COURSE OBJECTIVE Information gathering and interpretation are integral to any managers job. Human resource practitioners often need to diagnose a variety of organizational issues and conduct staff assessment. They are called upon to conduct valid and independent research, interpret the results, and make recommendations for organizational change and development. A sound valid and reliable research with the aim of gathering quality information for decision-making. The main objective of this course is to familiarized students with the research process and provides them with the necessary foundation in designing and conducting research which can be applied to pragmatic problems encountered by organizations. In taking this course, you will experience some of the challenges and drudgery involved in researching. With lots of work, a little luck plenty of caffeine and a lot of food, you will also experience some of the insights, exhilaration and good fun involved in the research process.
