STEFAN SIDOVSKI Born October 3, 1946 in Skopje. Primary and secondary education he finished in his native city.

1965/66 year he enrolled in the Group Philosophy of Philosophy Faculty. He studies aesthetics having as professors Pavao Vuk-Pavlovic and Gheorghi Stardelov. Studies are completed in 1969/70 academic year with Bachelor thesis "G.F.V. Hegel Phenomenology of spirit - absolute knowledge ", with excellent rating. In 1973/74 he was employed in the gymnasium "Rade Jovcevski Korchagin" in Skopje where until 2010 taught philosophy and logic, as one of the most popular philosophy professor in Macedonia. Upon completion of the obligations of the post-graduate studies in philosophy of Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, July 1, 1995 he defends his master's thesis "The aesthetic essence of the film frame" before the committee: Academician Professor D-r Gheorghi Stardelov, Professor D-r. Stole Popov Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Professor Dr. Kiril Temkov (mentor), and is issued as a book entitled "Film frame and its aesthetic essence "in 1995 the anniversary of 100 years of existence of the film. In 2001 he defended his doctoral dissertation entitled "Aesthetics and Dialectics in the editing of the film "before the committee: Academician Prof. Dr. Gheorghi Stardelov, Prof. Dr. Kiril Temkov, Prof. Dr. Mirko Gjozhev, Prof. Dr. Violeta Panzova and Prof. Dr. Stole Popov, it is published as a book with the same title by the publisher of AZ-BUKI-2003. From 2010 until today at the University of Audiovisual Arts ESRA EFA he teaches "History and Theory of Film." Since the gymnasium days Sidovski Stephen begins to deal with Amateur film, first alone and then from 1967 as a member of Kinoklub "Camera 300", and from the 1985 as part of Academic Kinoklub (cinema club). Holder of the highest degree "Master of Amateur Film," and for the same title he receives Golden Plaque for contribution to the spread of film culture in Macedonia from Film International Committee of the UNICA. From 1985 to 2000, 15 years he maintained a summer film school in Struga. With his films he participated in many international festivals and clubs of Amateur film. They were rewarded, and sometimes banned. A selection of Stephen Sidovski's films is shown at the International Film Camera Festival Manaki Brothers in October 1993 in Bitola. Retrospective of film work of master of amateur cinema Stephen Sidovski is held in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje on March 7, year 1995, unique cineast in the history of cinema whose works are displayed in Museum by the invitation from curator for film and photography Miroslav Popovic. On this occasion a catalog is made, in which, besides the names of films are given all technical data and names of its contributors for creating movies.
