Welcome to McAfee Change Control 5.1! This README document describes the installation instructions for the following deployment configurations: Deployment based on McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)

Deployment based on McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)

This deployment configuration comprises the following component: McAfee Solidcore Extension for McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (version 4.0 and version 4.5)

Step 1: Obtain licenses

The following components are licensed components: McAfee Solidcore Extension for McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Please ensure that you have obtained the required license and have it readily available.

Step 2: Install McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator

If not already installed, please install McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator version 4.0 or version 4.5. Contact McAfee Support for purchasing and installing McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator.

Step 3: Download Change Control Software Kits

Download the following software kits from McAfee Product Download website:

McAfee Change Control 5.1 Installation Instructions

Step 4: Expand Documentation Kit

Expand the downloaded McAfee_CC_5.1_documents_ePO-extension_EN.zip (choose your language) file in your machine to install the McAfee Solidcore Extension for McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator documentation.

Step 5: Check in Components in ePO

Locate the following documents in the documentation folder: Release Notes for McAfee Solidcore Extension 5.1 (Release_Notes.html) McAfee Solidcore Extension Installation Guide 5.1 - For use with ePO 4.0 and 4.5 (MFE_SO_EX_WIN_IG_5_1.pdf) Read the above documents carefully and follow the instructions in the installation guide to check in the following software kits in ePO: Solidcore_5.1.0.zip SOLIDCOR510-6824_WIN.zip SOLIDCOR510-6823_LNX.zip SOLIDCOR510-6823_SLR.zip SOLIDCOR510-6823_HPX.zip SOLIDCOR510-6823_AIX.zip

Step 6: Start Monitoring!

Locate the following documents in the documentation folder: McAfee Change Control Evaluation Guide - For use with ePO 4.0 and 4.5 (MFE_CHANGE_CON_WIN_EVAL_5_1.pdf) McAfee Integrity Monitor Evaluation Guide - For use with ePO 4.0 and 4.5 (MFE_INT_MON_WIN_EVAL_5_1.pdf) McAfee Solidcore Extension Product Guide - For use with ePO 4.0 and 4.5 (MFE_SO_EX_WIN_PG_5_1.pdf) Follow the instructions in these documents to start monitoring!
