Infosys Recruitment Process For Freshers

Tue, 12/28/2010 - 11:16 | mtbpost Let us discuss the 2 Stages in Infosys Recruitment Process for freshers. This is a discussion based on some recent recruitment drives. However, there could be instances where some of these stages, pattern etc were modified. In general, Infosys recruitment has two stages : I) Written Test II) Personal Interview I) Written Test : Generally the written test includes two major sections 1) Puzzle Solving and 2) English Section 1) Puzzle Solving : This section generally contains 10 questions and the duration is 60 minutes. Difficulty level and distribution of marks is not constant across questions. Few questions would be very difficult, few would be moderately difficult and others would be relatively easier than the rest. Marks distribution would vary accordingly. Most of the puzzles would be similar to those found in Shakunthala Devi puzzles book. 2) English Section : This section would carry about 45 questions and the duration would be 30 minutes. English section is on the easier side when compared to the puzzles section. Some common sections would include sentence formations, filling the blanks right words, rearranging jumbled sentences etc. Questions would be very simple and with a good knowledge in English, you should be solve this in a twenty minutes time. II) Personal Interview : Generally Infosys conducts tech and HR interviews combined and by the same panel for both.(In some cases they could be held separate as well.) You might be asked to solve a few puzzles in real time during the interview. Other than this you could be grilled on technical questions depending on your stream of study. HR questions would be very simple and generally there would be least elimination from interviews as far as Infosys is concerned.

CTS Recruitment Process - 2 Stages You Must Know (Updated)

Wed, 06/09/2010 - 09:41 | mtbpost CTS is known for its massive recruitment drives both from campus placements and via off campus. The stages involved in CTS recruitment have essentially remained the same over years. Let us discuss the two important stages based on information compiled from recent placements. Stage I. Written Test : You can expect two half an hour sections that total to 1 hour of written test. Two sections would be 1) Aptitude and 2) Verbal sections b) Aptitude Section : This section, unlike other companies, may not contain numeric aptitude questions, but may predominantly contain questions that demand that you should answer by applying logical and analytical skills. These questions can be little tricky. For example, you could expect questions asking you to analyze data in harts and answer the following questions. Difficulty level would generally be moderate to difficult. a)Verbal Section : This is a conventional section with familiar sections like synonyms, sentence correction, sentence formation (by rearranging sentences) etc. Stage II. HR and Technical Interview Combined : In most cases, CTS normally conducts an interview (which could be time consuming) where technical and HR rounds would be combined and would be conducted by the same panel. However there could be instances where they can be held separate. Technical questions would be from your areas of interest, final year projects, programming basics etc. HR questions would be very simple and would be aimed at determining your strengths, attitude towards the work, long term and short term goals etc.

HCL RECRUITMENT PROCESS

1) WRITTEN TEST (COMPUTER BASED ONLINE TEST) Written test was been conducted by aspiring minds. It consists of 83 questions, we have to write them in 90 minutes. The pattern consists of 4 sections : 1.VerbalAbility(25Qns30Mins) 2.QuantitativeAptitude(25qns35mins) 3.Logicalreasoning(25Qns35Mins) 4. Technical Comprehension (8 Qns 8 Mins) The test held for about 107 minutes in which each sections were divided accordingly. The first section consists of a passage followed by questions as this is based on English it is quite difficult. The second and third section consists of aptitudes and quantitative as I do not remember the questions I will tell the topics in which it was covered.. Logarithmic, powers, Roots, Profit loss, ratio, mixtures, seating arrangements, finding the next number, next series alphabet, rice and milk mixture problems, directions, what is the remainder some xxxxx number divided by 17, data sufficiency, each of the above topics consists of 2 to 3 questions friends and finally technical comprehension. A passage was given about networks and hijack on red hat Linux and technical questions were asked it was same like reading comprehension only. This is very important to clear, if you clear the written test you are almost (75%) placed in the HCL. Prepare the R.S AGARWAL book its more than enough. 2)GROUPDISCUSSION Its very easy round to clear, though you are not aware of the topic it is easy because HR people gives brief description about one topic, later they ask questions on this topic. If you are good listener, pay some attention you definitely clear this round each group contains 10 members, major elimination is here only from my group only two members are cleared, at other panels they selected 6 out 10, and some times 9 out 10 also dont fear. If dont know any thing about the topic ask thoughts, this also improves your chances of getting selected in the GD just involve in the discussion by asking questions 3)HRINTERVIEW HR interview is just for formality. But some of us also eliminated here also almost 500 people are qualified for the HR ROUND and 400+ selected (as per my knowledge).
