Arthur Conan Doyle, King of mistery

Do you know who is Sherlock Holmes? I am sure that yes. He is one of the greatest detectives in whole history. His writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is not far behind. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, British writer and novelist, was born on May 22, 1859 in Edinburgh, Scotland. His parents were Irish Catholic immigrants to Scotland. His grandfather, John Doyle, was a famous painter and caricaturist. Charles, his father worked in the office of public works in Edinburgh. His mother, Mary Foley, married at 17 and 21 years after losing two sons. Doyle was the first of eight children.With the aid of his grandfather, his mother managed to raise her eight children and her husband, an alcoholic and that just brought money to the family. The tragedies of his family are reflected in some of the characters in his stories. His mother sent him to boarding school in 1868 the Jesuits by the lack of economic resources and to prevent the collapse of not witness his father. In 1876 he entered the University of Edinburgh to study medicine. He traveled as a naval doctor for the Arctic seas between 1882 and 1890 and worked as a doctor in Southsea (England). In 1885 he married Louise Hawkins, his first wife and they had 2 children, Mary Lousie, who was born in 1889, and nobody knows where or when he died and Alleyne Kingsley, born in 1892 and died in 1918. Louise died the 4th of July 1906 of tuberculosis, and one year later he married a french woman called Jean Leckie, With whom it had 3 more children : Jean Lena Annette, Denis Percy Stewart, the two born in 1909 and Adrian Malcolm. His second wife died on 27th June 1940, 10 years later Arthur died.

In 1902 he was knighted on the occasion of the defense of the English spirit in his writings on the Anglo-Boer War, but Doyle knew it was due to recognition of his literary hero. Study in Scarlet, the first of the 68 stories in which Sherlock Holmes appears, was published in 1887. To create the character of Holmes, the author was based on a teacher who met in college and for whom he worked, Dr. Joseph Bell, with ingenious deductive reasoning skills. Equally brilliant are the creations of the characters who accompany him: his friend kind and clumsy, Dr. Watson, who is the narrator of the stories, and the arch criminal Professor Moriarty.

The best Holmes stories are The Sign of Four (1890), The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1892), The Hound of the Baskervilles (1902) and His Last Bow on stage (1917), thanks to which became world famous and popularized the genre of detective fiction. He also had success with his historical novels, such as Micah Clarke (1888), The White Company (1890), Rodney Stone 1

(1896) and Sir Nigel (1906), as well as his play Story of Waterloo (1894). During the Boer War was a military doctor and on his return to England wrote The Boer War (1900) and The War in South Africa (1902), justifying the participation of their country. During World War I he wrote The British campaign in France and Flanders (1916-1920) in tribute to British bravery. He died on July 7, 1930 in Crowborough (Sussex). Arthur was a master writing histories, he will always be remembered as The Greatest Writer Of Mystery His life was everything apart easy. When the World War I exploted, he continued writing stories, and, this is funny, When Doyle was tired of her character he would kill it, but ten years later was forced to return to Holmes to life by the pressure of his family, friends and all England in general. This men had an imagination that we will remember forever.
