SOFTWARE DESIGN PRELIMINARY SUMMARY


Instructions: The Preliminary Summary must be submitted as an electronic document which meets the following eight (8) requirements: 1. You or your Team are required to use the Software Design Preliminary Summary Template 2. The Preliminary Summary must be a minimum of 600 characters including spaces. 3. You must provide a name for your project and it must be clearly labeled within the Preliminary Summary 4. The content of the Preliminary Summary must explain how your solution address a cause connected to the Imagine Cup 2012 Theme 5. The Preliminary Summary and file name must be submitted in the English language 6. The Preliminary Summary may include images and diagrams if you feel it better conveys your message but images are not required 7. Your Preliminary Summary must identify any elements of your solution which you plan to use but you did not create yourselves. 8. Please read the copyright information in the Software Design Rules for clarification. 9. The file format must be either a .DOC, .DOCX or .PDF, .RTF or .TXT file. This option does not allow .JPEG submission files.

THE JOBS Background In this modern era, problems of poverty is still the world's problems. According to data were available on the website of the world bank, the average of the poor in every country is still above 15% of the population. This figure is concerned enough, although poverty in most countries in the world had been decrease. The factors that influence poverty in the world is population and employment. Labor problems in this world are still things that need to get more attention. According to data from the World Bank in 2009, the percentage of the labor force in the world at 65% of the world's population and that percentage increase since 2002. Unemployment data later in the year 2004 the world is 6.6% of the total world labor force and 6.3% in 2005. Despite the decline in unemployment in the world, but for some small countries is still high unemployment rate. In an effort to tackle world poverty, we construct a draft application called "The Jobs". What Is The Jobs? "The Jobs" is a web-based application that can be implemented on the desktop, smartphone and mobile phone. These applications implement a job seeker system where the user can find jobs that match your interests and talents, experience, age, and even home user. How The Jobs work? To gain access to the application, the user is required to register by filling out the form provided. After the registration process is complete, users will be faced with two options, namely as a job seeker and job opening. For users to find a job, the user will be required to fill the profile itself, work experience, and following the interest and aptitude tests (for those who use the desktop and smartphone). For users that will open up the jobs, the user must complete the company name and company profiles, and do not forget to fill in the type of work and its description.

After the user fills in all the credentials, the job will be displayed in accordance with the experience, interests and talents, ages and residences user. Features The Jobs - SMS Gateway This feature can be implemented for smartphones and mobile phones that do not support internet access. - Company Location This feature is only accessible by using a smartphone and desktop. This feature will show the location of the company's job opening. This feature-based GPS to connect with bing maps. - Test of Interests and Talents This feature is only accessible by using a smartphone and desktop. The function of this feature so that software can learn user interests and talents in order to get jobs that match your interests and talents.
