list of colleges but not in the format as shown Enclosure no.4. In summary as the university is not sending the required documents to AICTE we have been denied our right to get scholarship for the last 4 years. Please find Enclosure no.5 list of students to whom scholarship needs to be awarded.

The other colleges affiliated to GGSIPU (C-DAC and AIT) are getting scholarship regularly. Sir, please understand our pathetic situation. We are just asking for something that we are inherently entitled for being GATE scholars. We request you to consider our concern on higher priority and make the system to expedite the procedure.
