OUR CHALLENGES FANAMBY is a Malagasy non-prot organization which builds on the strong capacities of its multi-disciplinary team. It aims to conserve terrestrial & marine ecosystems, in partnership with the private sector, and the women & men living in and around unique natural habitats. FANAMBY adapts new technologies and methods to biodiversity conservation and development of rural livelihoods reecting the needs of nature and the countrys people. FANAMBY has helped set up a variety of Protected Areas that holistically combine community productive needs with conservation goals. In Madagascar, FANAMBY has been pioneer in developing Protected Harmonious Landscapes under - IUCN Category V, guaranteeing that the economic and ecological value of protected areas is sustainably conserved.
