The design of the EVEREST communicates a very commanding road presence, while adding a touch of class with beautifully moulded lines and splashes of chrome. From its bulging, accentuated bonnet and colour coded body side cladding*, to the chrome headlamps that wrap over the hood, every detail of the EVEREST tells you that this SUV means business.

Space and Comfort

Safety
The EVEREST offers some of the most extensive safety features in its class. An extremely strong body construction with side impact beams ensure enhanced all-round protection. Dual front and side impact airbags both keep the driver and front seat passenger safe in the event of a collision. For control and handling, the EVEREST has both ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), both keep the vehicle on the road and come into play should you need to make an emergency stop. In addition there are G-sensors that sense how quickly the driver is decelerating, and works in conjunction with ABS and EBD. Not only will the brake pressure be applied to the wheels that require it, but the sensor will also assist to determine how quickly the vehicle needs to decelerate to provide a greater braking ability when needed.

The space and comfort inside the EVEREST is in direct contrast to the harsh terrain it is capable of navigating. The EVEREST offers you everything from the comfort of leather seats and seating for up to 7 with generous leg room, to Auxiliary inputs jacks for your iPod and a MP3 compatible 6 CD front loader with 6 speakers*, making every journey, no matter where you go, as comfortable as possible. With innovative stowage spaces, plush camel interior and a high-end instrument panel, the EVEREST ensures that the lap on luxury is the only place youll be sitting on wherever your journey takes you. The tailgate door swings open sideways and not up, providing easier access to rear seat or luggage. Double folding 2nd row and removable rear seats provide loads more space for tackling those oversized holiday bags and gear, or the family dog.

Style meets Power

The EVEREST is powered by a 3-litre Duratorq TDCi engine, delivering 115kW of power at 3200rpm and 380Nm torque at just 1800rpm to give you the true 4x4 experience and all the terrain-conquering torque you need. Transmission comes in the form of a slick 5-speed automatic box, and for those who want a more engaging drive; a 5-speed manual transmission is on offer as well. The new 5-speed automatic transmission is truly remarkable, it effortlessly transfers power to the wheels but at the same time, ensures that the transfer of power is as efficient and economic as can be so that not a drop of fuel is wasted.

Take it off-road
The EVEREST comes packed with technology that makes it one of the most capable SUVs off-road. Both the 4x2 and 4x4 derivatives have high ground clearance, a high trail suspension and standard Limited Slip Diff (LSD), while wider side impact beams gives the EVEREST better weight distribution and stability on the ground. Shift-On-The-Fly is available on the Limited model. This allows you to switch between different off-road modes through turning a simple rotary switch which engages the electromagnetic clutch to change accordingly.

Service Plan Standard on every EVEREST, is a 5yr/90 000km Service Plan which covers all the scheduled servicing stipulated in the owners handbook. This includes lubricants, filters and labour but excludes friction materials such as brake pads and wiper blades. Exact coverage of these plans may vary from model to model so please consult your vehicle handbook or ask your Ford Dealer for further information. Options and extensions on your service plan are also available. Roadside Assistance Coverage - 3yr/unlimited km - on all new Ford vehicles (passenger and light commercial vehicles). Who wants to be stranded next to the road or even at home? In case the unfortunate does happen, FordProtect Roadside Assistance ensures that you will be fully supported for any mechanical or electrical problems, flat tyres or batteries and medical emergencies. If necessary, towing will be arranged to the closest Ford approved dealer. New Vehicle Extended Warranties To ensure that you can cover your vehicle against unforeseen mechanical or electrical breakdowns after the standard Ford 4yr/120 000km warranty expires, you can now purchase an extended warranty anytime within the manufacturers warranty. This will give you the same cover for an additional period of 2yrs/80 000km for total coverage of 6yrs/200 000km.
