Also called color therapy. Consists of using color to treat physical illnesses and emotional disorders.

It brings together contributions from psychology, medicine, art and physics. The colors have the ability to soothe, inspire, Excite, balance or alter our perceptions, which led to regard them as therapeutic tools for themselves. Each color emits a characteristic vibration which get us in different ways and produce different effects. Chromotherapy uses eight colors are red, Orange, yellow, green, turquoise, blue, violeand magenta. Hippocrates used ointments and oils of different colors and the Arab physician Avicenna, in the 9th century wrote about the properties of the color in the treatment of diseases. Although for a few centuries Chromotherapy was forgotten, in Century XVIII scientists and philosophers were interested in it and in the 20th century it began to be used again for therapeutic purposes. A major contribution was the test of the colour of Lsher, who was studying the influence of colors in different parts of the autonomic nervous system, metabolism, and glandular secretions. The study of the solar spectrum showed that it is composed of an infinite number of bright shades and in 1666 Newton demonstrated that white light could be broken into seven colors that we perceive through the view. One can say that the colors are the visible part of the humans of the solar radiation. Non-visible radiation among the utilities, ultraviolet radiation, infrared rays, rays x, nuclear radiation, etc. Chromotherapy is present in nature. Altitude affects the distribution of color. The black is present while in caves and cellars and infrared, at the level of the sea, in the Savannah and Plains appear red and the Orange; the plateau and the cultivated fields gives yellow, in the hills and gentle mountains, the Green, in the rivers of mountain blue, high mountains and deep sea, Indigo, and violet and the sky white. According to the Chromotherapy, so that adequate food must be taken into account food colors. Food of red, orange and yellow are rejuvenators and exciting; the Greens are balanced the body and serve as a tonic, blue, Indigo and purple are tranquillisers and refreshing. The Red is present in seafood, meat, salt seeds and alcohol. Orange is located in the dairy derivatives, white meat, sugar, honey and olive oil. The yellow contain fish, vegetables, meat of poultry and light oils and maize. The Green is found in cereals, fruits and vegetables. the blue is present in some vegetables and salads and Indigo is located in the infusions and violet in the water and air. A completely white room is perfect for Chromotherapy, as any color can be projected by filling out the room, bathing in the light of the chosen color. You can also use the color desired in a particular area of the

body. Usually apply a daily session of 30 minutes. After 15 days of treatment, effects start to show. The treatment must be applied with minimal clothes or dress with natural fabrics, preferably white silk. Bottles of colors can be used or wrapped in cellophane colored paper. They are filled with water and put in the Sun during 4 hours, then you drink it preferably with an empty stomach and by sips. The practice has been labeled pseudoscientific by its critics, because this medicine doesnt have the requirements to be considered a valid therapy. Who state that the falsifiability and verifiability conditions necessary to deem an experiment valid are not being met, and therefore that it has not been proven that introducing colors is the key element in the healing process which is healing its patients Red: Base of the spine.
