Research Intergroup Dialogue programs nationwide and implement innovative content to improve and build upon the highly regarded Intergroup Dialogue program at New York University. Serve as a resource to students by aiding in the search for diversity initiatives around New York City. Ensure that diversity education is both highlighted and incorporated in the Student Affairs Conference at NYU by serving on the conference planning committee.
The Ohio State University Mount Leadership Society Scholars, Columbus, OH Student Coordinator for the 2nd Year Experience June 2008 July 2009 Designed marketing initiatives and publications to recruit prospective students and donors. Maintained consistent communication with stakeholders at Ohio State and the Mount Leadership Society. Advised all second year students during their year-long community service projects that focused on critical social justice issues. Coordinated leadership retreats to enhance students understanding of major leadership ideas and concepts. Established a 10 session Citizenship and guest lecturer series that focused on social justice issues such as poverty, hunger, public health, homelessness, and environmental concerns. Organized first-year summer orientation to transition incoming students from high school to college. Founded and coordinated an All-Scholars intramural league to promote the enhancement of physical and mental health for all 15 scholar organizations at The Ohio State University. Coordinated Launch Week that fostered community amongst incoming first-year students. Served as primary advisor for the Member Development Committee to foster community beyond the first week of the academic school year. Coordinated major scholar events such as winter formal, awards ceremonies, and community service.
