SPECIAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING OF THE CAPIZ SMALL COCONUT FARMERS MARKETING COOPERATIVE (CASCOFAMCO) HELD LAST NOVEMBER 21, 2011 AT ONDOY, IVISAN, CAPIZ. Present: 1. BOARD OF DIRECTORS RESOLUTION NO. 015 SERIES OF 2011 A RESOLUTION SIGNIFYING ITS INTENTION AND INTEREST TO ACCEPT AND BECOME A PROPONENT OF THE UPGRADING OF THE INTEGRATED COCONUT PROCESSING PROJECT OF CASCOFAMCO UNDER THE AGRARIAN REFORM COMMUNITY CONNECTIVITY AND ECONOMIC SUPPORT SERVICES (ARCCESS). WHEREAS, the Agrarian Reform Communities Connectivity and Economic Support Services (ARCCESS) is a program beneficiaries development support of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to the agrarian reform beneficiaries and ARB organizations with ongoing economic activities; WHEREAS, the DAR Provincial Office in Capiz has identified the Municipality of Ivisan as the Coconut Cluster and the upgrading project of CASCOFAMCO as the pilot project under the ARCCESS; WHEREAS, the DARPO Capiz has long listed and shortlisted the ARB and Non-ARB organizations which can be the proponent of the project and has finally qualified CASCOFAMCO as the proponent;

WHEREAS, the CAPIZ SMALL COCONUT FARMERS MARKETING COOPERATIVE (CASCOFAMCO) is a duly registered multi-purpose cooperative with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) with 2,200 members province wide; WHEREAS, CASCOFAMCO is currently engaged in Village Level Integrated Coconut Processing and Copra Trading for value adding and has become a common service facility of coconut farmer members; WHEREAS, AusAID-PACAP has recognized CASCOFAMCO for its valuable contribution as a case study project which was showcased in the Social Enterprise Development Businesses at Work Technokit during PACAPs Social Enterprise Development Forum last June 23, 2009; WHEREAS , CASCOFAMCO is in dire need of an upgraded facility in order to be GMP/HACCP compliant and additional processing equipment to increase productivity and income; WHEREAS, DAR has presented the project concept to the officers and management staff of CASCOFAMCO during the Special Board of Directors Meeting; WHEREAS, PREMISES CONSIDERED AND ON MOTION OF BOD Vice Chairperson Ramon Paclibar that CASCOFAMCO will pass a resolution signifying its intention and interest to accept and become the proponent of the upgrading of the integrated coconut processing project under the Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity and Economic Support Services was duly seconded by BOD Member Jesus Diaz. BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that CASCOFAMCO will pass a resolution signifying its intention and interest to accept and become the proponent of the upgrading of the integrated coconut processing project under the Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity and Economic Support Services. RESOLVE FURTHER, that copy of the Resolution be forwarded to the Department of Agrarian Reform Capiz Provincial Agrarian Reform Office. ADOPTED AND APPROVED on November 21, 2011 during the CASCOFAMCO Special Board of Directors Meeting held at Ondoy, Ivisan, Capiz. I hereby certify to the correctness of the foregoing resolution.
