Luke Skywalker Powers and abilities

"The Force is strong with him." Palpatine Listen (file info)

Though he received little training, Luke Skywalker became a wise and powerful Jedi Master, even indirectly serving as the chosen one by bringing Darth Vader to the light. His skills with both the Force and lightsaber were exceptional. Luke had the Force potential to become what his father was supposed to becomethe Force potential of the Chosen One.[131][132] Luke Skywalker was one of the most, if not the most, powerful Jedi to ever exist, as he demonstrated powers and abilities that sometimes surpassed even Grand Master Yoda.

Lightsaber training

Luke Skywalker's use of Form V is probably as much instinctive as trained. On Bespin, Luke revealed that he was an extraordinarily gifted duelist after only one brief session with Obi-Wan Kenobi and a short time of study with Yoda. After that fateful duel, Luke studied some lightsaber skills from Kenobi's journal and greatly advanced his abilities. Without a Master, it was Luke's unparalleled aptitude which contributed in the impossible advancement of his skills. Onboard the second Death Star, Luke mirrored Darth Vader's own Form V technique and responded with his own furious demonstration of Form V's raw power. Observing swordsmen such as Palpatine might be astonished at such instantaneous learning in a lightsaber duel. Finally, Luke was able to duel Vader on an even footing, and defeated the experienced Dark Lord. However, Luke's particular form of lightsaber combat may, in the end, be something entirely new, with traces of Form III, Form IV and Form V mixed together with his own techniques. It is doubtful that Kenobi and Yoda had time to actually teach him the finer points of the combat Forms. Just like most other things about being a Jedi Knight, Luke probably had to figure out whole new fighting styles to replace the ones lost during the Great Jedi Purge.

It is also probable that the Jensaarai would have passed on knowledge of the lightsaber forms of the Old Jedi Order since their founders were former Jedi Knights and Padawans; in addition, it was known that the discovery of The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force just prior to the Yuuzhan Vong War was another source of knowledge on the Forms. In particular, Luke took the time to write in the margins noting how compassion was a key element to mastering Form V, indicating he had some degree of knowledge of the finer points in the Form as of at least that point. [133] He also mastered the strong style, a form of lightsaber combat that resembles Djem So that is used in the New Jedi Order.[65][76] It should be noted that Luke advanced more quickly than any other known Jedi before him in lightsaber combat, being as powerful as Vader after receiving about one year of training.[source?] Luke's abilities with a lightsaber and the Force allowed him to fight his way through countless Yuuzhan Vong warriors in the Sacred Precinct. After defeating numerous Yuuzhan Vong warriors in the Citadel Luke defeated more than five Slayers; while Kyp Durron, one of the most powerful Jedi of his time, could not best even the Slayers who were exposed to Alpha Red. Afterward, Luke slew Supreme Overlord Shimrra Jamaane, who was stated to be the best warrior of the Yuuzhan Vong, despite just being injured by the poison of the Scepter of Power. Luke managed to defeat the reborn Emperor Palpatine in a lightsaber duel, slicing off his hand with cho mai. It should be noted that Palpatine was one of the best swordsmen in lightsaber history, and even Yoda, Luke's own master, was unable to defeat him. Leia, who was watching the fight, could hardly see the movements of Luke and the Emperor, but she sensed waves of power generating from themdark from the Emperor, and light from Luke.[134] Luke displayed his amazing dueling skills with dual blades during the Yuuzhan Vong War. Regardless of receiving formal Jar'Kai training or not, Luke proved to be one of the best dual blade duelists in his era.

Force powers
During the Battle of Yavin, Luke managed to destroy the first Death Star by letting the Force tell him when to fire his proton torpedoes, while traveling at very high speeds, and not knowing the distance to the port, and having no previous knowledge of proton torpedoes and their abilities. One should note that Luke only had little training with the Force at this time.[7]

Like his father, Luke was an expert pilot who used the Force to help him fly. Without any guidance except a handbook left by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker successfully built his first lightsaber, merely three years after he was first introduced to the Force, and undergoing formal training for less than a year. Only a short time after being given a lightsaber by Obi-Wan, Luke was able to instinctively block several blaster bolts fired in rapid succession by a remote, despite his lack of prolonged formal training. Luke safely landed himself, Isolder, and Isolder's fighter from a free fall drop from orbit with the Force.[56] During the Battle of Dathomir, Luke flew the Millennium Falcon singlehandedly using only the Force, manipulating its controls and operating it with a skill that not even a full crew could manage.[56] Luke was able to knock down a crippled AT-AT by pressing against it with the Force; he also absorbed the initial cannon blasts from the AT-AT, before deflecting the rest with his lightsaber. During the Black Fleet Crisis, Luke used the Force to rebuild Darth Vader's old fortress on Coruscant.[78] In addition, Luke later used the Force to crush the rebuilt fortress of Darth Vader to rubble, shattering the building piece by piece and throwing it into the oceans of Coruscant.[80] During the Battle of Dantooine of the Yuuzhan Vong War, Luke tricked a vehicle's dovin basals into colliding its own black hole against itself by using the Force to hold the void against the pull of the dovin basals; then reversing the direction of his own pull, adding it to the pull of the dovin basals, so that the void would collide against the spine of the vehicle.[96] In the battle between the Singing Mountain Clan and the Nightsisters, Luke was almost fatally wounded by a Force attack by Gethzerion and a deep fall, but regenerated in the span of mere hours.[56]

Luke also destroyed a group of hot-wired battle droids just by waving his hand, subtly displacing their master servos and causing the self-destruction of the group of droids. This Force power was first manifested by Jedi Master Arca Jeth during the Great Droid Revolution. Even then, with proper instruction, it was a difficult power to master. However, this power apparently came naturally to Luke. During the time when he was re-creating the Jedi Order and was searching for potential candidates, he walked on lava while still throbbing with the Force after defeating a Fireworm living in the lava just moments before. Luke's performance impressed Gantoris so much that he decided to become Luke's apprentice.[64] During the Eye of Palpatine incident, Luke subconsciously used his Force powers to overcome a particularly vicious form of brainwashing.[11] During the Death Seed Plague, Luke used the Force to communicate with the sentient crystals Tsils. It is important to remember that the more dissimilar the type of mind, the more difficult it is to communicate with via the Force.[75] Toward the end of the Swarm War, Luke used the Force to call all the Jedi across the galaxy to Ossus to make the announcement of him taking on the role as Grand Master of the Jedi Order, and to issue his views about the role of the Order to his Jedi.[111]

While searching for the kidnapped Solo children, Luke used the Force to create an illusion over his face in order to disguise his identity.[77]After the Black Fleet Crisis, with newfound knowledge from the White Current, Luke removed the Teljkon Vagabond from view using the Force; however he admitted that he did not know how long it would last. After the Black Fleet Crisis, Luke taught the combined White Current/the Force illusion

skill to his more experienced students, which would help shield the entire moon Yavin 4 from intruders during the War. During the early days of the Dark Nest Crisis, Luke used the Force to generate a lifelike copy of the Jade Shadow to fool the attacking dartships. This usage of the Force was so extreme, Luke burnt out and his face was temporarily sunken and shriveled like Palpatine's.[103] A year later Luke applied the same trick on the DR919a, by then Luke already mastered the technique and would no longer burn out. Right before the Battle of Fondor, Luke made Caedus "see" a fleet of ships, causing him to panic in front of his navy. Luke directed it right at Caedus in general, to show him what he could do and also to scare Caedus.[120] In the middle of a massive midday meal food fight at the Jedi Praxeum's mess hall, Luke instantly froze every morsel, drop and item, solid and liquid in midair as if trapped in time. After scolding the students (and his private amusement), he left and with a brief right hand gesture, released the food to fall to the floor for the students to clean up.[66] In 43.5 ABY, after spending time with the Aing-Tii Luke was taught the Fold space ability which allowed him to teleport objects. During the Kueller crisis, Luke prepared himself for death in such a way that he would become a Force ghost. Upon death, Luke was able to retain his consciousness in the Netherworld of the Force, and could henceforth manifest himself in spirit form. During the Battle of Yuuzhan'tar Luke reached a state of Oneness. He was described as a maelstrom of luminous Force energy, against which there was no shelter. So calm and focused was he that his actions were not interrupted by any thought. Luke merged with the Force to such a degree that the Jedi Master did not seem to be there, physically or as an individual personality. Luke's control over his lightsaber blade was so great that he was said to might as well have been wielding ten, or twenty lightsabers against the Vong.[110] The Solo twins were astounded seeing their uncle in such a state. Luke used a powerful and unique ability of the Force related to his signature green Electric Judgment in the chamber of Shimrra Jamaane. This technique had been described to look like "green sparks," which instantly killed the Slayer. While battling UnuThul, Luke was able to resist the combined Force power of the Colony and triumph. When UnuThul attempted to Force Push the Grand Master, Luke rooted himself in the heart of the Force so strongly that it was said that he had become the very essence of the immovable object, and that not even the black hole at the center of the galaxy could move him.[111] On only the trip back to Hapes after the duel, Luke used a Jedi healing trance to heal most of the damage caused by Lumiya. During the Battle of Kashyyyk, Luke shut his presence down after being fired upon by Jaina to make it seem like he died. Later while Ben was in the Embrace of Pain, Jacen gave Ben back his ability to sense the Force temporarily and Ben felt the life force of his

father and realized Luke was shutting himself down to everyone except Ben, something no other Jedi has been able to do.[118]

Other abilities
Luke applied the very opposite of Dun Mch on board the second Death Star by infusing love into Darth Vader's heart through spoken words. The young Jedi was successfulAnakin Skywalker ultimately redeemed himself and brought balance to the Force. Like his father Luke was an expert pilot, being the person who was responsible for destroying the first Death Star and managing to evade Darth Vader himself (albeit with help from Han Solo). He also landed a crashing Imperial Star Destroyer, with almost no loss of life, on Coruscant by allowing the Force to guide him at the Liberator's controls, mirroring a similar achievement by his father toward the end of the Clone Wars.

Lightsabers

Luke Skywalker's first lightsaber was his father's former weapon retrieved and given to him by Obi-Wan Kenobi.[7] During the first three years of his adventure, Luke upgraded the lightsaber by placing a shard of Kaiburr crystal in the focusing crystal hold and adding other parts such as an activator board. He wielded it until it fell into the depths of Cloud City after being defeated by Darth Vader.[8] Years later after recovering it from a clone of himself, Luke gave the weapon to Mara Jade. After losing his father's lightsaber on Bespin, Luke wielded another lightsaber of unknown origin[136][137][138][139] until, half a standard year after the duel, he used designs in Kenobi's home on Tatooine to build a new weapon similar to the late Jedi Master's saber, a practical weapon with a green Synth-crystal blade. Inadvertently Kenobi and Skywalker kept the tradition of the apprentice modeling their lightsaber on their master's. Luke used it during the rescue of his friends from Jabba the Hutt, his final duel with Vader, and kept using it up to and during the Second Corellian Insurrection.

During his time under the clone Emperor Palpatine Luke used a red-bladed lightsaber of unknown origin. Soon after he discarded it and resumed use of his green one.[61] During the Nagai-Tof War, after losing an initial duel to Lumiya and her lightwhip, Luke constructed a shoto to counter her unique weapon. Years later, he would use it again in a duel against the Dark Lady of the Sith. Luke practiced and specialized in Djem So, his father's lightsaber combat style even though he was known to use an Ataru opening stance. He was also known to utilize two lightsabers in the Jar'Kai style.[140]

Anakin Skywalker Powers and abilities

Lightsaber training
"If you had spent as much time practicing your saber techniques as you do your wit, you would rival Master Yoda as a swordsman." "I thought I already did." "Only in your mind, my very young apprentice." Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker[src] Anakin Skywalker was trained by the Order's most promising Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Through him, Skywalker would inherit a rich tradition of lightsaber training. Skywalker's style featured elements of many masters, making him outstandingly talented, even at a very young age.[104] Both Form V variants became the favored fighting styles of Anakin Skywalker, as their aggressive and strength-oriented fighting methods fit well with his arrogant, confrontational personality type. Due to his natural talent for lightsaber combat, he advanced quickly, an achievement which fed his ego, and he came to consider himself a match for Yoda. His specialty in the Shien form stood him in good stead during heated engagements with blaster-wielding foes, such as the Battle of Geonosis, and he became a formidable lightsaber duelist.[105][106] However, Skywalker eventually realized how much he still had to learn when he confronted Count Dooku. Initially utilizing a dual-bladed variant of Ataru against the Count, Skywalker was forced to revert to his standard Form V practices when Dooku destroyed the extra blade.[106] His skill was enough for Anakin to stand toe-to-toe with Dooku even longer than his Master did, actually impressed the masterful Count with his skills, but he was forced to draw heavily on his Force-abilities to match Dooku's speed and precision, tiring quickly. Dooku's far more energy efficient Makashi style won the day, and Skywalker lost his arm when he opened himself up.[107]

As the Clone War progressed, Skywalker spent the following years of the conflict developing his skills in the many pitched battles. He began studying the Djem So variant of Form V and used brute strength to overwhelm his opponents. Evidence of his prowess included confrontations with the Dooku-trained Asajj Ventress or Grievous' IG100 MagnaGuards, as well as numerous sparring matches with Obi-Wan Kenobi.[108] Relying on both strength and agility, Skywalker proved able to adequately fend off or evade enemy attacks while immediately offering counters.[109] By the time of the Battle of Teth, Skywalker was able to effectively hold his own against Dooku, as shown by their confrontation on Tatooine.[110] However, as the aggressive Form V encouraged practitioners to actively attempt to dominate their foes, Skywalker drew more and more on his anger and rage, sliding ever closer to the Dark side of the Force.[108] When confronting Dooku for the last time, Skywalker relied heavily on these emotions to fuel his offense, demonstrating both overwhelming strength and bewildering speed as he bashed through Dooku's precision defense and sliced off both of the Count's hands before brutally executing him.[111] Before his death, Dooku acknowledged Skywalker as the finest Djem So stylist that he had ever seen.[108] It also proved to Sidious that Skywalker was ready to become his apprentice.[80] "one can do some interesting things with a saber, you know. I'll do my best to show them all to you if you'll cooperate by not passing out." Darth Vader[src]

When Anakin Skywalker at long last embraced the dark side and was rechristened Darth Vader, he maintained his Form V mastery, but utilized it in an even more brutal fashion, becoming a frightening opponent. However, his aggression became his fatal flaw, as he would become so controlled by it that it would give way to his rage. Though younger, stronger, more athletic, and a master swordsman gifted with more raw Force power than any other Force adept, he still lacked the experience, calm, and focus that his former master possessed. Though Vader could, and would call on the dark side to overpower his opponents, his mounting emotions distracted him, clouding his judgment and preventing him from executing his form as well as Kenobi executed his. Whereas Vader's strength lay in his offensive barrage, Kenobi's strength resided in his staunch defense.[80] Kenobi was regarded as the greatest master of the passive style Soresu in the Jedi Order, and his absolute dedication to it would prove vital to his victory. Vader, frustrated by his inability to break through this defense, began making mistakes and leaving openings that he otherwise would have avoided had he remained focused and patient. Kenobi, similar to his duel with Grievous, would utilize his "wait them out" philosophy, relying entirely on the defensive and energy-conservative monves until the opponent became frustrated or fatigued, causing them to leave sloppy openings in their offense that Kenobi could then exploit. In both cases, this resulted in the detachment of his opponent's limbs. This became Vader's downfall.[80] In his mechanical life-support suit, it was extremely difficult to engage in the energetic acrobatics of Ataru, an act that would quickly tire him, defeating the purpose of the aggressive style. Initially after gaining the suit, Vader was forced to rely on brute strength to batter his opponents, utilizing a clumsy method that utilized stiffly executed vertical strikes to wear down his opponent, although he included elements of Soresu and Ataru blade work in this, as witnessed by Jedi Master Roan Shryne when Vader engaged Bol Chatak.[81]

However, Vader was able to overcome this limitation fairly quickly, developing a refined version of Djem So that continued to include Ataru and Soresu elements, but also added Makashi[86] and Juyo[112] to the mix. Rather than attempting to fight through the bulky and heavy armor, Vader fought with it, utilizing the armor's weight and his powerful prosthetics to provide his blows with incredible force, while relying on the main articulation points at the elbows and wrists rather for precision.[81] With this new form, Vader regained some of his old agility, and his blade work was brutally effective. He never utilized anything less than a killing blow, and his swordplay demonstrated

crispness and unpredictability, notwithstanding the two-handed grip he favored. Even the most simplistic moves contained enough strength to nearly disarm his opponents.[81][86] Vader proved able to apply this personalized variant in many ways, sometimes opting to fight one-handed, relying on precision and economy of movement, but thanks to the added strength his prosthetics afforded him, he maintained a great deal of power. [81][98] He demonstrated this method against the likes of Olee Starstone and Luke Skywalker. However, when forced onto the defensive, Vader would fight with a two-handed grip, elbows pressed tightly to his sides with the blade held straight out in front of him, manipulating it deftly with his wrists only. This method proved effective for protecting his torso, and his vulnerable control panel, but it left his limbs open. Vader applied this defensive style against Roan Shryne during the subjugation of Kashyyyk and Obi-Wan Kenobi during their final duel on board the Death Star I.[81][113] While he utilized his customized style to great effect, even against multiple opponents, Vader occasionally fell back on the clumsy and stiff vertical strikes that he used during his first weeks in the suit, unleashing a relentless, offensive barrage, as demonstrated during his duel against Luke Skywalker on Bespin.[98] Vader apparently learned his lesson from his duel with Kenobi, learning how to control his emotions when in combat and finding a way to call upon calculated bursts of the dark side while not being blinded by emotions run amok, fighting with determination and relentlessness rather than rage.[114] Vader also trained frequently with combat droids to keep his skills sharp, using ASP-19s by 3.5 ABY. Based on the ASP-series droid, the ASP-19s were lightsaber combat droids programmed with the knowledge of a hundred swordmasters and a dozen fighting styles, faster and stronger than an ordinary man. Vader defeated them time and again, and thus ordered new, improved batches of them. As his finesse and skill improved, Vader found that they became too easy to defeat, so much so that he took to battling them in a two-on-one matches.[115]

However, despite his skill, Vader's method was not perfect. While a strong and relentless fighter, Vader could be outpaced by more agile duelists. This flaw was highlighted during his duel with Galen Marek on the Death Star I. While Vader unleashed a frenzy of bone-crushing blows, Marek blocked and evaded them, dancing around Vader's defenses while suffering only light cuts from the Sith Lord's missed attacks. Ultimately, Vader was quite simply too slow to keep up with Marek, and was brought down, despite the numerous small wounds the Dark Lord inflicted upon him. [86] In order to compensate for his lack of speed, Vader would unleash vicious telekinetic assaults on opponents capable of outpacing him, with unfortunate victims including

Roan Shryne on Kashyyyk and Luke Skywalker on Bespin, though even this tactic could be beaten, as proved when Marek responded in kind.[86] Another duelist who proved able to stand against Vader was his own son, Luke Skywalker. In their initial engagements, Vader proved superior, though it still took some effort to defeat Skywalker, who displayed a great deal of skill despite his minimal level of training. However, onboard the second Death Star, Luke managed to defeat Vader. Mirroring Darth Vader's own Form V technique, Skywalker responded with his own furious demonstration of the style's raw power. Luke proved able to meet Vader strength-to-strength, his marked increase in skill and sudden display of aggression toward the end of their bout caught Vader off guard, allowing Luke to drive back and overwhelm the experienced Sith Lord.[104]

Force powers
Jedi Knight The fact that Skywalker was born with the highest known midi-chlorian count in galactic history and was considered to be the Chosen One leads to various conclusions about his Force potential and power. During his lifetime he did not achieve his full potential due to his destiny as a tragic hero, but before his fall to the dark side, although extremely young and having less than perfect training (due to his late age joining the Order), Skywalker was one of the most powerful living Jedi. If he had reached his full potential, he would have become the most powerful being in both Jedi and Sith history. However, after his death, he became one with the Force, thus achieving his full potential. Obi-Wan Kenobi said to Darth Vader just before his death: "If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine." If that is true, one interpretation would be that when one unites with the Force, a Jedi reaches the peak of his or her power. Skywalker's unprecedented midi-chlorian count made him one of the most powerful members of the Jedi Order; however, it also made Skywalker arrogant. When he came to the Jedi Temple at the age of nine, he began to develop at a much faster and accelerated pace than his fellow Padawans, further feeding his pride and selfimportance.

Skywalker was skilled in the use of telekinesis able to lift heavy objects with minimal effort. During his duel with Asajj Ventress on Yavin IV, he easily deflected a large pillar back at Ventress when she hurled it at him[116] and immediately afterwards he used the Force to block her Force Push without even slowing down.[116] He was also skilled at Force Jump, and was able to leap massive distances.[116] Skywalker was also capable of a powerful Force Push;[116] however it should be noted that despite having a stronger connection to the Force than Obi-Wan Kenobi, his Force Push was unable to overcome Kenobi's during their duel on Mustafar.[117] He was also skilled at Jedi Mind Tricks.[118] However, Skywalker also had a habit of using the Force Choke power, a sign of who and what he would later become. During the battle of Geonosis, Skywalker displayed some skill in Animal friendship, allowing him to ride the reek that was present in the arena.[106] Sith Lord "you are so far less now than what you were, you are more than half machine, you are like a painter gone blind, a composer gone deaf, you remember where the power was but the power you can touch is only a memory" Skywalker's thoughts after the revelation of Amidala's death[src]

Because his limbs were severed and his body severely burned on Mustafar Darth Vader lost much of his Force potential. As Darth Vader, Skywalker was believed to have had roughly eight-tenths of the strength of the Emperor. But even still, Vader wielded tremendous power and skill. Had he sustained none of his injuries on Mustafar, he would have been even more powerful than the Emperor. The Emperor, having gone out of his way to keep Vader alive, took an alternative viewpoint. Though it was true to say that he had not bargained for an apprentice that was "more machine than man", Palpatine was initially of the opinion that most of the limitations on Vader's potential power were not physical but psychological. He believed that, were Vader to fully confront his choices and disappointments to completely shake himself out of his despair, he would have been able to reawaken the incredible power within him. Yet, while Vader made progress in this regard, he was never fully able to accept who, and what, he had become. Sidious would ultimately come to realize that Vader would never be the apprentice he longed for. He would try to replace him on at least two occasions with more powerful Force-sensitives, Galen Marek and Luke Skywalker. One of Vader's talents was to be able to block blaster bolts with his hands because his gloves are composed of a unique micronized iron that could deflect anything short of a lightsaber blow. Darth Vader also seemed to favor the Force choke ability, as he demonstrated it numerous times throughout his life. Vader also appeared to have great physical strength, able to lift a grown man by the throat with one hand, and picking up the Emperor and hurling him to his death. Whether these feats result from his use of the Force or from the power of his cybernetic limbs is

unknown. However, it seems most likely to be a result of his mechanical appendages, as when he choked Kenobi in their battle on Mustafar. Besides the life support it provided his ravaged body, Vader's Sith armor also offered some protection against the blades of lightsabers. In a climactic duel with his son in the depths of Cloud City, a quick blow from Luke's lightsaber appeared to cut the armor only shallowly, although this was enough to draw a surprised cry from the Dark Lord. Because of his decreased mobility, he was at a disadvantage when dueling against beings using faster and quicker combat styles like Ataru. To counter fast-moving opponents, he would use the Force to pull out anything from his surroundings that wasn't nailed to the ground and fling the improvised missiles at his opponent. Without moving a muscle, anything from the venue of the battle could be used as a weapon to crash against Vader's opponents from all directions in a never-ending barrage. Darth Vader first used this tactic in the Duel on Mustafar, slicing shards of metal from the walls and shooting them at Obi-Wan Kenobi. Darth Vader also used this tactic to bring down Jedi Knight Roan Shryne, and most famously Luke Skywalker in their first duel on Bespin.

It should be noted that Darth Vader, despite being a powerful Sith Lord, was unable to generate Force lightning. This was due to his cybernetic implants, and any attempt by Vader to generate it would cause it to backfire, electrocuting his life-support systems, causing it to short-circuit and kill him. This is ultimately how he was killed, as his act of redemption in saving his son caused him to be bombarded with the Emperor's lightning. Because Vader's Sith powers were limited due to his artificial limbs, Darth Sidious found him less than satisfactory as his heir to the Sith legacy, despite the effort Sidious spent for more than a decade to recruit Skywalker. Upon the discovery of Luke Skywalker, Palpatine concentrated on turning him to the dark side.

Other abilities
Anakin Skywalker was a man of many talents. He was well known for his exceptional piloting skills, skills that earned him a name as a Jedi ace and a Tan; having such a piloting reputation that some would go so far as to argue he was the best star pilot in the galaxy. During Skywalker's tenure as a slave, he made a name for himself by being a podracer. He was one of the few Humans and the youngest one with the reflexes to

actually pilot a podracer, thanks to his Force sensitivity. Skywalker even won the Boonta Eve Classic race at the age of nine, an act that won him his freedom. Young Skywalker also attracted the attention of many in the Republic: during the Battle of Naboo, he piloted a Naboo starfighter and destroyed a Droid Control Ship. His efforts no doubt single-handedly helped win the battle, but it was only a foreshadowing of his skills to come. During the Clone Wars, Skywalker was one of the Republic's best and most famous star pilots. He perfected an assortment of strategies; most notable was his skill at opening fire just before passing through enemy formations, leaving little time for evasion. He also displayed relentless tenacity in chasing down his targets as well as shaking off target locks. The latter ability would later be displayed by his son, Luke Skywalker. His abilities garnered the attention of both Chancellor Palpatine and his peers. At the Battle of Coruscant, Skywalker was able to safely land the huge cruiser Invisible Hand, despite the fact that he was only flying half a ship, and it was not even built to be able to land.

"I can fix anything." Anakin Skywalker[src] Skywalker was also known to be an exceptional mechanic. He could fix anything from a damaged droid motivator to a malfunctioning repulsorlift. The young Skywalker quickly understood how things worked, and his strong knowledge of mechanical systems coupled with his closeness to the Force allowed him to pilot most vehicles and starfighters. He used his droid hydrospanner wrench to reassemble his Otoga 222 and built welding goggles with many settings from scratch to use for precise work and to diagnose mechanical problems. At the age of nine he created, even with limited resources, the protocol droid C-3PO to aid his mother. For the Boonta Eve Classic race, Skywalker entered his custom-built podracer made from parts found in Watto's junk shop. As testament to Anakin Skywalker's engineering brilliance, his Podracer featured a number of amazing innovations built into its compact frame. Skywalker salvaged a pair of Radon-Ulzer 620C racing engines that Watto deemed too burned out to be of any use. Less crafty pilots often invested in larger engines in the hopes of getting greater performance. The trouble with that route is that the larger the engine, the heavier the racer. Skywalker side-stepped that dilemma by developing a new fuel atomizer and distribution system that sent more fuel into the Radon-Ulzer's combustion chambers, radically increasing their thrust and his racer's top speed to almost 950 kilometers per hour. Skywalker capped each Radon-Ulzer with a trio of bright yellow air scoops that provided additional control when braking and cornering. When meeting up with his former slave owner, Skywalker proved his identity to the Toydarian by fixing a

machine Watto was tinkering with. During the Clone Wars Skywalker extensively modified a Delta-7 Aethersprite starfighter into a fully customized starship known as Azure Angel; modifications that would pave the way for the Eta-2 Actis interceptor. Skywalker also often tinkered with his prosthetic arm as he did his starfighter. The TIE Advanced x1 starfighter was designed to Vader's specifications, having larger angular wings, a considerably longer rear engine, and thicker support struts than the standard TIE. In addition, Skywalker was fluent in understanding the electronic language of Binary, the information-dense, low redundancy electronic language of most pit crew and simple droids, thus, allowing him to interface with them. Darth Vader was a brilliant strategist and was still, despite his weakened powers, one of the greatest pilots in the galaxy. His armor did not dull the precognition ability he possessed since childhood and he was able to predict the movements of his targets during dogfights with pinpoint precision. He still possessed his former persona's amazing engineering skills, having personally overseen the design of both his TIE Advanced x1 fighter and the second Death Star's construction.

Anakin's first lightsaber

Anakin's second lightsaber

Anakin built and used two lightsabers during his time as a Jedi. First Lightsaber Main article: Anakin Skywalker's first lightsaber In 28 BBY, as a young Padawan, Skywalker traveled to Ilum as a test of skill to construct his first lightsaber. While constructing his lightsaber deep inside one of the caverns, Skywalker encountered a vision of Darth Maul. After a struggle, Skywalker managed to defeat this dark incarnation, and, upon awakening, Skywalker discovered he had constructed a lightsaber that contained one of the sapphire Adegan crystals that grew in Ilum's caverns, giving the blade a distinct blue glow. The design of the hilt suited his practice of Form V. He did not do what many Padawans do and create a lightsaber to resemble his master'sinstead creating a personalized make that favored maximum power. This lightsaber would go on to be used by Skywalker up until the onset of the Clone Wars, when it was destroyed just prior to the Battle of Geonosis.

Second Lightsaber Main article: Anakin Skywalker's second lightsaber Skywalker later built a new lightsaber of a slightly different design. This weapon was a powerful creation that portrayed his skill of mechanical engineering; specifically built and designed for a master of Djem So, as Skywalker was soon to become. In 19 BBY, after his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar, this lightsaber was taken by Skywalker's former Master, which he kept with him on Tatooine. In 0 BBY, Kenobi passed Skywalker's lightsaber, the one he'd retrieved from the black shores of Mustafar, down to Skywalker's son, Luke, whom Kenobi had been watching over. Kenobi must have modified the saber while he was on Tatooine since the hilt was slightly different at that time, most notably the belt fastener was changed from a clip into a ring. In the hands of Luke Skywalker, Skywalker's blade was wielded against numerous foes, even against Skywalker himself as the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. During his duel on Bespin with Luke, Vader sliced off Luke's right hand, sending both Luke's hand and lightsaber into the depths of Cloud City. The lightsaber, along with Luke's hand, would later be recovered. A few years after Skywalker's death at Endor, Joruus C'baoth, a mad clone of Jedi Master Jorus C'baoth, would use Luke's severed right hand to create a clone of the Jedi, Luuke Skywalker. Wielding the blade of Skywalker, Luuke went on to duel Luke and Mara Jade. After Luuke was killed by the combined effort of the duo, Luke recovered his father's weapon and presented it to Mara as a gift. The lightsaber would

remain in Mara's possession for many years and was passed on to his grandson Ben Skywalker. It would later be displayed in the Skywalkers' home on Ossus.

Vader's lightsaber, 0 BBY

Vader's lightsaber, 3 ABY After his defeat on Mustafar at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi and the subsequent theft of his lightsaber by the Jedi Master,[11] Vader was forced to build a new weapon. His new weapon was constructed in the shadow of the Death Star, with Palpatine providing the synthetic lightsaber crystal for the weapon, as well as his own lightsaber to serve as a model. However, Vader considered his master's weapon an antique, and sought to create a personalized design with more ballast. Attempting to please Palpatine, Vader attempted to create a novel design, but the resulting weapon was little more than a black-alloy version of his first Jedi lightsaber.[81] This weapon featured a thick, ridged handgrip, a high-output diatium power cell, a dualphase focusing crystal, forward mounted adjustment knobs, and a beveled emitter shroud. However, due to the size of his mechanical hands, Vader was forced to make

the grip considerably thicker and longer than his original lightsaber, resulting in an inelegant weapon, verging on ungainly.[81] It is known that Vader created more than one lightsaber, but due to the modifications Vader made to his weapons, it is impossible to tell which is the original. Vader also appears to have experimented with a rounded emitter shroud similar to his second Jedi weapon.[3] Vader's lightsaber was lost when it fell down the reactor shaft on the Death Star II along with the remains of his mechanical right hand during the final battle with his son. [3]

Obi-Wan Kenobi Powers and abilities

Despite his preference for diplomacy, Master Kenobi was one of the greatest swordsmen and Force-users in Jedi history. As a young Jedi Padawan, Kenobi showed much potential, through feats such as resisting a memory wipe (being renewed) at the hands of the Syndicat,[8] and defeating a corrupt Bruck Chun in a lightsaber duel.[18] He accomplished the prior by placing Force barriers all around his mind, something only a Jedi Master should be able to do. This displayed not only his strength in the Force but also his strength of character. [8]

Lightsaber training

In his early years, Kenobi was trained in Ataru, but later abandoned it as his primary form due to its lack of defense, which resulted in the death of his master, Qui-Gon Jinn.[41] However, he still mastered Ataru and utilized it on numerous occasions. After changing his signature lightsaber form, Kenobi studied and mastered Soresu. Even masters such as Mace Windu acknowledged Kenobi's prowess with this form; indeed Windu once claimed that Kenobi was not a master of Soresu but the master of Soresu. Kenobi's mastery of Soresu allowed him to easily fend off countless blaster wielding opponents and it was also equally effective against another lightsaber duelist.[13] Kenobi also utilized elements of Shii-Cho, infusing the style into his swordplay during his rematch with Count Dooku on board the Invisible Hand.[13] He also knew Sokan, which he utilized in his fight against Darth Vader,[45] and Niman, sometimes using its

opening stance with the blade cocked high,[135] and was apparently skilled in Jar'Kai. Using Ky Narec's lightsaber in addition to his own, he was able to resist a seasoned practitioner of this style, Asajj Ventress, during their short duel on Rattatak. Kenobi also utilized Jar'Kai with both his lightsaber and an electrostaff during one of his duels with General Grievous but the cyborg quickly deprived him of the electrostaff.[93]

Kenobi was one of the greatest duelists of his time, rivaling even Yoda and Mace Windu. He killed Darth Maul in one-to-one engagement and resisted Count Dooku for a lengthy period of time, despite being exhausted and wielding an unfamiliar lightsaber.[7][14] He also fended off Asajj Ventress on several occasions, defeated General Grievous in lightsaber combat during their final encounter,[45] and won against his former Padawan, Darth Vader, without any physical injury.[45] Kenobi was also able to defeat A'Sharad Hett during their duel on Tatooine[111] and hold his own against Darth Vader during their final encounter on the Death Star, despite the fact that he had not fought another lightsaber duelist for many years and therefore his skill had deteriorated. In the end he chose to sacrifice himself rather than continue the fight. [4]

Force powers
Though Kenobi focused largely on lightsaber combat he was also very skilled and powerful in use of the Force. He was trained in use of the Mind trick, Force persuasion and the more advanced Dominate Mind skill.[4] As instructed by Qui-Gon Jinn's Force ghost, Kenobi learned the ability to become a spirit after death, like his former Master. He would later put this skill to good use, guiding and counseling Luke Skywalker.[120][121] Kenobi was also capable of a very powerful Force Push, which he used against Grievous during their duel in 19 BBY. He later displayed his mastery of Force Push during his duel with Darth Vader on Mustafar and neither of them were able to overpower the other while using the power.[45] The fact that Vader's connection to the Force was, at the time, stronger than any known Force user in history (apart from his son) further exemplifies Kenobi's mastery of Force Push. He was also capable of other

telekinetic feats and could use the Force to increase his body's endurance and agility. Kenobi was capable of using the Force to perform extensive acrobatics, allowing him to leap huge distances.

Apart from these impressive applications of the Force, Kenobi was known to be incredibly adept in the use of Animal friendship, allowing him to exert considerable influence over otherwise untamable beasts; indeed, during the Battle of Ryloth, the Jedi Master was able to calm and control a large group of starved, vicious and attacking gutkurrs.[82] It is also possible that Kenobi used this power to create a connection between him and Boga, during the Battle of Utapau, which would account for the high level of loyalty the creature displayed towards him.[45] In addition, Kenobi was able to use Force deflection as well as Force repulse to a remarkable degree, as shown in his fight with Durge when he deflected many of the bounty hunter's attacks without his lightsaber and exploded him from the inside out after being absorbed. Kenobi was also known to have some knowledge of Force absorption in his repertoire. To exactly what extent is unknown, but he was able to absorb several types of Force energy, including Force lightning. [136]

Other abilities
Obi-Wan Kenobi proved himself to be a great military strategist, which resulted in his attaining the rank of High General along with Mace Windu during the Clone Wars. He personally led his troops to many famous victories on worlds such as: Raxus Prime, Muunilinst and Utapau, as well as countless others. His persuasive demeanor earned him the moniker of "The Negotiator," and his tactical skills allowed the Republic to minimize Clone casualties during many of their battles. His use of Advanced Recon Commandos and Lance Troopers on Muunilinst were key elements to the victory of the Republic.[49] His strategic ability was also shown in his lightsaber combat. Applying the principles of Soresu and Sokan, he often took advantage of his superior defensive capabilities and position on the battlefield to win his battles with as little effort exhausted as possible. He used this particular strategy to tire his former Padawan out and sever his legs and left arm on Mustafar.[45]

Despite his dislike of flying, Kenobi was an excellent pilot. As a Padawan, he was known as one of the greatest pilots in the Jedi Order, expressing great interest in the early Jedi starfighter program. During the Clone Wars, he led many attacks from the cockpit of his Jedi starfighter or his Jedi interceptor, often designated as Red Leader. He could repair all kinds of craft and machines as well as use computers to enhance his various skills. Kenobi also seemed to be a skilled hand to hand combatant. Trained at the Jedi Temple and having undergone extensive sparring matches with Masters Jinn and Windu, he developed a considerable level of skill in unarmed combat, enough so to outclass Pre Vizsla, leader of the Death Watch, in both their bouts of the lightsaber as well as their fists.[96] During his duel with Jango Fett on Kamino, Kenobi was briefly deprived of his lightsaber, and fought the bounty hunter in unarmed combat.[14] In his later years, Kenobi apparently learned to understand Shyriiwook[137] and other alien languages.

When Kenobi was a youngling and Padawan, he was given a lightsaber by an unknown Jedi, probably Yoda, for training. His first Padawan lightsaber accompanied him until an unknown circumstance. Kenobi built a new lightsaber based on the designs of his friend Quinlan Vos and his Master Qui-Gon Jinn.

The second Padawan lightsaber was with him until the Battle of Naboo, when Darth Maul disarmed Kenobi and kicked his lightsaber down a generator shaft. To defeat the Sith, Kenobi used Force pull to reach for his fallen Master's discarded lightsaber and kill Maul. There were debates as to what happened to Kenobi's second Padawan lightsaber. Either he somehow retrieved his saber from the pit or replaced his lost one by making an exact replica. He used Jinn's lightsaber for an unknown time. [7] Ten years after his Master's death and the approval of his training of young Anakin Skywalker, Kenobi still used the same design as his second Padawan lightsaber. This lightsaber was lost when Kenobi was captured by the Separatists on Geonosis. During the Battle of Geonosis, he was given a temporary replacement by one of the Jedi in the task force that had come to rescue him, Skywalker and Senator Amidala. Kenobi later reacquired his own lightsaber and used it during the early part of the Clone Wars.[14] After being promoted to the rank of Jedi Master, Kenobi built what was to be his final lightsaber. This last one was based on the design of his first Padawan saber. During his exile, he made some adjustments with its parts, such as changing the belt fastener from a clip to a ring. It was either built, or later customized, to work under water.[74] Even after his death, he left a journal of how to create a lightsaber. Luke used that journal to build his first lightsaber based on the design of Kenobi's. In the New Jedi Order, that design provided inspiration to the newer generations, like Jaina and Anakin Solo.[122]

Darth Sidious Powers and abilities

"The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural." Palpatine[src]

Darth Sidious was the most powerful Dark Lord of the Sith in the history of the Sith Ordersomething he himself firmly believed[22] and he was the only Sith Lord in a thousand years to achieve the ultimate goal of the Sith: to eradicate the Jedi Order and bring the galaxy under the rule of the Sith. But his greatest strength, what made him the appropriate Sith to exact their order's revenge, was the way he could manipulate beings all across the galaxy good or evil. Indeed, as Jedi Grand Master Yoda once described it, the shroud of the dark side clouded everything.

Lightsaber training

Despite his frail appearance, Darth Sidious was incredibly skilled in lightsaber combat, one of the greatest duelists of all time. A Sith Swordmaster, Sidious was one of the very few who was the equal of Yoda or Mace Windu. Thanks to his tremendous skill, he killed Agen Kolar and Saesee Tiin who were considered to be two of the finest Jedi of their time each with a single blow, and while also engaged with Mace Windu, slew Kit Fisto moments later.[104] He also managed to fight Yoda to a draw in a lightsaber duel later on.[104] Many years later, Palpatine, in one of his clone bodies, engaged and

defeated Luke Skywalker in a one-on-one lightsaber duel in his clone labs on Byss. He was ambidextrous and could change his fighting style at a whim keeping his opponents unsure of what his next move would be. A master of every lightsaber combat form, Sidious drew his opponents in, fighting less than his true capability, and then striking the fatal blow when his opponents thought they had the better of him. When fighting at full strength the Sith Lord was a terrifying opponent. Sidious had an extremely aggressive dueling style and augmented his swordplay by using Force Speed which allowed him to defeat three experienced Jedi Masters with very little effort. His brutal fighting style allowed him to overwhelm Luke Skywalker during their first duel and Skywalker only barely defeated him during their second. Sidious' preferred fighting style appeared to be Juyo and during his duel with Mace Windu he utilized an acrobatic maneuver which was probably an Ataru technique. However Sidious' preferred lightsaber form has not been officially confirmed. Sidious claimed that he had grown stronger after returning from the dead. Considering that he may have spent time near becoming one with the Force, it's likely he wasn't exaggerating. His younger, fit, clone bodies would also contribute to his power. In fact, the only people known to have defeated him in a lightsaber duel were Mace Windu on Coruscant, [104] and Luke Skywalker, aboard the Eclipse.

Force Powers
"I've played along with your Jedi dueling games long enough! Now you will experience my full potency... I live as energy... I am the Dark Side!" Palpatine[src]

In addition to his lightsaber combat skills, Darth Sidious was considered to be one of the greatest Force users of all time. Palpatine was a master of Force lightning and was known to use this both as a lethal attack, and as a way of torturing his enemies. [93] He was also extremely skilled with telekinesis; during his battle with Yoda, he levitated several Senate pods simultaneously, including the one he was standing on, with incredible dexterity and precision.[104] Sidious was also a master of Force speed, implementing it into his fighting style and allowing him to move so quickly that his opponents would often find themselves unable to react in time, [22] as well as Force Flight.[79] Sidious was also the only known being capable of producing a Force storm of his own power, a dark side technique which he himself discovered. Using his anger and his will,

Palpatine was able to rip the space-time continuum and create a hyperspace wormhole. It should be noted that even though he claimed to be able to conjure a storm simply by willing it, by his own admission he was not able to fully control it. By 10 ABY, however, the Emperor believed himself fully capable of controlling a Force storm, and it took Luke and Leia's combined efforts through the light side to turn his dark side creation against him.[111] Another very dangerous and advanced Force technique utilized by the Emperor was the ability to use the Force to transfer his essence, as well as the essences of others, which he used to survive death on at least two occasions.[3] He had a supply of clone bodies ready to house his spirit until the last one succumbed to his own corruptive power and the sabotage of his subordinates.[112] He used this power not only as a pathway to immortality, but also as a particularly cruel and sadistic form of torture; it is known that he killed and resurrected Imperial engineer Bevel Lemelisk seven times as punishment for the destruction of the first and second Death Stars.[99] Among the Emperor's powers was the ability to channel the collective life essences of billions to sustain himself and his Dark Side Adepts; his victims would live in a dreamlike state while his own power grew. The entire population of Byss lived under this spell until the planet's destruction by the Galaxy Gun.[113] It was mentioned by Luke Skywalker that the Emperor's very voice had a hypnotic lull to it whenever he was outwardly projecting his dark side Force powers. This could lend weight to the fact that he had considerable mind control powers. As it seems that whenever Darth Vader was in Sidious' immediate presence, he would yield total obedience, not once contradicting his master's orders. But when away Darth Vader would revert to his own individuality. The Emperor's own force of will was unsurpassed. Darth Sidious was highly adept at foreseeing the future, often utilizing the power to see his plots to fruition, ensuring that all would proceed as he had envisioned. [93] Furthermore, Sidious was a master of Force stealth, able to hide his dark nature from the Jedi Order for many years before allowing himself to be discovered. Sidious was so powerful in the dark side that he was able to cloud the Jedi's vision, making it exceedingly difficult to predict future events.[114] Upon spending decades immersing himself in the many facets of the Force, it was believed that Palpatine had a mastery over all known powers, previously unknown powers, and could create new abilities on a whim.[19] By the time of his final death, he had become a nexus of the dark side capable of tearing apart the fabric of space.[111] "Conquer the temptation to create specimens that are superior in every way. The danger of such monstrosities being turned against you is too great." Palpatine, from The Creation of Monsters.[src]

Palpatine was a master of Sith alchemy, an ancient art he was taught by Darth Plagueis.[115][104] He wrote about alchemy in The Creation of Monsters, the unfinished last part of his Dark Side Compendium. He rediscovered the long-forgotten art of creating chrysalides, and used it to alchemically alter rancors into fearsome chrysalis beasts used as pets at his Citadel on Byss.[116]. He also created Shadow Droids, hybrid mechanic/organic starfighters controlled by his own will, used against the Republic after his return in a clone body.[112] He may have also used alchemy to hide his true face from the Jedi and the rest of the galaxy as a senator and Chancellor of the Republic.[117] In the end, only four known beings have been capable of combating Darth Sidious on equal terms without aid: Mace Windu, Yoda, Galen Marek and Luke Skywalker.

Leia Organa Solo Powers and abilitiesEdit

"Your mother is a powerful Jedias strong in her way as you are in yours." Saba Sebatyne to Jacen Solo about Leia

Though Leia would originally follow in her mothers footsteps, becoming a shrewd politician, she possessed many other talents. Indeed, Leia would eventually follow the path of her father and brother, becoming a Jedi of considerable skill; both with the Force and a lightsaber.

During her first term as senator, she was taught self-defense and combat skills by Giles Durane, a weapons master and friend of Bail Organa.[30] Leia was an excellent marksman, missing rarely, if ever, with a blaster.[104] Leia was a skilled tactician who was involved in the planning of several important engagements during the various galactic conflicts of her time.[104] As of 2 ABY, Leia Organa admitted she did not know how to swim.[44] Though hesitant about her Jedi training, Leia was later taught various Force techniques, and she eventually became a full-fledged member of the New Jedi Order. Being the daughter of Anakin Skywalker, it was theorized that her full Force potential might have been the same as her brother Luke's. Under Jedi Master Saba Sebatyne, Leia dramatically increased her Force powers and skill with a lightsaber, to the point that Sebatyne believed her to be the equal of any Jedi Knight. A short time after having learnt of her Force-sensitivity in 4 ABY, Leia was able to use the Force to sense her brother's presence, confirming he had survived the destruction of the second Death Star. During the Swarm War, Leia was able to use her much increased connection to the Force, having become the student of Master Sebatyne, to sense the whereabouts of Alema Rar by distinguishing between the powerful Living Force presences on the planet Tenupe, which contrasted sharply with Alema's hidden presence. In 10 ABY, Leia helped her brother defeat Palpatine through the use of her natural talent with battle meditation; at this time Leia had little Force training and her ability to use such a powerful Force power is indicative of her strength in the Force.[70] Still untrained, Leia was able to shield her infant son Anakin, from Palpatine's disembodied spirit, preventing the Sith Lord from possessing the child.[13] Leia was skilled in the use of Force Push, Force Pull and Saber throw powers, as well as in using the Force to plant herself firmly in place. Leia exhibited a talent for telekinetically controlling the air paths taken by fog, being able to manipulate it at great speeds, allowing the Millennium Falcon to race through it without losing visibility prior to the onset of the Dark Nest crisis. In 40 ABY, Leia was able to telekinetically hold the Millennium Falcon together, against the pressure caused as it crashed through the atmosphere of Coruscant. However, it took the combined might of Leia, Jaina and Jacen to ultimately land the severely damaged ship with the Force. Although strong in telekinesis, Leia was not very good with levitation. In 43.5 ABY, she strained in moving Jedi Knight Warv and could not divide her attention to Han when he said that two apprentices had left their robes behind.[103]

After training under Master Sebatyne, Leia's skills with a lightsaber became formidable; allowing her to hold her own against, and severely injure, the much younger Alema Rar on several occasions. Even before her official training, Leia proved capable of defeating the centuries old and fully trained Dark Jedi Beldorion in a fierce lightsaber duel. Despite her grief over the supposed death of her brother, Leia proved capable of dueling Tahiri Veila; indeed, it was the intervention of Han Solo alone that made Leia spare the aspiring Sith apprentices life. Like the other Jedi of her family, Leia demonstrated a talent for participating in Force Melds. Notably Leia participated in a battle meld with her daughter, Master and Zekk during the battle of Tenupe. Leia was capable of telepathic feats; being able to communicate through the Force with her brother at a seemingly limitless range. Leia also demonstrated an ability to reach out to others in the Force to read their feelings or emotions. During her interrogation during the Swarm War, Leia was able to telepathically read the mind of her interrogator so as to learn his name and unnerve him. During her third duel with Alema Rar, Leia was temporarily able to fool Alema into relinquishing her weapon; an exceptional achievement against a fully trained Jedi Knight. Leia proved able to use Jedi mind tricks on troopers who attempted to arrest her during the funeral of her sister-in-law. Leia also showed a talent in Force-flashing electronical devices. In 44 ABY, Leia and Han went to visit Tahiri Veila in her cell, as her trial had just begun. The guards there however would not let Leia and Han speak to Tahiri alone, the most they got was speaking to Tahiri alone in her cell, as the camera was recording their conversations. Leia Force-flashed it so all three of them could talk in privacy without being overheard by anyone.
