This chapter would present the project design, project development, its operation and testing procedure as well as the evaluation procedures. Types of research Basic research is a research that is applied, accessing and using some part of the research communities' accumulated theories, knowledge, methods, and techniques, for a specific, often state, commercial, or client driven purpose. Project development would involve constant framework of tasks and deliverables needed to develop the system. The system will utilize the most commonly used approach of system development life cycle in the development of the project. Life cycle tracks a project from an idea that will developed by the proponents, through Identifying Problems Opportunities and Objectives, requirement definition, design phase, development, pilot testing, and implementation and evaluation. Software development stages, as shown in
Figure 4.0, will present the sequence of activities for project development
Figure 7.0 Systems Development Life Cycle Identifying Problems, Opportunities and Objectives In this stage, the scope of the problem and how to go about the entire system development will be identified. The current manual system will be evaluated and deficiencies will be determined. Timelines and schedules will be set. Moreover, project deliverables and goals will be made. Key outputs will be the project plan and preliminary needs analysis report. Determining Information Requirements The new system requirements will be defined. In particular, the deficiencies in the current manual system will be addressed with specific proposals for improvement. In this stage, problem encountered in the manual process will be identified to determine the requirements needed in the development of the proposed study. Designing the Recommended System Once that the system requirements are gathered and analyzed, the systems interface
will be designed in conjunction with its system flow chart that can be used by IT professionals. The design of the system will describe the desired features and operations in detail, including screen layouts, process diagrams and other documentations. Furthermore, an initial design of data flow will be created. The initial design will offer the admin to review and correct whatever needs to be corrected and add on to the existing requirements before finalizing the system design and start the development of the system. Developing and Documenting Software
Testing of the System Testing and evaluation of the system will be done after the development of the system. Testing of the Scheduling System will be performed to make sure that the system will provide accurate and efficient output. During this stage.
