CAREER OBJECTIVE
To conduct action research, facilitate participatory technology development and
interventions in the areas of Soil & Water Conservation Engineering, Water Resources
Management and land based livelihoods support systems & translate the research experience
into implementation at field situations to address the broader Natural Resources
Management issues
EDUCATION
Master of Technology (M. Tech.) in Soil & Water Conservation Engineering from Orissa
University of Agriculture & Technology in 1998 with 67.9% (1st Division) marks
10+2 Science from Council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa in 1990 with 77% (1st
div.) marks
High School Certificate from Board of Secondary Education, Orissa in 1988 with 88.5%
(1st div.) marks
Research project (M. Tech. Dissertation) on “Crop Planning for Tube well Commands in
Coastal Saline Belts of Orissa”.

Conduct survey on site selection, Design & Cost estimate and Install several forms of
Micro- Irrigation systems- Drip, Sprinkler, Fogger, Mister, etc.
Associated with Eastern India Rainfed Farming Project (DFID, UK funded) in Gramin Vikas
Trust, Ranchi a premiere NGO as Irrigation Engineer since April 2000 till February 2003

Initiate Planning Process and Prepare Design, Cost Estimation and Execute construction
of several types of Soil and Water Conservation measures and Water Harvesting
Structures
Undertake several low-cost and indigenous soil and water conservation measures with

Associated with South Asian Foundation for Human Initiatives (SAFHI), Kolkata as a Senior
Project Officer since Feb. 2003 till Jan 2005

Prepared Detailed Project Report (DPR) under Provision of Urban Amenities in Rural Areas (a
govt. of India scheme) for District Administration, Hooghly, West Bengal as Project Coordinator
Prepared Comprehensive District Development Plan for Uttar Dinajpur district, West Bengal
under Rashtriya Sam Vikash Yojana (RSVY) as Project Coordinator

Coordinate project management through efficient fiscal & resource planning, manpower
and infrastructure allocation
Liaison with various government departments, non-government & funding agencies for
