Chapter I Introduction The control of man`s physical environment to preent disease and promote health is sanitation. Sanitation sometimes called environmental health work, is a major field to public. Two vital sanitary measures are the provision of an adequate supply of pure water and the safe disposal waste. Disease is further controlled by protcting and food and milk from contamination, eliminating disease-carrying insects and rodents, reducing air pollution, and maintaining cleane water system. Sanitation also includes the provision of adequate pumbling, sanitation, heating and lighting in homes and buildings. In cities before, refuse was normaly throwninto streets, but pipes or channels were often use for supplying water or desposing of humn waste. Manila, for example had intricate Network of sewers for suplying water. During past century or decades, most sewers and water suply systems in many cities and towns and in the country fell into despair in life in towns or barangays, in particular was very unsanitary. Epidemics often resulted from people dringking water contaminated by human waste. Modern sanitation began to develop now in the country with the construction of major water suply systems in many major cities in the National Capital Region and on some province like abra. Modern sewage systems were introduce in the major towns of Bangued, tayum, and bucay. Discoveries made Gradually led to the development of maesures for the control of deasis spread by insects, rodents, milk and other foods, and water. And one such ameliorations was introduce in Barangay Bangbangar,one of the baragays in the above-mentioned capital of Bangued Abra, which is the main concerne of the researherin their work entitled waste and Garbage Disposal and Water sanitation of Barangay Bangabangar Bangued abra.

Statement of the problem: This study sought to determin the ways and garbage disposal and water sanitation of Barangay Bangbangar bangued abra.

Specifically this undertaking will be adressed to the folloeing problem: 1.Garbage disposal 1.1What are the family`s ways of disposing garbage or methods that they use in household disposal? 2. Waste Disposal 2.1 What kind of toilet facilities that the families have? 2.2 What are the methods that they use to take care and maintaining their toilet? 2.3 What the ways of constructing oof their toilet? 3. Water Sanitation 3.1 What are the main source of drinking water of the families? 3.2 What are the safe measures that they use in their water source? 3.3 What are the ways and methods of making household drinking water safe? 3.4 What are the ways used in the collection and tranprotationof water and source?
