XBRV

A tool of previously unimagined power The world has been repeatedly held in awe by the exponential growth in computing power contained in the seemingly benign 0-1 that is binary code. In the biblical account of the Tower of Babel God shattered the ambitions of an over-reaching humanity by confusing the common language. As of today, utilising the digits 1-9 and 0, language has gone digital and the world once again has a universal language. And right now, you have the first tool to make use of this language in your pocket. Its your cell-phone. Background Primarily, XBRV is a mobile telephone communication tool. It is easily learned on the mobile phone. XBRV is based on the pattern between numbers and letters that is on the telephone keypad but until XBRV has gone unrecognised and consequently remained unavailable for use. As it is already located on the telephone keypad, now that the pattern has been recognised and secured with a patent pending, it is available for use to everyone who has a telephone keypad with the standard alpha-numeric pattern of numbering on the keys. Its primary communications benefits are: o o It can be learned within 30 to 50 hours instead of 12,000 to 15,000 hours typically required to master a single secondary language. Once learnt XBRV provides a universal code that by definition interfaces simultaneously with: All current languages and. All historic languages

It is based in the existing alpha-numeric system of: o o The 26 letters from the Latin alphabet and; The Hindu-Arabic Numerals 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0

Using the existing locations of the 26 letters and the 10 numbers currently found on the modern telephone keypads XBRV creates a digital 10 x 10 Matrix. People, through their mobile-phone keypad and current text messaging are already unconsciously familiar with this hidden pattern. Simply stated, XBRV is a paradigm shift from current communication methods to digital communication. It releases the bottleneck on global development created by current language barriers. If the power of binary code (0-1) can be described as the 20 C parallel to wheel, then st XBRV is the 21 C parallel to the axle. XBRV is the first Pronounceable Digital Code.

The XBRV Paradigm Shift

1. XBRV uses a 10 x 10 Matrix to create an abbreviated speakable international digital code capable of cross language communication for use initially on the mobile telephone. 2. Most importantly it creates a digital language/code that is capable of being spoken as an ordinary language. 3. Because it is digitally constructed instead of having grown organically in time and place, XBRV is a pattern language/code that has no exceptions to the rule. The user will always simply follow the known pattern. 4. XBRV assigns every word with a similar meaning in each language to the same numeric identity. By using numbers all communications are rendered culturally neutral. This therefore enables cross-cultural communication in ways and methods that are simply not available to current culturally embedded languages. 5. Common words are assigned the shortest digital coding based on frequency. 6. XBRV overcomes the problems of pictogram (picture-based) languages like Mandarin, Korean and Japanese. 7. It reduces the number of keystrokes needed for written communication (formalizing text languages). XBRV additionally eliminates spelling mistakes, irregular word usage, and the singular-plural rule and also has no word order rules. 8. It also completely eliminates the need for the current 26-letter computer keyboard for data entry. The current computer keyboard becomes redundant for universal communication and is replaced by ten numbers or ten movements for data input. Data input and retrieval is possible in many new innovative ways. It is possible using XBRV to input data just from 10 finger placement locations, thus eliminating the need for any type of physical keypad. 9. As XBRV uses only 10 different movement positions or 10 keystrokes for full communication it opens up unlimited communication for all disabled persons, even the profoundly disabled. XBRV can always be communicated under any circumstances even if only one movement or sound is possible. 10. XBRV creates new economic benefits and new commercial applications by making language digital. It is, for the first time, integrating languages into the digital mobile culture.

Revealing the Hidden Pattern on the Telephone Keypad to create a Method of Communicating Ten Numbers from the telephone keypad are arranged 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0, down the page, and Ten Numbers from the telephone keypad are arranged 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 across a page. This creates a 100-space configuration (a 10 x10 Matrix) containing 100 two numbered pairs. For example, the first space is where the 1 on the vertical range intersects with the 1 on the horizontal range this is 1-1. 1 on the vertical range and 2 on the horizontal range is 1-2 and so on 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 10, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 20, .. 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 90,

Located on same Matrix Grid space as the 100 two numbered pairs is placed either a letter or letter number. This follows and extends the pattern already in existence on the telephone keypad This creates this type of configuration:

21, a

22, b

23, c

24, a4

25, b5

26, c6

27, a7

28, b8

29, c9

20, 20

Any number and/or letter and/or any alphanumeric letter number (code bit) occupying the same two number pair space on the Matrix is interchangeable. In other words from the above we are able to know that 21 = a, and a=21. See the full Matrix at the end of this document. The Conceptual Functioning of XBRV Matrix

The word "world" is abbreviated in XBRV to "w" which is communicated numerically as: 91. 9 = w, x, y, z on the mobile phone keypad 1= tells us the letter to use is the first letter from this range W Linguistically it is essential to also know how the word is being used is it a noun, verb, adjective etc. To provide this information a numeric prefix is included. Since we are using "world" as a noun it gets a coding of 1- so it becomes 1-91. It can be pronounced alphanumerically as un-w or numero-phonetically as un-ni-un.

After the first word type identifier - numbers are always pronounced using the Matrixs two number repeating pattern - unless the last number is a single digit. See the bottom line of Matrix for single digits which stand alone as the first letter in a word or a stand alone digit because there is no two numbered pairing available at the end of the word. Example 3-34-7

In all languages with the word "world" as a noun now has the same phone keypad formats that can be written digitally (1-91), spoken or written numero-phonetically (un-ni) or spoken or written alphanumerically (un-w). The digital option is particularly attractive as it is now completely culturally independent of the originating language. It is estimated that basic cross language communication is available within 30 hours using an 850-word 3-digit vocabulary. Understanding the Matrix Grid The above example is on a single dimension that is to say simply working with the numbers 1-9 and 0. The heart of XBRV is the Matrix Grid and the fact that we can massively increase the power of the tool by working on two axes a horizontal as well as a vertical dimension. By referring to the Matrix grid you will see that the use of numbers in a purely numeric sense is self-explanatory. 1 = 1 and 1 down and 1 across = 11 (eleven), 1 down and 2 across equals 12 (twelve) and 2 down and 1 across equals 21 (twenty-one). The 10x10 grid gives XBRV a complete 100 two number pair numeric range. This undiscovered pattern remains the same when we introduce the alpha (lettering) component. The first letter A is 2-down, 1 across in other words in the first position of the three letters available on the telephone keypad number 2. The second B is 2 down thats the key and 2 across in other words is in the SECOND position on that key. The letter C is 2 down thats the key and three across in the THIRD position on that key. Now we can instantly know that 21 = A, 22 = B and 23 = C Key Point: The sequencing is ALWAYS DOWN and THEN across. 74 is 7 down and 4 across and = S look on your phone keypad and see its right there too!! In the above we have seen that we can fit the entire alphabet a linguistic representation of sounds on a grid with 10 places down 1 to 0, and 4 positions across just as it is on your phone keypad. But the grid allows 10 places across as well as 10 places down. This means that the grid enables some additional sounds in communications. To understand how this works step through the following example: 3 down on the grid = d, e or f on your key pad 3 down and 1 across (31) = d, 3 down 2 across (32) = e and 3 down 3 across (33) = f 3 down 4 across (34) starts a new extended cycle and = d BUT NOW we also added a number linked to the letter. We now have an ALPHANUMERIC linguistic identity that is d4. This ALPHANUMERIC d4 is pronounced as d-ur because XBRV shortens the sounds of all ten numbers as follows: 1 2 3 un to re

Lets try it out using as an example the word Banal 3 = Adjective 25 = b5 (2 down, 5 across on the grid) 6 = Single stand alone last digit Expressed numerically: 3256 or

3-its word type, 25- an alphanumeric sound, and 6- as stand alone digit because the next two numbers are not a two-numbered pair. Expressed as script: 3b56 re-b-iv-sa

Expressed phonetically:

Suddenly we have a language/code that can be written and spoken that is independent of all existing languages and is digital. Basic Vocabulary This is minimum words need for functional communication. For example: Socio-Culturally Unique English Other Language Hat House Banana XXXXX XXXXX XXXXX Socio-Culturally Universal Alpha-numeric Numeric (spoken) 1h5 145 1h8 148 1b5 125

Similar language words are assigned a numeric code; the numeric code in turn creates a culturally neutral and therefore acceptable common pronunciation for those meanings. Although the originators of XBRV are English speaking and therefore working from English in the first instance, once established with the 850 words, any language can be expanded and XBRV currently has a 90,000-word vocabulary. For example someone wants to know the numeric of the noun fish and only speaks Mandarin. This person goes into the online dictionary, looks up fish in Mandarin and learns the numeric equivalent for fish in Mandarin. This automatically creates its phonetic form. If an English person and a French speaking person need to communicate with a Mandarin speaking person the word fish, they simply look up the word fish in the online dictionary and are given the numeric definition and numero-phonetic pronunciation and suddenly all three languages are working in the same communications currency. The fact that fish is pronounced and spelt FISH in English, something different in French and a third way in Mandarin becomes redundant for all three it is 136 or Un-f-6 if spoken.

These numeric symbols also double task as to - word type, - pronounceable alphanumeric and numeric equivalents. The first 850 words-symbol root words have the shortest three number lengths. After a short while using XBRV 191 becomes the noun "world" and by following an easily learned pattern from the Matrix it becomes pronounceable alphanumerically as un-w or numero-phonetically as un-ni-un.

XBRVs Development Status to Date Currently, XBRV has broken down the English language into all of its parts. We have a wordlist of 90,000 plus words which are English words reduced to the building blocks (parts) of each word. We have located 13,000 plus root words. Using Princeton's WorldNet XBRV intends to place as many languages as possible into the database and code all non-closed words as noun, verb, adjective or adverb. XBRV currently has all the depth of the current English language We have created our own 850-word starter vocabulary for basic communication. XBRV is the first a stand-alone digital language/code. XBRV allows total written and spoken communication in very short numbers. It is only a matter of seeing the number - as still a basic number - but also as a pronounceable word. XBRV is a method patent based on the Keypads hidden unused pattern. The Patent Process for this project is currently at the development stage of Patent Pending. There is no prior art to this project. XBRV is not aware of anyone else working in this area. Listed Ventures Ltd
