I received your April 13, 2012 e-mail responding to my concerns regarding Sergeant Gary Stein, USMC. Thank you for responding. I am a retired Navy Hospital Corpsman who spent most of his military career with the Marines. I was with the Second Marine Division during the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Third Marine Division in Vietnam. Twenty-one plus years of active service with the Navy and Marine Corps and the military justice system does not make me an expert, but it does provide an authoritative forum from which to speak. I retired at Camp Lejeune at 21 years as opposed to 30 because I considered Jimmy Carter the worst Commander in Chief in the 21st century. I am aware the Marine Corps wants to dishonorably-discharge Sergeant Stein for stating publically he refuses to follow orders to disarm or kill American citizens. This comment emanated from a Facebook discussion about trying the soldiers in Afghanistan who were said to be responsible for burning Korans and the fact Congress has passed legislation, that Obama signed, allowing Americans to be labeled belligerents, someone hostile to the U.S., but with no further definition. As an oath keeper, I too support his stance. I too would refuse such an order. I am also cognizant of the fact that Sgt. Stein started the Armed Forces Tea Party Patriots., an obvious no-no in todays military. The page is still up but Sgt. Steins posts have disappeared. The First Amendment gives every American the right to express their opinions and concerns. Just because a person puts on this countrys uniform does not abrogate their right to conscience, speech and their ability to refuse to follow unlawful orders. We disagree if you believe military members with conscience and moral standards must faithfully carry out the oath of enlistment and follow reprehensible but politically motivated orders to defend our nation. The Constitution is superior to Congress and only the people can amend it. This includes the First Amendment. It limits and controls Congress and the executive powers. The Rule of Law prevails only when the people in the federal government obey the Constitution. Congress has become a corrupt institution. President Obama is this countys first ideologically communist president. The Vietnam memorial contains the names of 58,269 Americans who died fighting communism. Some of them were my comrades in arms. I did not fight for this country, nor did my family provide this country 60 years of continuous active service, to replicate here what we fought there and elsewhere in the world. Sgt. Stein obviously has the same beliefs.

You correctly state the military takes an oath to Defend the Constitution of the United States but you left out the word Protect that precedes it. Congressional representatives, senators, judges and other public servants at the state and federal level take the same oath. The record shows they routinely ignore their oaths. As an example, Article 2 of the Constitution cl states, Only native-born U.S. citizens (or those born abroad, but only to parents who were both citizens of the U.S.) may be president of the United States. Article V1 of the Constitution requires an Amendment to Article II to alter the requirement that both parents are U.S. citizens. President Obamas mother was a U.S. citizen and his father was Kenyan born then under British suzerainty. Additionally his lawyers admitted in an open New Jersey court that Obamas birth certificate was a fraud.2 I will not delve into the information Sheriff Joe Arpaio discovered during his investigation, which is criminal in nature, but suffice it to say the aforementioned example points to the fact that Congress and our public officials have gutted the Constitution it takes an oath to protect and defend. The Constitution means nothing if you are unwilling to defend it. Commissar Obama and his fellow travelers want to destroy the last bastion of ethics, morals, and standards in American society. The JCS, under pressure from Obama lied to Congress regarding DADT3. If sexual perversion in the ranks continues, it will ultimately destroy the cohesion, discipline, and morale that make American armed forces preeminent. It will destroy this country and turn it into European countries like Germany, France, and the Netherlands et al who are morally and financially bankrupt and cannot fight their way out of a wet paper bag. When enough people lose faith in American institutions, anarchy will follow. As long as Congress, state legislatures, governors, and judges, federal and state ignore the Constitution, why should anyone else obey the law? Sgt. Stein is more courageous than his superiors who are willing to hang him out to dry. You say you support the First Amendment and will vigorously defend the Constitution of the United States. Now is the time to prove it. Sgt. Stein is an Afghan war veteran who has sacrificed and seen his comrades die protecting yours, mine and everyone elses Constitutional rights and freedom. He obviously has ethics, morals, and standards his betters lack making him a political casualty. Sgt. Stein does not deserve a dishonorable discharge. He deserves an award for being a moral American who has sacrificed to protect and defend our Constitution.. He deserves every Americans support. Yours in the Bill of Rights,

Hill at first said, "It has been released nationally, but then admitted that she did not know personally that Obama had given any such document to the Secretary of State, nor did she intend giving such a document to the court today.
