Blessed Assurance, Jesus Is Mine
Verse 1
Blessed assurance, Jesus is Mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvaon, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
Chorus
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long,
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
Verse 2
Perfect submission, perfect delight!
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight,
Angels descending bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
Verse 3
Perfect submission all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest;
Watching and waing, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.
(Repeat chorus)

GENESIS 29:16-32 (THE MESSAGE)
16-18
Now Laban had two daughters; Leah was the
older and Rachel the younger. Leah had nice eyes, but
Rachel was stunningly beauful. And it was Rachel that
Jacob loved. So Jacob answered, "I will work for you
seven years for your younger daughter Rachel."
19
"It is
far beer," said Laban, "that I give her to you than marry
her to some outsider. Yes. Stay here with me."
20
So Jacob worked seven years for Rachel. But it only
seemed like a few days, he loved her so much.
21-24
Then
Jacob said to Laban, "Give me my wife; I've completed
what we agreed I'd do. I'm ready to consummate my
marriage." Laban invited everyone around and threw a
big feast. At evening, though, he got his daughter Leah
and brought her to the marriage bed, and Jacob slept
with her. (Laban gave his maid Zilpah to his daughter
Leah as her maid.)
25
Morning came: There was Leah in
the marriage bed! Jacob confronted Laban, "What have
you done to me? Didn't I work all this me for the hand
of Rachel? Why did you cheat me?"
26-27
"We don't do it that way in our country," said
Laban. "We don't marry o the younger daughter
before the older. Enjoy your week of honeymoon, and
then we'll give you the other one also. But it will cost you
another seven years of work."
28-30
Jacob agreed. When
he'd completed the honeymoon week, Laban gave him
his daughter Rachel to be his wife. (Laban gave his maid
Bilhah to his daughter Rachel as her maid.) Jacob then
slept with her. And he loved Rachel more than Leah. He
worked for Laban another seven years.
31-32
When GOD
realized that Leah was unloved, he opened her womb.
But Rachel was barren. Leah became pregnant and had
a son. She named him Reuben (Look-It's-a-Boy!). "This
is a sign," she said, "that GOD has seen my misery; and
a sign that now my husband will love me."
7:30 A.M. AND 6:00 P.M.
JOHN 6:48-51 (NIV)
48
I am the bread of life.
49
Your forefathers ate the manna
in the desert, yet they died.
50
But here is the bread that
comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and
not die.
51
I am the living bread that came down from
heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever.
This bread is my esh, which I will give for the life of the
world.
JOHN 6:48-51 (THE MESSAGE)
48-51
"I am the Bread of Life. Your ancestors ate the manna
bread in the desert and died. But now here is Bread that
truly comes down out of heaven. Anyone eang this
Bread will not die, ever. I am the Breadliving Bread!
who came down out of heaven. Anyone who eats this
Bread will liveand forever! The Bread that I present to
the world so that it can eat and live is myself, this esh-
and-blood self."
JOHN 6:48-51 (NRSV)
48
I am the bread of life. 49Your ancestors ate the manna
in the wilderness, and they died.
50
This is the bread that
comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and
not die.
51
I am the living bread that came down from
heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live for ever;
and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is
my esh.

We are calling for a period of prayer and fasng for the enre church during the Season of Lent, Ash Wednesday,
February 22nd through Resurrecon Sunday April 8, 2012.
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil and aer fasng forty days and
forty nights, he was hungry. And the tempter came and said to him, If you are the Son of God, command these
stones to become loaves of bread. Mahew 4:1-3
Fasng has been used throughout the ages to prepare the people of God for the great things God has in store
for them. As we pray through this season of transion and Divine imaginaon, I am calling, I am asking, I am
requesng the enre church become involved in some form of prayer and fasng. The following are several types
of fasts that can be used to develop spiritual power and clarity.
Fast #1 - Fasng to confront destrucve forces
February 22-February 28 Eat all your meals before 6:00 p.m.
February 29 March 6 Eat only 2 meals before 6:00 p.m.
March 7 - March 13 Eat only 1 meal a day
March 14 March 20 Drink only juices, water and or tea
March 21 March 27 Eat only fruits and vegetables before 6:00 p.m.
March 28 April 8 Slowly begin to add meat to your diet
Fast #2 The Daniel Fast. Taken from the book of Daniel. When the Babylonians captured Daniel, he asked of the
Babylonians if he along with Shadrach, Meschah and Abendego, could fast eang only fruits and vegetables so they
would be prepared to confront the Babylonian king.
February 22-February 28 All meals before 6:00 p.m.
February 29 March 6 Eat only two meals a day before 6:00 p.m.
March 7 - March 13 Eat only fruits & vegetables before 6:00 p.m.
March 14 March 20 Eat one meal a day before 6:00 p.m., meat may be added.
March 21 March 27 Eat two meals a day before 6:00 p.m., meat may be added
March 28 April 8 Eat three meals a day before 6:00 p.m.
Fast #3 - Removing certain foods or items from your diet or life
One type of fasng is to remove certain foods from your diet, such as, fried foods, sweets, sodas or rened
sugar and/or our.
Please seek the advice of your primary care provider/doctor before beginning a fast that involves restricng food/
calories and/or medicaon. They can help you design a fasng plan that protects your health and well-being. This
is extremely important if you are pregnant or anyone that has a medical condion. Examples include, but are
not limited to, those who have a chronic disease such as diabetes, HIV/AIDS, hypertension, heart disease, cancer,
inammatory bowel disease, recent surgery, etc.

JESUS AS TEACHER THE HIGHEST QUALIFICATIONS
It is great to learn from a master. Whether it be carpentry or cooking, piano playing or business
administraon, there is nothing like learning from someone with a good background of
experience. Such people have gained praccal wisdom. They have learned what works and
what doesnt work.
Jesus was oen called Master. Living what he taught, he had high qualicaons. Evidently,
this was obvious to people, because they ocked out to hear him. The disciples, Jesus inner
group, gradually came to realize that Jesus qualicaons went even beyond praccal wisdom.
One me he asked them, Who do people say that I am? Peter answered: You are the Christ.
(Mark 8:27-29) Jesus was a supreme teacher, because his knowledge came directly from the
One who set our lives in order.
We all have the privilege of learning from the very best. We learn by both listening and doing.
We are present day disciples. The old values we found in shing or in any day-to-day acvity are
not the sum total of our life possibilies. They are essenal to keeping body and soul together,
but each of us has inner spiritual potenal that can enrich both our own lives and the life of the
world around us.
We learn from our Master Teacher in two ways. The scriptural account of Jesus life and teaching
helps us to understand what is of highest worth. For example, he draws a contrast between
the arrogant show of rich men, who put large gis into the temple treasury, and the hearelt
generosity of a poor widow, who gave only a couple of copper coins. Jesus saw in her gi a
greater value than all the others put together. (Mark 12:41-44) Jesus revealed lifes highest
values.
When we are open to it, we also learn by having Jesus living presence within us. The resurrecon
is a connuing, every day event, as we sense Christs Spirit as a guiding presence within.

Walking, Talking and Living Our Faith, Ephesians 4 (NLT)
January Ephesians 4:1
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg
you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you
have been called by God.
February Ephesians 4:2
Always be humble and gentle. Be paent with
each other, making allowance for each others
faults because of your love.
March Ephesians 4:3
Make every eort to keep yourselves united
in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with
peace.
April Ephesians 4:4
For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you
have been called to one glorious hope for the
future.
May Ephesians 4:5-6
There is one Lord, one faith, one bapsm, and
one God and Father, who is over all and in all
and living through all.
June Ephesians 4:7
However, he has given each one of us a special
gi through the generosity of Christ.
July Ephesians 4:11
Now these are the gis Christ gave to the
church: the apostles, the prophets, the
evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.
August Ephesians 4:12
Their responsibility is to equip Gods people to
do his work and build up the church, the body of
Christ.
September Ephesians 4:13
This will connue unl we all come to such unity
in our faith and knowledge of Gods Son that we
will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the
full and complete standard of Christ.
October Ephesians 4:14
Then we will no longer be immature like
children. We wont be tossed and blown about
by every wind of new teaching. We will not be
inuenced when people try to trick us with lies
so clever they sound like the truth.
November Ephesians 4:15-16
Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing
in every way more and more like Christ, who is
the head of his body, the church. He makes the
whole body t together perfectly. As each part
does its own special work, it helps the other
parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy
and growing and full of love.
December Ephesians 31-32
Get rid of all bierness, rage, anger, harsh
words, and slander, as well as all types of
evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as
God through Christ has forgiven you.
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be at your back.
May the sunlight of Jesus Christ grace your cheek,
And may rain gently fall upon your eld.
May God keep you in the hollow
of Gods Hand unl we meet again.
Go in peace.
