I also urge you to seek feedback from your classmates outside ofas well as duringclass on your drafts during the revision process. AUDIENCE: Your audience is composed of readers who are familiar with both texts; therefore, excessive summary is unnecessary. Your voice should be an academic one, and for this essay, use the 3rd person rather than the 1st person to express your opinion. Your goal is to come across as reasonable, even-handed, and well-informed. TERMS: An important key to your essay is the use of our unit terminology. We discussed these terms thoroughly and you should feel comfortable using them in your writing. These will instantly increase the formality and credibility of your essay, but they must be used correctly. STRUCTURING YOUR ARGUMENT: For this essay, you should follow the writing model on the reverse of this assignment sheet. The introduction and conclusion formatting is non-negotiable. However, all body paragraphs should have the elements of claim quote comment, but the number of statements and specific organization of the pattern can be modified.
