Mintec’s worldwide organization is setup to provide quick and

reliable answers to your inquiries. We have English, Spanish,
Chinese, Turkish, Greek, Italian, Portuguese, and Russian-
speaking personnel available to discuss your requests.
Approximate Client Location
representing one or more Sites

Mintec has over 300 clients sites worldwide.

Our goal is to provide an easy-to-use tool for you to
access, create, edit, and display your data – everything
from exploration drillholes to pit designs and
reclamation topography. By incorporating a multitude of
CAD (computer-aided design) and other functions, we
believe we have met this goal and more.
Mintec’s engineering staff has provided project assistance to the
mining industry for over 30 years. Our engineers, many of whom
are multi-lingual, specialize in geologic modeling, Geostatistics, pit
optimization, pit design, ore control, and scheduling. Many have
worked with our software for over 15 years.

Below are some of the projects on which we have assisted:

Alamo Dorado Lanna Lignite

Antamina Navachab
Bajo Alumbrera Tenke
Boleo Toquepala
Cuajone Varvarinskoye
Our engineers use MineSight® on hundreds of open pit and underground
projects worldwide. Because our project assistance group relies solely on
our software, we take advantage of this opportunity to continually
enhance the programs to meet their challenges, thus providing a more
powerful and serviceable software for our clients.

The engineering group works closely with the software development

team to design and customize software solutions to meet the specific
program requirements of our clients.
What is MineSight®?

MineSight® is a state-of-the-art, 3-D, comprehensive

geologic modeling and mine planning software system.
MineSight® enables operations to build a project
database containing 3-D representations of drillhole
data, gridded and triangulated surfaces, sectional
geologic interpretations, survey information, 3-D
block model data viewed sections or grade shells,
gridded seam model data, and 3-D geometric objects.
The tools within MineSight® allow the user to
manipulate data to assist in modeling or the planning
process.
Tools include:
 CAD editing of 2-D and 3-D data;
 Interactive design, planning, and scheduling;

 Intersections of solid and surfaces including

volume calculation;
 Scaled plot outputs;
 and others.
MineSight® includes dynamic interactive menus.

This function allows the user to pick the look of the menus and
determine the order in which the options are listed. By setting
options in the order used, training time for new personnel is
reduced.
MineSight® offers robust data viewing options.

Using the 3-D and 2-D viewing functions, data can be turned,
sliced, orbited, rotated, and sectioned. You can adjust the
viewpoint, target, or both, to view your data in any
orientation, all with the click of a mouse.
MineSight® offers interactive data transfer options.

Should you need to transfer your data to or from

another software, MineSight® contains an array of
options for a smooth transfer.
MineSight® is compatible with
Microsoft® Vista, Microsoft®
Windows XP, and Microsoft®
Windows 2000, operating
systems, and requires no special
hardware or software.

controls the use of a single common data set,
accessed by MineSight® users. Every object
has a unique reference identifier and the DSS
controls the checking out (borrowing),
checking in (submitting), and ownership
authority of all data.

The Constraints view lets planners assign precedence rules, e.g.

• Drill before blast before mine

• Mine bench 2600 before bench 2500

Displaying Resource Attributes

• Attribute values can be aggregated for all activities and displayed

in chart form underneath the Planning Board as a function of
time, e.g.

• Weighted average copper grade from all stopes being mined

• Total operating cost of all active trucks

MineSight® Operations

MineSight® Operations is the centerpiece of our strategy for

establishing MineSight® at operating mines.

MineSight® Operations is an ongoing process, since it will

continue to evolve at operating mines as new sources of
information must be linked to it.

Mintec will continue to expand MineSight® Operations through

application at existing sites.
“We needed a tool to integrate all of our daily functionality. It had to
be simple, robust, and predictable. We chose MineSight® Operations.”
