THREE ASPECTS THAT CAN DERAIL A BELIEVER

Luke 4:1-15.. `And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness. `Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those He did eat nothing: and when they were ended, He afterward hungered. `And the devil said unto Him, If Thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. `And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live on

bread alone, but by every word of God. `And the devil, taking Him up into an high mountain, shewed unto Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. `And the devil said unto Him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them; for that it is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. `If Thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be Thine. `And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the LORD thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve.

`And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set Him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto Him, If Thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: `For it written, He shall give His angels charge over Thee, to keep Thee: `And in their hands they shall bear Thee up, lest at any time Thou dash Thy foot against a stone. `And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, thou shalt not tempt the LORD thy God. `And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from Him for a season.

`And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of Him through all the region round about. `And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
From the scripture we have read the three aspects that can derail believer include;

The direction ones life course :

The devil told Him..`If portrayed:-

Thou be the Son of God.. Here the following things are

Who are you? And, what is your relationship with God like? Do you understand who you are and who participated in laying down your lifes foundations? Do you understand the scripture that built the course of the foundation of your life? The devil continued..`command was trying to speak the following:-

this stone (not stones! No!!) now here the devil

 Do you understand the power you have? Do you understand the power that you have is for what purpose? Do you understand the stipulated time frame of the operationalisation of the power you have?

The devil finished by saying`

that it be made bread. In life, there things that arise

due to the infrastructure of where one is going and the truth is that Jesus required the strength of bread to launch His ministry.`and

He entered into their synagogues

teaching.

Genesis 25:32, 33. `And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? `And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
Brethren it was not the food that gave Jacob the birthright, No! ....`Swear

firstand he sware to him. The words of Esau were the ones that had the power to

cause the transfer of him being born first and therefore give his birthright position of being a ruler.

The food that was given to Esau was the seal of evidence of the words spoken by Esau to Jacob hence paid the debt of the birthright of Esau. Brethren we need to know that there is no Covenant that was made either by God or men that does not involve food to be eaten `Father

unto your hands I commit my Spirit. Jesus told the LORD God, then, His

body became the sacrifice; the Cross became the wood for the burnt offering; while the Blood that was shed became the seal for the remittance of the sins of the world. When Jesus saw that fact then He answered`It

is written Why? :

I. That He had the proof and legal rights that:

Your Heart Inclinations and its Treasures:

The devil said unto Him` If Thou therefore Here the devil was talking the truth that: Worship brings prosperity irrespective of who is being worshiped. Worship has the power to give to an individual two important things; The current world The world to come These two worlds both have the ability to change ones destiny because of the choices made because the author of the two is the same: God`in

wilt worship me, all shall be Thine.

Here the devil is fronting a concept that if Jesus bows and worships then everything will fine and okay. However the concept of worship is to be done without being intertwined with the attitude of receiving gifts. Brethren, we are vessels of worship and for that purpose we are created, because `the

world and all its fullness thereof was created for man..God blessed them

and said, be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth. Rule over all and subdue the earth.
Brethren, a ruler comes to power with the already laid down and built infrastructure in place, it will now depend on him/her the wisdom put in place in the management and utilization of the resources why? ........... When God created man, already the heavens and the earth and its entire fullness were in place and functioning! This was to enable man to rule for always God starts from the known to the unknown. With this realization, Jesus fired back to the devil and said; `.It

is written. What?

We do not worship so that we acquire things/wealth and power. We worship because; before we were the heavens and the earth was made hence became our property at the completion of creation. The remaining duty is just to worship the Maker of all things.

God has already said that; `..do

not worship other gods except

Me and if we do then; `.I am a jealous God and a consuming fire. Why?

He will be shocked and surprised that what you lacked that He has not made for you until you absconded your sole duty of worshipping Him and gone to worship other gods!

 Did you choose to despise Him so much after all the investments He has made for you. Here God will be forced to ask the question; `you mean

after all I have done you repay me by breaking the faith I put in you?
Brethren, you all know and understand quite well battles involving breaking of trust because:They are irreconcilable because you cant get the root cause of the quarrel. There is the likely hood of loss of life by a percentage margin of 100%. Bitterness grows and gives birth to revenge from generations to generations.

Taking the Grace and Favor of God in Vain:

The devil said, `.

For It is written, He shall give His angels charge over Thee,

to keep Thee: `And in their hands they shall bear Thee up, lest at any time Thou dash Thy foot against a stone
Here the devil is trying to speak the following ideologies:

 That the sole responsibility and duty is for Him to delegate the responsibility of protection to angels this is not true because protection is the sole responsibility of God and not angels. We need to know that angels are always before Him for worship and assignments to undertake from their leaders; Angel Gabriel, Arch Angel Michael, The Angel of The Lord. That God sends wherever there is work to be done thats why Christ said, `.If

I want, I will

tell My Father to send His Angels to come and fight for Me.
That a person is free and at liberty to do whatever he so wishes to do for he will not suffer the consequences of the same. Well, this is wrong and a lie for the Bible says; `a

man shall reap what he sows. When Jesus was

slapped in front of the High Priest, He uttered a word and when He was taken to task that He does not respect authority, He answered and said, `I

didnt

know that he was the High Priest the LORD, God rescued Peter out of
prison but it was his responsibility to run to Joppa so that he saves his soul and life from the hands of King Herod. In the walk of faith with the LORD we will not be striking our feet upon stones, NO!! because the Bible tells us that; ` you will be hated

for my sake, put

in prison for my sake.whoever wants to follow Me, must drink

from the same cup that I drink from.. it is not possible for us not to
suffer the course of Christ because of our faith. Brethren, I love the answer that Christ gave to the devil, `.. And

Jesus answering said

unto him, It is said/spoken before, thou shalt not tempt the LORD thy God.. Jesus spoke, `..It is said

Exodus 19:9, 19. `And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD. `And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice. Exodus 20:19, 22. `And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. `And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

Brethren, after the baptism of Jesus, the Holy Ghost came upon Him and a Voice from heaven spoke. `This

is My beloved Son Whom Am well pleased, hear Him it

reaches a time when you need to actually have a clear understanding of what the LORD, God said in your life. This will help you to silence the voice of the devil, for the Bible tells us that; ` And

when the

devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from Him for a season. `And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of Him through all the region round about. `And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
Let the LORD, God help us to deal with issues that come to our lives so that we dont become derailed from the true path that we are required to pursue and follow until when we sleep or taken in His Glory.
