Aims and Objectives You aim is to produce a detailed account of all of the roles and functions of the fire service You must use various websites and other sources of reference to gain the information How will the assessment take place? After serving a long active spell in the fire service you have officially retired from the job, you have been selected due to your experience to travel around local schools educating the pupils on the role and function of the fire service In order to carry out this task you are required to produce a PowerPoint presentation along with any other resources to best educate the group You must cover all of the functions of the fire service and comment briefly on legislation which has changed the role of the fire service in recent years For each role of the fire service you must provide an example of when the fire service has carried out this function by looking at archives and various other sources. For example: One function of the fire service is dealing and combating RTAs, you must state when example of when the fire service has actually carried out this service.
