Change of Cadet Command

C/2nd Lt Andy Haus is off to the U. S. Air Force Academy and the New Cadet Commander C/Capt Keyona Sanchez takes the Command. On June 3, 2008 the same night that Sanchez was promoted to C/Capt she became the new Cadet Commander.

The Anoka Composite Squadron Flag was returned from C/2nd Lt Andy Haus to Commander Capt Andy Bosshart (left picture) and then was presented to C/Capt Keyona Sanchez (right picture) new Cadet Commander for the change of the Command. Best wishes in leading the Anoka Composite Squadron Cadets.

Group 2 SAREX A very nice group of Seniors and Cadets traveled to St. Cloud Group 2 SAREX for training on June 14, 2008. A number of sorties for both air and ground were completed along with SQTRs items that were signed off.

Construction Mud and more mud was the call on June 17, 2008. Construction work on the Squadron building was the order for the Seniors. There is still more work to be done but each time members work on the building it changes and will soon be all complete. Safety
The Sentinel is the official safety newsletter of CAP. Items were reviewed by our Safety Officer 1Lt Jody Veek. He suggested everyone access www.cap.gov/safety, find and read The Sentinel for the month of May. Access the web site, click on Newsletters (Archived), 2008, then June to pull up the June issue. Accessing and reading The Sentinel should be a regular monthly activity for everyone. 1Lt Veek also reviewed water safety, life jacket requirements and how to retrieve someone from the water.
