Automatic Transmission Fluid Conversion Chart

Convert Dexron III/Mercon into Highly Friction Modified or Mercon V ATF for specified fluids See Product Fact Sheets for Description, Features & Benefits and Directions Check owners manual or dipstick for proper fluid type

Directions for using chart:

1. In your Transmission Specification Guide, find the vehicle year, make and model. Note the transmissions capacity in quarts and the manufacturers specified fluid. 2. If the manufacturer specifies AF2, AF3 or MA, apply your bulk Dexron III/Mercon fluid with no modifying supplement. 3. If the manufacturer specifies any other fluid, refer to this chart to determine if the Dexron III/Mercon fluid can be modified with either the gray bottle of Highly Friction Modified ATF Supplement (EA 61) or the blue bottle of M-V ATF Supplement (EA 62). Note Exceptions. 4. If the fluid is not listed on this chart or is listed as an Exception, you must apply the OE fluid. 5. When modifying fluid, apply one (1) 10 oz. bottle of the proper ATF Supplement for up to 11 quart capacity. For capacities greater than 11 quarts, add one (1) additional ounce of ATF Supplement for each quart of capacity greater than 11 quarts. Always add modifiers to the vehicle, not the flush machines new fluid tank.
