Having gone through the tender document for the aforesaid making and supply of Registered Office Address and Branch Timings Display Metal Plates, we offer and undertake making and supply of above metal plates in conformity with your requirements and the terms and conditions set for the same. 2. We agree to abide by this tender for the period up to March 31, 2010 from the date of opening of the tender or for agreed extended period and it shall remain binding on us. 3. Annexure-II Pre-qualification criteria & General Terms and Conditions for Making and Supply of Registered Office Address and Branch Timings Display Metal Plates (i) The supplier/manufacturer should have integrated capability for undertaking such jobs of making and supply of metal plates and should have successfully executed such jobs. (ii) (iii) The supplier/manufacturer should have their office in Mumbai. The supplier/manufacturer should deposit interest free Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. Ten Thousand only) in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of IDBI Bank Ltd, payable at Mumbai drawn on any Nationalized/Scheduled bank. EMD should be submitted along with Technical Bid. (iv) The supplier/manufacturer should furnish the Undertaking as per the format given in Annexure-I [including general terms and conditions], duly signed and with company seal affixed (v) (vi) IDBI Bank will decide the final selection of supplier/manufacturer on Technical grounds for being qualified for financial bid. The supplier/manufacturer participating in the bid can be disqualified on Technical grounds or for any other reasons, deemed fit, by IDBI Bank Ltd at its own discretion without assigning any reason whatsoever, in such an event. (vii) Making and Delivery of the metal plates at the branches of IDBI Bank Ltd (As per requirement) will be responsibility of the vendor General Terms & Conditions i. The tenderer should submit along with the Technical Bid, a DD/Pay Order for Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) drawn in favour of IDBI Bank Ltd. payable at Mumbai towards earnest money issued by Nationalized Bank. The technical bid is incomplete without EMD. ii. The (i) Technical Bid along with EMD DD and (ii) Price Bid, duly signed by the authorized representative of the firm, should be sent in SEPARATE SEALED ENVELOPES MARKED SUITABLY

("Technical Bid for making and supply of Registered Office Address and Branch Timings Display Metal Plates and "Price Bid making and supply of Registered Office Address and Branch Timings Display Metal Plates) addressed to Head Network Expansion, IDBI Bank Ltd, IDBI Tower, 13th floor, WTC, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai 400 005 and should be dropped in Tender Box kept on above address on or before 03.00 PM on 02nd January 2009. The Technical Bids will be opened on Wednesday, January 07, 2009 at 12.00 Noon. iii. Only the parties complying with terms under Pre-qualification Criteria and Technical Parameters with EMD shall be considered as qualified for participating in Price Bid. The Price Bid will be opened on some other day with prior intimation to the qualified vendors. iv. v. The accepted price will be valid up to 31st March 2010. The EMD shall not bear any interest. The EMD of the unsuccessful bidders would be refunded only after finalization of the tender or within 60 days from the date of opening of tender, whichever is earlier. vi. The vendors should furnish the PAN and Local sales Tax Registration number. vii. The vendors should deliver the metal plates to the IDBI Bank branches within 10 working days from the date of purchase order. viii. Quantity indicated is an estimate and may undergo change and no additional charges will be paid on account of scale effect. ix. Any delay in delivery or failure to supply of metal plates to IDBI Bank branches, as per agreed technical quality and specifications would entitle the IDBI Bank to invoke penalty clause or even cancel the whole/part of the order. In the event of cancellation of the order, IDBI Bank shall not be liable to pay any amount, including, the cost incurred by the bidder/vendor to execute the

job and the bidder shall not be entitled to recover from IDBI Bank any amount by way of damages, loss or otherwise for such cancellation of the order but at the same time the IDBI Bank shall be entitled to recover the loss, which it may incur on account of the non-delivery/short delivery/late delivery. x. xi. No advance shall be paid for the work/purchase order placed. The purchase order issued to the successful bidder would need to be accepted within 2 days from the date of issue of work order. The metal plates should be delivered within 10 working days from date of receipt of purchase order. Failure to accept and execute the purchase/work order will result in forfeiture of the EMD. xii. The penalty for delay in completion of job, entire or part thereof, will be Rs.50/- per day subject to a ceiling of 5% of the contract value. xiii. No cost will be paid for the metal plates with defects or received in damaged/mutilated condition. Decision of IDBI Bank in this regard will be final. Payment will be made on providing proof of delivery. xiv. Applicable taxes would be deducted at source and TDS certificate will be issued. xv. No escalation in cost of the metal plates on any account for whatever reasons will be permitted. xvi. Conditional quotations will not be accepted and will be summarily rejected. xvii. The Bank reserves the right to reject the lowest or all other offers without assigning any reason. xviii. xix. IDBI Bank has right to split the order or combine the order. The tender acceptance letter will be issued in duplicate to the successful bidder, which should be returned by confirming the acceptance on the duplicate within 2 days from the date of issue.

xx.

The Bank reserves the right to reject any or all tenders and Banks decision in the matter will be final.

xxi.

In case of disputes, the same shall be referred to Head Network Expansion Department PBG, IDBI Bank Ltd, IDBI Tower, 13th Floor, WTC, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai 400 005, the decision by the IDBI Bank shall be final and binding to the bidders and participants.

xxii.

The rates shall be written in both figures and words. If rates are not quoted in words and the tender is found to be shabby and large variations in totaling, it may be rejected as not valid at the discretion of Head Network Expansion Department PBG, IDBI Bank Ltd

xxiii.

Tenders shall be signed wherever provided for as well as all pages of tender documents.

xxiv.

All taxes and levies, shall be deducted at source as per current tax rate while making any payment.

xxv.

IDBI does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender and reserves the right to reject all or any bid or cancel the Tender without assigning any reason whatsoever. IDBI also reserves the right to re-issue the Tender without the vendors having the right to object against such re-issue.

xxvi.

Conditional tenders which stipulate conditions contrary to the conditions given in the tender document, are liable for rejection.

xxvii.

The selected supplier/manufacturer would be required to provide certificate that all the metal plates have been supplied as per specification and that overall quality and performance of the plates is as per IDBI Bank's requirement.

xxviii.

No order or billing payment on any other sister concern/ associate company would be released by IDBI.

xxix.

The vendor shall (whether or not they respond to this tender notice) treat the details of the documents as secret and confidential.

xxx.

Supplier/manufacturer will not be eligible for scale effect increase in per metal plate rate on account of decrease in number of plates required in total cost of assignment.

xxxi.

The supplier/manufacturer who participate/going to participate in the tender should clearly state that they have read the above terms and conditions and accept the same.

TECHNICAL PARAMETERS: -

Manufacturing Process for Stainless Steel Menu Plate and Timing Plate: Stainless steel material of 304 grade 1.2 mm thick and having size 9 (width) X 12 (length) duly polished, decreasing done (removing of oil and dirt), the matter to be printed on the plate and to be chemically engraved (etched). The plate to be painted and baked in oven and to be lacquered and again baked for stoving effect.
