1 About The document


1.1 Document Purpose
This Leave Policy document guides the Delivery community on how should the leaves of the AST team be allocated and managed in the account.

1.2 Target Audience


It is recommended that all the AST members involved within the account as an ETW should be familiar with this policy. Additionally ADMs, Transition Managers, ITO Tower & Service Managers should be familiar with this policy

2 Leave Policy
2.1 Policy Objective
Ensure standardisation of the Leaves across all accounts. Governance on the employee and the AST team performance

2.2 Types of Leave


All the employees under partner payroll are eligible for following type of leaves Privilege Leave Sick Leave Casual Leave Public Leave

2.3 Privilege Leave


An employee shall be entitled to 15 days of privilege leave for each twelve month on continuous paid service Privilege leave accrues at the rate of 1.25 working days for each month of continuous paid service Privilege leaves shall be calculated on a pro rata basis for any period of service which is less than twelve months. Privilege leave does not accrue: o during any period of leave without salary; o during any period of maternity leave without salary; o during any period of sick leave without salary; Privilege leave entitlements should be taken each year at times mutually agreed by a staff member and his or her supervisor. Privilege leaves are entitled to carry forward for a period of 2 years with a maximum leaves of 30 days. Ex. An employee, whose leave balance on 31 March is 35 days, will be able to carry forward only 30 days of leave. If a holiday falls within an employee's period of annual leave, that day will not be deducted from his/her annual leave entitlement.

2.4 Sick Leave


All the employees shall be entitled to Six (6) days sick leave each year. An employee may be required to provide certification to the organization if he or she takes a single day of sick leave: o on a Monday or Saturday; o immediately before or after a public holiday, rostered day off or a flex day; HP Restricted

Outsourcing Services/ITO o or if the organization considers he or she is doing so to a pattern and on a regular or frequent basis;

Note: If the staff member has used all of his/her sick leave entitlements the staff member will be placed onto sick leave without salary.

2.5 Casual Leave


All employees shall be eligible for Six (6) days of casual leave each year. In case a Casual Leave is taken o On either side of the weekly off o On either side of a public holiday, rostered day off or a flex day; The leaves will be considered for all days including scheduled offs.

2.6 Maternity Leave


ML is a leave, which can be availed by female employees during the birth of a child. ML can be taken provided the resource has completed 6 months of service. ML can be availed for a period of 3 months

2.7 Public Holidays


All employees are eligible for the leaves on the following public holidays. Republic Day (26th January) May Day (01st May) Independence Day (15th August) Gandhi Jayanti (02nd October) Festival 1 Festival 2 Any employee working during these days due to site constraint are eligible for a compensatory leave within 10 days of the occurrence. Festival 1 and Festival 2 are the holidays left at the discretion of the employee and after approval from his concerned manager.

2.8 Late coming


Any employee coming late by more 30 minutes to shift timing will be marked as late. 3 late comings are considered as 1 day leave without pay.

3 Guidelines
Any CL or PL for a period of one / two day should be taken with at least 2 days prior notice. Leaves for more than Three days should be taken with at least 15 days prior notice. No leaves are encashable The leaves are calculated according to the financial Year starting from 1st April to 31st March of subsequent year. All leave will be calculated on Pro-rata basis from the date of joining of resource. Maternity leaves should be approved, 2 months in advance. No leaves will be adjusted against the resignation period.
