I would like to say thanks to my English Teacher Pn.Premalatha and my precious fellow friends.I would like to say thanks to my English Teacher for giving this opportunity to deliver my speech.On this fine morning,I would like to talk about an article entitled Doctors. That service is the noblest which is rendered for its own sake.This is mentioned by worlds greatest leader Mahatma Gandhi. The human life on the earth is full of pleasures and sorrows,ups and downs,strength and weakness and health and illness like day and night.These happenings are inherent in everyones life cycle.But it is silver lining that there are noble people who work all their lives to mitigate the sufferings of the others.Among them,the profession of doctors is perhaps most respected for service to the society. What is a doctor?What exactly do they do and why there is so much prestige associated with that profession?Well according to the American Heritage Dictionary,a doctor is a person,especially a physician,dentist or veterinarian,trained in the healing arys and licensed to practice.According to me a doctor is uch more then that. Ever since I can remember,I dreamt of a career in medicine and the reason is not for something small like money or prestige.The reason that I want to become a doctor is the

satisfaction that I would get from knowing that I made a difference in someones life.When one is a doctor,people look up to that individual when they at their weakest point and when they have on one else because doctor helps maintain a sense of hope for the patient and his or her family.Knowing that I will the person people turn on their unforgettable days,when there is no other hope and it will be my responsibility to solve their problem and possible to save a life gives me satisfaction that has much more value then any amount of money. From the day I was born,I never accepted failure.My parents would always tell me how I was youngerand did not know how to tie my shoes I would sit on the couch for hours and trying to teach myself how to do it and ask my mum why I could not do it but everyone else could.I believe that the three most important qualities,which I possess and can make a graet doctor are having empathy,being a good listener and being compassionate.Doctors must be able to listen to their patients problem and fully understand them by putting themselves into the patients position.I belive that having a good connections with patients and being able to talk to people are the most important qualities that all doctors must possess in order to be effective.

So in future,I will be a doctor with the qualities as mentioned above.From now on I will concentrade on my studies and achieve my ambition.
