Overview and Purpose: Students will learn about the PGVP program and how it affects quarterly reporting at their site. PGVP is effective as of September 2011 and is an ongoing program.

Objectives: Define the four components of the Protocol Gas Verification Program that need to be entered in CeDAR and breez75X software (Knowledge Level). Identify gas type codes for protocol gases used at your site (Comprehension Level). Identify approved EPA protocol gas vendors so that you can enter the information and order gases appropriately (Comprehension Level). Differentiate between Protocol gases at your facility that are subject to PGVP and protocol gases at your facility that are not subject to PGVP (Analysis Level). Decide when to enter PGVP values into CeDAR and when to enter PGVP values into breez75X software (Evaluation Level). Develop a plan to enter PGVP information into CeDAR (Synthesis Level). Complete the entry of gas type codes, vendor Id's, cylinder numbers, and expiration dates into CeDAR or breez75x software. (Application Level) Decide how you will manage gas bottles at your facility (Evaluation Level).

Step-By-Step Procedures: 1. Instruct students to use the ipad to connect to the CiSCO CEMS website and view the four online lessons on PGVP. 2. Have students use gas certification sheets and link to the ECMPS Reporting Requirements document via the iPad to determine gas type codes. for their facility. 3. Instruct students to use the gas certification sheets and link to 2012 Emission PGVP Participants and Vendor IDs to determine vendor Ids. 4. Instruct students to refer to PGVP FAQ section on CiSCO CEMS website to troubleshoot data entry issues. Assessment Based On Objectives: The main assessment for learning the objectives identified in this lesson is an error free quarterly report containing the PGVP information that has been submitted to the EPA. The EPA submitting software contains various checks for PGVP data including missing PGVP information or PGVP information that has not been correctly formatted. Additionally, if technicians have not learned how to correctly enter information in to CeDAR and breez75X software, this will be an ongoing problem. Follow-up Activity: Hold a follow-up conference call to discuss any outstanding issues , generate discussion, and brainstorm ways on how to implement procedures to enter PGVP

information and how to track and manage bottle inventory. Document outstanding questions on PGVP FAQ section of CiSCO CEMS website.
