Brief Job Description as Professor & Chairman, Department of Management Sciences (DMS), The Islamia University of Bahawalpur DMS offers the under mentioned academic programs, which are managed by the Chairman. Master of Business Administration (MBA) Master of Science (MS) in Management Executive MBA (EMBA) Bachelor of Business Administration ( BBA) Hons. The Chairman exercises supervisory control over the academic/administrative staff of the department and ensure that they carry on duties entrusted to them properly. The Chairman deals with all academic and administrative activities of the department. He is ex-officio member academic/administrative committees of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Brief Job Description as Professor & Director of Hamdard Institute of Management Sciences, Hamdard University, Karachi. Subject to the provisions of University Statutes, the Director is the Principal Executive Officer of the Institute, responsible for the execution of the policies laid down by the authorities. Annual increments to the academic staff, including permissions to cross the efficiency bar to be granted by the Vice Chancellor on the recommendation of the Director. The Director has the power to incur expenditure provided for in the approved budget of the Institute. He has the power to sanction expenditure up to Rs.25, 000/- within the budget provision and according to Financial Rules of the University. 3

The Director may constitute such committees, including the Selection Committee (for appointment of the staff other than officers and teachers) as may be necessary for the efficient functioning of the Institute subject to the availability of funds in the budget of the Institute. The Director is the appointing authority for staff in pay scales 1 to 4 (total pay scales are 10).
