LETS GIVE A BUNCH OF SNAPS TO OUR AMOOSING MINIS CONFERENCE STAFF!

Taryn and Cassandra

One of the biggest parts of being in the Residence Hall Association (RHA) at Western New England University is programming whether it is in the halls or for the entire campus. This month, RHA held their annual Dream Date, an event where students auction themselves off for a date in order to raise money for a foundation or particular cause. In past years, RHA has donated to the Shiners, Haiti Relief Fund, and To Write Love On Her Arms. For the first time since this program started, we raised money to be donated to conference philanthropy. Now that Ive explained the event a little, let me describe the MOOSE-tastic people who organized it this year. Taryn Sidney and Cassandra Deal were hard at work for over a month getting everything prepared. The two decided that the money raised at this popular program would be split for both the Mini No-Frills Conference 2012 and Regionals Conference 2012. Taryn and Cassandra booked tables in our Campus Center to get students to auction themselves off. Not only did they have to sign up and pick a dance song, they had to fill out questionnaires that the two girls developed themselves. Through weeks of preparation, the event came as planned on February 10th. After 25 contestants were auctioned off, photos taken and roses sold, RHA raised $1,400 to both philanthropy projects - $700 going to MADD. Without the drive and dedication from Taryn and Cassandra, Dream Date would not have been as successful. These two ladies strove to make this years program bigger and better than past years. Not only were they able to raise more money for an amazing cause, they didnt spend much money on the event no new decorations, no food and yet we had 100 people turn out to purchase their friends! Snaps to Taryn and Cassandra for their tremendous effort in RHA. - Amanda DeCosta

RBD

Isabel Vargas

Thank you for the support and encouragement this entire year. Your Being a first time delegate, Isabel had NO idea what she was passion for the region and love for the RBD truly inspires all of us. getting herself into when she got accepted to the Salem State delEach of you have left a lasting impact on the region and as a team, egation! She thought that she wasn't going to enjoy the we have achieved more than any of us thought possible. Love all of conference...can you imagine?? Isabel ONE HANDEDLY got the you! spirit stick! She proved that she had moose love from the start! Isabel's program "Self-Narrative" was a NEACURH top ten! This was Isabel's first time presenting at a NEACURH conference; she Special Guests wasn't expecting to have a top ten! The weekend of Marty Gras, Thank you for physically supporting the RBD the entire weekend. Isabel Vargas made Salem State proud. From giving Garrett awkward hugs, to playing Sarahs graduation game, each of you truly embraced NEACURH and learned what it means to love a moose. Thank you for trusting us and seeing what Albert Dumont being apart of our family is all about. Remember: YOLO. Albert got NEACURH fever in November 2011 at UCONN's Make a Wish! Ever since, he's loved everything moose! Albert is always encouraging his peer to be the leader that they are. At Marty NCCs You have made your schools proud. You did a PHENOMENAL job in Gras, Albert got the chance to present his program "House Wars" to around 30 people. How amazing! He's definitely grown as a boardroom and I cant say it enough how proud I am of each and leader this year, and is stepping up as NCC next year. I'm defievery one of you! You inspire every member of the RBD to do more nitely proud to say that I brought him to his first conference. <3 and to advocate for YOUR interests! You all are amazing <3

Boardrooms
Thank you for your time and effort during Minis! The countless hours in boardroom discussing awards are a gigantic service to NEACURH. You are what makes the region amazing! Thank you!

Faith Giacobozzi
Faith is an AMOOSING leader. She's always lending a helping hand, especially when things start to become hectic. I'm really glad that I got to know her this year! Thanks for being awesome, Faith!

Stephen
You were the BEST mysterious motivator, and thats not just because you rock a bow-tie. You were such a wonderful support system for when I was bidding, along with being such a great resource throughout the weekend. Even though cheering in not your favorite aspect of conferences, you spirit and passion for NACURH still shined through. Embrace that swagga and matching apparel! :) <3 Jilly I want to thank NEACURH for all of the amazing experiences it has provided me thus far. I could not have been where I am today without the experience of meeting amazing individuals, attending amazing programs, and showing my love for the moose!-Sheraz, RCC Special Projects

Shout out to Griffin Labbance for being a great buddy! Tegan

You have the sweetest soul in all of NACURH. The NSRO is blessed to have someone of your kindness and sincerity in their office. I love all of our memories from photo bombing photos at regional's, to our caterpillar baby at pre-conference. You are apart of this NEACURH family, and hopefully a friend for life. OOH! And Im sure the banana . misses . you as . much as I do! .

We all have someone who got us involved with NEACURH in the first place, that person who pushed you to go a little farther to reach your full potential, that person who saw something in your that you would have never found without them, that person who changed your college experience by encouraging, not showing. As I come to the end of my 4 years at Roger Williams University, and finishing my first year on the Regional Board of Directors, I look back to the first day of it all. It was a day that someone encouraged me to attend a regional conference at Western New England College. Someone who told me that I had potential to make a difference within the halls. Today I'd like to recognize and thank

Dan LaBonte for his effort in taking a risk by putting his faith in me to do well. If not for Dan, I
would have never made the amazing NEACURH and NACURH connections that I have today. NEACURH has been an amazing part of my college experience as many of you can agree. Today I am taking a step back and looking back on what got me started. Although Dan has moved on to a different institution, you can see his commitment to his work through all of the student leaders he has inspired.

Alex Straley
You have been such a support system for the RCCs this year, and we are so proud of everything your going to accomplish as chairperson. You are an amazing leader, mentor and most importantly, person. <3 The NEACURH RCCs
