Diploma in Management
The PGDM Programme at IILM Academy of Higher
learning, caters to the demand of management
professionals and prepares its graduating students for
challenging careers through an intensive and rigorous
curriculum. IILM Institute believes in holistic
development of the students and their participation in
the education programme, instils into them
professionalism, critical thinking, ability to work
hard, and t ake decisions. The Institute also exposes
the students to all aspects of management and its
various facets like environment protection, human
values, social responsibility, information and
communication systems and so forth. IILM is a centre
of excellence in value based education, training,
research and consultancy. IILM 's mission is to

Programme Structure
IILM Institute's pedagogical approach to management
education combines theory with practice. Classroom
learning is highly participative and interactive involving
case studies, simulations and exercises, individual I
group presentations, role-plays, live projects, lectures
along with seminars and inputs from distinguished
speakers.
The course is spread over eight trimesters. The first 4
terms cover the core courses (compulsory courses) to
learn the basics of management leading to the strong
and advance electives in later terms, i.e. terms 5 to 8.
IILM academy offers specialization in all functional
areas of management like Marketing, Finance, Human
Resource Management, International Business and
Information Technology.
Grading and Evaluation System
Assessment in all courses is continuous and
comprehensive and foll ows the Grade Point System of
evaluation on a scale of 8. Students are expected to go
through the academic rigors where evaluation is based
on continuous activities and course work. A minimum
CGPA of 4.0 on a scale of 8.0 is required in order t o
have good academic standing, which makes a student
eligible to receive the Diploma.
Summer Internship
After the completion of the first year of the
Programme, students need t o undertake a two- month
summer internship which is mandatory training for all
students equivalent to two full course on successful
completion of the training in their preferred area of
specialization in any corporat e organization. This
helps to relat e the concepts learned in class with
practice in real-life situations and to make students
aware of business practices, which is essential for
success in the corporate world.
The unique advantages of the programme are :
Dissertation/ Comprehensive Project
Comprehensive project in preferred area of
specialization which is equivalent to 3 credit
courses.
Evaluation of project by a panel of faculty and
indust ry. This constitutes a major component of the
learning process in the programme.
Live Projects
Live project s with corporates as part of the
integrated learning process enables student t o
obtain an underst anding of the overall functions of
the organization, exposure to actual work situations
and an appreciation of society and societal issues.
Appropriate credits are awarded to the students for
these proj ects and experience as decided by the
program committee.
Personality Development Programmes
The personal personality development programme
aims at strengthening and developing the students for
the corporat e world. Industry specific need based
workshops are conducted to enhance students soft
skills as confidence, attitude, interpersonal skills,
basic etiquettes and grooming for the corporate world.
Mentoring
The mentoring concept has been very unique to
provide help and guidance to the students during their
tenure at the campus which relat es to the personal and
professional excellence.
Psychometric Testing
The psychometric t est are conducted which help the
students to underst and themselves, their skills and
compet ence and identify the lacunae for further
development.
Focused Group Discussions
Focused group discussions are conducted amongst the
students on the most relevant issues faced by them
and they also share their own experiences. It provides
an opportunity for disclosure with similar set of people
and help them t o learn from other' s experiences.
Counselling Services
Counselling services are offered to the students in
order to help them in realizing their true self.
Counsellors are available on the campus to help the
students in managing their career aspirations,
managing emotions & handling situations.
Resource Centre
A well equipped Resource Centre with self help books,
psychometirc tests, audio video aids operates at the
campus that encourages students towards selfhelp.

Partnered with various corporate entit ies and their
associations to work together with and involve them
in our value creation process.
Conducts corporate seminars, MDPs, case writing
initiatives and similar activities to foster the

International Tie-ups I Collaboration
School of Management, Simmons College,
Boston, USA
IILM -AHL, J aipur has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI)
with Simmons College, Boston, US. The purpose is to
develop and explore opportunities in the general areas
of academic training and capacity-building,
collaborative research, scholarly collaboration,
institutional strengthening, students and faculty
exchange, community-university linkage and
identification of funding opportunity.
York Institute of Health & Research (YIHR),
Canada
IILM, Jaipur has established a five-year partnership
with prestigious York Institute of Health Research
(YIHR), York University, Toronto, Canada for a
comprehensive Research Project on 'Social and
Cultural Determinants of Health: Risk Factors for
Chronic Disease and Well Being in India and Canada'.
In Jaipur the project was carried out with the title
'Geographical Information System Modelling & Social
Determinants of Health: A Study between Toronto,
Canada &Jaipur, Rajasthan'.
In this context, a State Level workshop was also
organized by IILM for the in-depth analysis of the
situation entitled 'Chronic Diseases in India with
Specific reference to Rajasthan'. This was followed by
an International Workshop in Toronto, Canada
(funded by International Opportunities Fund), as a
think-tank for the outcome and way-forward on the
Social and Cultural Determinants of Health: Risk
Factors for Chronic Disease and Well Being in India
and Canada.
Further, members from IILM 's research team also
visited YIHR, Canada to participate in IOF
(International Opportunities Fund) Workshop on
'Social & Cultural Determinants of Health: Chronic
Disease and Well-being in India & Canada', (May 9-14,
2009), for presentation and further discussion on data
collected in both J aipur and Toronto
Research partnership with UNICEF, Rajasthan
in collaboration with Planning Department, GoR
IILM organized four major workshops on MDGs in
collaboration with UNICEF, namely: Universal
Primary Education (July 5, 2008), Status of
Sanitation Sector in Rajasthan (September 19, 2008),
Improve Maternal Health (January 22, 2009), Gender
Equality and Women Empowerment (January23,
2009).
The Planning Commission, GOI extended its support
in holding the 'Writer's Conclave on MDGs in
Rajasthan with reference to Education and Health'
(August 8-10, 2009), and IILM was identified as the
key organizer for the same. In addition, IILM
Research Cell generated a comprehensive report on
"Status of MDGs in Rajasthan-An Analysis", which
has become a State-Level document and is foreseen as
a doctrine for various district collectors of the state as
mirror-image of status ofMDGs in Rajasthan.

Marketing Club
The club focused on, to help its member students keep
attuned to the latest happenings around the world
under the purview of marketing and organizes various
activities like AD mad show, Quiz Competition,
research paper presentation etc. to groom the
concepts & applications of marketing among them.
The club is a great opportunity for its members to
exchange marketing experiences and ideas, as well as

Finance Club
The club serves as a platform to its member students
interested in finance or finance-relat ed careers t o
interact & discuss various aspects of their subject and
to guide them to successfully reach their professional
goals. The club organizes different activities focusing
on the various practical aspects of finacial industry
and provides industry interface for enhancing the
knowledge of its members through professionals from

HRClub
The club provides its member students with the
opportunity to gain knowledge and insight into the
diverse field of human resource management. Human
resource management is an essential partner in
developing and executing organizational strategy, and
includes disciplines such as business leadership, ethics
& sustainability, and organizational development. With
various activities & events we introduce our members to
dimensions of human resource management through
educational and networking events with current human

Alumni Club
It has been formed to keep the liLM Family intact as it
provides a platform for being connected with the
previous priest s of this temple of worship. The CLUB
promotes interaction among alumni and provides
students with valuable social and professional
contacts. It provides a way for alumni to help each
other as well as prospective students, current
students, and young alumni - t o seek guidance in
starting and growing in their careers.
Peer Network
At IILM, your peer group will be the participants
coming from diverse educational backgrounds and
having varying levels of work experience who
encourage a healthy exchange of views, ideas and
experiences. Networking with peers, who have an
underst anding of the global market and the emerging
Indian economy, makes the learning experience at the
IILM more exciting and enriching. Every class brings
with it work experience from diverse fi eld such as IT,

telecom, advertising, petroleum and defence services.

Placements
IILM attracts some of the best recruiters from India
and abroad. The Industry Engagement facilitates
excellent placements as well as desired career shifts. A
team of dedicated and trained professionals provides
career counselling and domain expertise and a
separate team is responsible for building and
maintaining relationship with recruiters and initiates
the process of matching available positions in
Industry with the talent available from the student
pool at IILM.
The placement process commences with a series of
preplacement talks (ppt) by the job posting and
preliminary selection process by recruiters. The
placement process starts in the month of October and
continues till the end of the course. The career
Management center is a unique initiative of IILM -
Academy of Higher learning. It has its foundation, the
aim of providing a comprehensive array of services
and support for its students and alumni that will assist
them in their life - long career development and
placement.
The Industry engagement center acts as a central hub
for all student development and placement relat ed
activities and is a repository of all information and
resources. It builds in its students the competencies
that are valued by prospective employers, forecasting
those that will be essential from a future perspective. It
provides a forum for future employers to articulate
their human resource needs, and accordingly, groom
and r ecommend students for internship and
placement. The industry Engagement recognizes that
student knowledge, skills and attitude play a vital role
in their career choices, with this in mind it facilitates
various tests to measure the student's career related
competencies, and develop them to the fullest extent.

Admissions
For every academic session IILM Institute inducts 120
students to its two year PGDM programme.
Eligibility
Students who have completed their graduation in any
stream or appearing in the final year of their
graduation from universities and institutions
recognized by AICTE I UGC I AIU can apply.
Stage1
Students appearing in CAT I MAT I XAT I ATMA I
RMAT can apply. Detailed information on these tests
can be obtained from the advertisements released in
various national dailies or from the respective
institution I organizations.
Tentative dates for these examinations are:
CAT 5 November, 2011
MAT September I December 2011 I February I May
2012
XAT J anuary, 2012
Stage2
The dates for the personal interview will be intimated
to short listed candidates through e-mail and letter.
For out station candidates PI will be conducted at
various locations. Please check the website for updat es
on Interview centers.
Stage3
The admission will be considered final only after the
payment of started fee along with the security deposit
(as mentioned in the admission offer letter). The fee
once paid is not refundable. The first term at IILM
begins in July.
Scholarships
IILM Institute offer Merit cum means scholarship to
students based on their academic performance and
financial needs. Decision of the Management with
regard to grant of scholarship will be final.
Eligibility for 100% Scholarship*:
- Above 8o% in class Xth & XIIth
- Graduation-70% or above
- MAT (composite score) of 700 or CAT I XAT
percentile of 75 or above
- Student with an annual family income of less than
Rs. 3lacs
Eligibility for so% Scholarship*:
- Above 6o% in class Xth &XIIth
- Graduation- 55% or above
- MAT (composite score) of 575 or CAT I XAT
percentile of 6o or above
- Student with an annual family income of less than
Rs. 6lacs
* The scholarship will be offered for the first year of
the Post Graduate Programme. The continuation of
the scholarship in the second year will be subject to
obtaining minimum CGPA criteria as announced by
the academic council at the time of award of
scholarship.

Study Loan
IILM Institute helps those students who are unable to
secure loan by providing financial assistance and loan
facility to all students from the IILM Foundation.
Learning Facilities
IILM Academy of Higher learning, J aipur has state-of-
the-art computing facilities and specious lecture
theatres supported by an extensive library, residency
facilities and a student recreational centre. The
campus has the right balance between concret e
structure and natural ambience, in line with our
mandate of holistic development. The classrooms and
the seminar halls are fully air-conditioned for long
hours of teaching and interactive participation with a
spacious well - planned campus. All classrooms and
seminar halls are equipped with state-of-the-art
audio-video aids with ceiling mounted LCD's. The
state-of-the-art auditorium with a seating capacity of
150 people, is equipped with the latest audio-visual
equipment in and air-conditioned environment. The
auditorium is used round the year for hosting intra
and inter college events like seminars, conferences,
debates, and cultural activities. It is also utilized by
industry associated for conferences and seminars.
The computer centre is equipped with branded
personal computer adequately supported by high
speed internet round-the-clock for student access. It is
also equipped with a wide range of licenced system
software and applications software. The entire
campus is connect ed with Wi-Fi network. The campus
has a sophisticated web based internet system that
offers continues interaction between the faculty and
students. Apart from providing a life-long web-based
email account, the intranet also has facilities for online
testing, discussion boards and courseware exchange.
The well furni shed and air conditioned library has a
stock of more than 11000 volumes, 4689 title, In all41
National & 49 International Journals, a total of 670
CD's & 176 DVD's There are more than 196 Case
Studies (Soft Copy) and 36 (Hard Copy). Also,
students are provided with WEB OPAC Facility,
DELNET Facility, Wi-Fi Facility & Inter Library Loan
Facility.

Group Identity
The new logo of the Anil Kulwant Raii Group uses a combination of blue and red. The blue signifies
stability, harmony, trust, confidence and order- the color of Krishna. Red represents excitement, energy
and strength- all things intense and passionate.
The additional 'i' in the family name 'Rai' represent IILM, which is the Group's most well known and well
recognized higher education institution. The short form of the Anil Kulwant Raii Group will be 'iGroup'.
Milestones
In the Ten years of its existence, Anil Kulwant Raii Group has focused on education and has grown
manifold. In 2002, the IILM Academy of Higher Learning was set up in Greater Noida on an 18 acre
campus, starting with the College of Engineering and Technology. In the same year, the IILM College of
Management studies st arted, focusing on business studies and management.
IILM was one of the pioneers in the private sector to set up an institute for design. The IILM School of
Design, started in August 2004,has an MOU with IGNOU to offer design education through the distance
learning mode. IILM has also recently entered into an MOU with IGNOU to offer the 5 Year integrated
programs in Law BBA with Law and B.com with Law.
The Banyan Tree schools have also expanded since the first school in 1986. New Schools have been
established in Chandigarh in 2003, in Gurgaon in 2006 and J agdishpur in 2008.
Vision
The Anil Kulwant Raii Group was a very long and rich heritage under Dr. Kulwant Rai whose abiding
passion has education. The Rai School (now known as the Banyan Tree School) was set up in 1986 and the
Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (IILM Graduate School of Management) in 1993. Mrs.
Malvika Rai, the Chairperson ofiiLM, has been responsible for the day-to-day management of the school
and college since their inception. Dr. Kulwant Rai has explained his focus on education in the words of Sri
useful person; it must also make him a better citizen, able and willing to further the progress of the nation
to which he belongs."
