Operations Management

Introduction: Corporate governance is a very wide between the dicision makers, but operates on the very fundamental principle. I wanted to optimize processes and systems. Goh, C. et al. (1997) defines case management and design work, and improving these systems to create and deliver significant commercial products and services.Miller,

J. Graham, M. (1981) defines it as a competitive strategythat the design, operation and improvement of facilities optimizes decisions, inventory, capacity, efficiency, quality control, purchasing and so on . In this assignnment I have worked as a newly appointed Operation Manager of ICON Tech UK ltd. Here we have figure out different operation management strategies, planning control, influencing factors, decesion making process and project management quality control of the ICON Tech. [P1.1] Operation Management: This action is the key to any organization, and therefore, an organization that was born and raised in the world to provide customers with the operational motto of the members or vision.Day after the defined creation as operations and delivery of goods

describing Management Act work as part of the body that creates anddelivers products and services to customers. [P1.2] Focus of operation management: Many features of managing the effectiveness of the procedure are efficiency where the process is complete at the lowest possible cost. Efficiency is a fair trial, creating more value for the company (Schmenner, RW, 2004). Moreover, according to the function that the only procedure for decisions made by management, if management decides that the concept of morality come to play. Managers do not give advice and systems to facilitate the ethical responsibility to share that benefit from the integration conscious wrongdoing Corporation. Leaders who ignore ethics run the risk of personal and social responsibility.

ICON technology works by combining the wealth and investment management functions for Mobile I Tech , ICON Tech aims to develop a policy that all employees to provide dealers with private equity investments. ICON employees is the overall management of the technology to keep their policies with the company, but now, the policy can be extended with new lines and rules at the international level to add. The change comes as the rear ICON uses a technology overhaul activities and approaches other companies.

The function is the central management of the development strategic ideas and achieves organizational objectives. This strategy has a great influence on what organizations do and how.Strategies provides opportunities for decision making in organizations. (S. Naughton, 2003) defines strategy "for the development of better skills in the operations of other competitors can not, and that other competitors from copying or it would be difficult to replicate."

state, art and strategies qualities.Their premium responsibilities for the mission, goals and vision, and heart to other operators mobile discharge. ICON Tech leaders have a new strategy to compete, and we must establish and maintain a strategy of their organization as a part of a clear strategy.

[P1.3] Key environment factors effecting operation management: Key internal factors affecting operation management on ICON Technology UK Ltd Within ICON Tech Ltd there are some internal factors that influence the operation management of ICON Tech Ltd which are : * Product Design * Sales * Human Resources (skilled Staff) * Marketing * Customers * Suppliers * Technological Development * Capital and Money Market

Key external factors affecting operation management is on ICON Technology UK Ltd. According to Natarajan (2005), there are few external factors that affect operation management. The factors are as follows; * Natural Resources * Taxation * Laws and Restrictions Imposed by Government * Competition in the Market

* Technical and other training facilities * Political, Social and Economic conditions * Availability of water, power and other inputs supplies. [P 2.1] Different operation strategies: According to Slack and Lewis, operations strategy holds the following definition: Operations strategy is the total pattern of decisions that shape the long-term capabilities of any type of operations and their contribution to the overall strategy, through the reconciliation of market requirements with operations resources

This strategy includes industrial engineering of ICON Tech which is mainly depended on the influence of market factors in the desired location in thebusiness market, as evidenced by the target markets of each company to understand.

Software and hardware design in the same position with theleading innovator in the market, technology, focusing their efforts in software design, high quality design and my Mobile Tech in the best position to provide customers a

choice personnel each.Setting does not attract the attention of the phone is slightly higher than the standard may cause the mobile number that I bought the mobile experience expect singleclient.

On the other side of the colaboration the simplr call, Lebra has connected with ICON Tech has simply use the highest value of UK manufacturers of commercial providers and other network technologies together. The commercial aspects of a range ofphone models that some form of adjustment to allow, but it is important to compare their own technology icon. The majority ofmobile subscribers to focus on a technology that can do more toimplement, has a structure large network of lightweight, long battery life and noise reduction. Therefore, flexibility and customization of the phone is much smaller than my cell phone of ICON Tech.

[P2.3] Strategic Importance of Operations Management of ICON Technology UK Ltd in the Decision Making Process According to Slack et al (2009) the strategic importance of the work and the process is recognized. It's short and long term business consequences.

* It can reduce the production costs of products and services effectively. Reduce costs are almost always as an important contribution they can do the job to succeed in any business, including ICON Tech Ltd * Can be increased by increasing the income of the customer satisfaction through quality, service and innovation. Directly affects the quality of flexibility, speed, reliability and performance, all with significant impact on the ability to order ICON Tech to maximize revenue. * Investment Operations may ICON Tech `s strategic investments to give (known as capital) to produce products and services. All companies are judged on their backs. Crisis management operations is to reduce costs and revenue growth and shareholder . * It can increase the capacity of ICON Tech Ltd, which form the basis for future innovations in the creation of an operational stability of knowledge and skills in the company will be formed. Crisis management operations and procedures, including a series of individual decisions that the general objectives for `ICON, structure and practical application to be determined.Basically, there are four stages of the decision as follows; First global strategy ICON Tech Ltd. Second operation `s design products, services and processes. Third Planning and control the delivery process. Once prepared, the products are shipped to retailers (retailers with their customers) to design and verify. Performance is the fourth process ICON Tech operations manager responsible for developing technogies allows the process to improve process efficiency in new technologies for mobile phones.

According to Doole and Lowe (2005), where the strategy and decision making, there are some things to remember. * An appropriate strategy for the environment: strategic functions Ltd. ICON Tech Environment. * The success of the strategies of erosion: If the environment changes, so that customer demand for performance products and services obsolete.

* Effectiveness is more important than efficiency: the success of the company has renewed is not a strategy, a need for the eternal quest to reduce costs, especially if the supply of Tech Ltd. ICON tradition worth top of my new mobile market TCE. * The speed and determination: the flexibility to make strategic decisions that Tech Ltd ICON can shift resources to new opportunities, to maintain competitive advantages. * Organizational alignment: If a customer-oriented company, ICON Tech Ltd. has the necessary changes to customer satisfaction.

Phase of the life cycle of a product `s are ICON Tech new strategy. The growing numbers of people from different communities in the United Kingdom are the growing popularity of telephone technology in the UK market. Tech Ltd. ICON to be operational in an efficient and effective to satisfy customers from day one of launch. [P 3.1] Key Factors affecting the design of products or services and possible benefits The design requires the expertise of products and services and skills of those parts of the decision of the organization. Marketing systems, construction, operations, finance, accounting and information needed. The role of the consumer evaluation ofmarketing needs to determine the effects of competitive pressures and the external environment to be measured.Instrumental techniques to develop products and servicesthrough the design, determine the process by which the product and the interfaces between the products / services and peopletest. The role of business is to "ensure that the product can be manufactured in large scale production. Role of Finance in a plan is to raise capital for product support large-scale production to prepare and assist in evaluating the potential benefits of the product. Accounting provides information and access to information for decision is the decision. Inter-organizationalcollaboration and sharing of information is the key to success. According to Murthy (2007) the factors are; 1) Market aspects 2) Product characteristics

Operations Management

a) Functional aspect b) Operational aspect c) Durability and dependability d) Aesthetic aspect 3) Economic analysis e) The profit consideration f) Break-even analysis 4) Profitability and competitiveness 5) Production aspect At the time of designing the new lamb product ICON Tech Ltd. has to take into consideration all the aspects. Product and service design drives organizational benefits because it directly and significantly impacts nearly all of the critical determinants for success. Customers demand greater product variety and are quick to shift to new, innovative, full-featured products. In addition, customers make purchase decisions based on a growing list of factors that are affected by product design. Previously, customers made purchase decisions based primarily on product price and/or quality. [P3.2] Factors Affecting Product Design and Formulations of New Product at ICON Tech Ltd. According to Schmenner, R.W., (2004) the design of any product involve due attention to the following factors; * Technical factors * Design factors * Designing for production economic factors

Technicon following information is about a design and presentationof their products.

Technical factors: ICON Tech focus on reducing the number ofsegments, the number of different ministries and the total number of production design of their products. This type of analysis is new "value engineering" is useful tools to simplify the design of the reach of new products. "What is new, however, introduced new software available for the design and capabilities for identifying the assembly of products to simplify the analysis.

With the introduction of modern products often require a more formal program. Tek icon designfactors recognizes that many designers of individual expertise inreliability, maintainability, safety, and other parameters that are important for the optimal design.

Economic factors: ICON Tech

development of high growth companies. In fact, revenue growth is prior to the growth of its products with a good response to its environment. If the ICON protects technology companies expected to grow at higher altitudes.

[P3.3] Different perception of work Measurement Clark, KB (1996), as defined in the implementation of this project, developed methods for the time for skilled workers to the task of determining the level of employment to be made to create. Technicon has the following tools in the effort of readingperformance. The first and the most widely used to study time, particularly examining the time clock. They use film and videocameras, computers and other equipment production schedulescan also be used instead of and in conjunction with the stopwatch.

Operations Management

The second sampling method of ICON Tech uses this approach to measure labor statistics and techniques require an understanding of statistics and probability.

The third system, the system time by default (PAH), using a series of tables Technicon movements were essentially normalized by the experts. Therefore, the system analyzes theHAP does not require the "level" or "level" measures.

Finally Tek ICON uses the grading system of work permits which are not, strictly speaking and the measurement techniques. These are the same elements are a group of similar movements ofother measures are presented and then reused as needed forfuture products and standards.

[P 4.1] Capacity planning and control approach of ICON Tech Ltd. Metter, R. Vargas, V. (2000) the basis for planning control (OPC)of the body, as follows; * Leave the order for the system in accordance with thepriority projects of the organization. * Messages are assigned to a particular job, known ascapacity planning in the short term. * Prioritize the order in which instructions are processed to determine. * Check lead time to develop and monitor the work to speed, if necessary. * Track the priority of work over the summer, parts rework, and other reports. * Monitoring the status of the workload capacity of the plant by the report in / out over capacity. Tech Ltd. ICON development function, to fluctuations in demand can be met without compromising quality. This can be done by maintaining Eatwell Ltd by following these steps: Initial planning and asset management of the company Second planning and inventory, the stock is always available to meet demand.

Third Supply Chain Management, from the movement of goods, services and information providers looking and ending with finished products to customers and end users.

Reasons for capacity planning and control ICON Tech Ltd According Pycraft et al (2000), has three major advantages, such as First Price Drop: too much capacity will be too expensive. Second income: a resource that is very low for lost earnings. Third year: If no relation to the capacity planning and control, so that the quality decreases.

Control approach of ICON Tech Ltd.:

Measuring Demand control * Supplement for fluctuations in demand: they have the application should be as specific as possible because the lineICON Tech `s new products has been estimated for life. * Season Application: For products Imobile ICON `sseasons have little or no demand. * The weekly and daily fluctuations in demand, very little.

Management Options of ICON TechLtd the possibility of a claim to measure. Capacity on various projects Understanding demand and capacity in the next steps ICON LtdTech for other options to consider changes in demand. There are three possibilities; Ignore the first changes and maintain a stable level of activity (level of design capacity). Day two possible variations in demand (demand draftChase) display. Third try changing the query to the capacity (demand management) to match.

Technicon should adopt a plan for further implementation. Assoftware and hardware ICON Tech competitive and new access to the coup against changes in market demand.

[P 4.2] Various method of inventory planning and cost and benefits measurement Inventory Definition The inventory is defined as an accumulation of material resources are stored in the system transformation (Gee, C., 1997). Inventory can be raw materials, intermediate products and finished products. ICON Ltd is technology stocks; * Equipment * Software * The mobile accessories and other

Inventory planning and cost / benefit analysis ICON Tech Ltd.

According Metters, R. Vargas, V. (2000) the planning process is of the Census to determine the safety stock in the supply chain. Two different procedures.

Pets first the decision to ICON Tech Ltd will provide everything needed for new products in London alone. Level of initial stock to be lower and more time will increase inventory levels to match the capacity of people who intend to pursue the application.

Calculate safety stock and EOQ War: Tech Ltd. ICON calculate the levels of safety stock using the OEQ. They will be able to determine the EOQ programs.

The use of stocks is motivated by the recipient and as a result of a competitive procurement process design (Kumar, 2006). * Improve the relationship with the client `s fast delivery of products and services. * The production of soft and smooth, and therefore there is no stock. * Effective use of capital, which helps to minimize losses. * The market economy * Remove the possibility of double bookings.

According Shtub (1999) shares are expensive and waste. There are three main types of costs; The initial construction costs: that all ICON `s new business (eg new facilities, supplies, equipment, etc.) appears as the cost of capital charges. Capital costs can be stored. Reduced operating costs: There may be costs of inventory and operations personnel, cost of energy for air conditioning, lighting and other electrical appliances. Third, the risk of costs: This can be a cost-theft, damage by fire, water, cost of insurance to protect against this risk to be. [P 4.3] Approaches used for project management and quality control Total Quality Management approach to Project Management Perspective ICON Tech Ltd

The project management and optimization unit (the emphasis is always on the allocation of resources) rather than the maximization of resources (focus on one thing at the expense of something else, to maximize the causes sub-optimization ), including skills, a collective effort, facilities, equipment, information, money, technology and equipment.

There are at least two reasons of ICON Tech Ltd participate in the process of implementing TQM.

The first project is the project management with a limited life. Second require projects and resources used in both full and part-time and permanent structures for use in full-time resources.

The implementation of TQM in two phases of project management;

Design Process: There are four steps to the side of the design project management to be determined.

First identify and prioritize customer base in the well-being of present and future of the organization to grow. Second identify criteria and a focus on key customers. Third evaluate the organization `s benefits and competitive disadvantages for each area of interest to policy makers. The Fourth Assessment Report of the clients of the organization `s most important and their strengths and weaknesses, develop a strategy for long-term goals.

Goal Setting: In terms of project management, there are three basic steps for setting goals. First transfer is of the business strategy into concrete organizational goals within a reasonable time. To involve of managers of Second Department of Internal Audit to identify internal problems. A third more of the objectives are of each section of the head of the department.

If the project management system is implemented, each program component ICON Tech projects. The management of this system should be implemented with an additional packaging the product.

Total system of quality management is responsible for obtaining the registration, evaluation, planning and cost management of projects. Included in this will result, rank, and the model of priority. As each project selected should be tested for their ability to the overall strategy, business / financial risks and benefits and resources needed for the project. This will provide a solid basis for the reasoning in the selection process works.

Some of the scarce resources in the funds ICON Tech, people, talent management, technology skills, equipment and above all, time. TQM projects are selected to build the organization and not to pull resources from other regions.
