Influences on My Ministry the Past 40 Yeays

When my mother was pregnant with me, 85-year old Smith Wigglesworth laid his hand on her and prophesied she would "give birth to a prophet to the nations." I weighed 2 pounds when I was born. I nearly died of 8 major diseases before I was 2 years old. I attended 84 schools in 49 states as the son of a traveling evangelist. Ricky traveled with us for years, Phil was saved under our ministry, Billy Preston played and sang for our ministry in California, and Gene Martin is a life-long friend. However, this years vote was unanimous. No one is more deserving of the honor than Bishop Alan Mushegan, vocalist on many albums. He is known mostly for his powerful "Gospel-Harvester" church in Atlanta, his television ministry, and his stand for integrity in the ministry. But those of us who know him, recognize his anointed God-given singing voice. He has recorded many times in Nashville, and just finished a project with the Judds. He is the only man I know who can make you worship, laugh, praise, search your soul, weep for souls, and "sing you under conviction" all at the same time. Our prayers are with you, Bishop.
