The role of the Canteen

The aim of our school canteen is to:

Help With Filling and sorting lunch orders Preparing necessary items for recess and lunch Preparing sandwiches & heating food Serving the children at recess and lunchtime Placing lunches in the class baskets Washing up whenever it is needed Assisting the Canteen Supervisor with other related tasks.

Provide a variety of nutritious food at reasonable prices Educate the school community in sound eating habits Assist the P & C Committees fundraising efforts with profits made from the canteen. Therefore all money made goes back into supplying resources for your children. Provide an opportunity for parents to meet one another and be involved in their childs school.

The canteen operates from 8:30am to 2:00pm every day. Most volunteers work one or two shifts per month. Remember ...many hands make light work

The canteen is a P & C run Canteen which has a permanent part-time Canteen Supervisor and a team of friendly volunteers. Volunteers are needed to help keep the canteen open, prepare food and assist with serving at recess and lunchtime.
