INTRODUCTION Human resource management means employing people, developing their resources, utilizing, maintaining and compensating their services in tune with the job and organizational requirements with a view to contribute to the goals of the organization, individual and the society. Quality of work life (QWL) is viewed as an alternative to the control approach of managing people. The QWL approach considers people as an 'asset' to the organization rather than as 'costs'. It believes that people perform better when they are allowed to participate in managing their work and make decisions. This approach motivates people by satisfying not only their economic needs but also their social and psychological ones. To satisfy the new generation workforce, organizations need to concentrate on job designs and organization of work. Further, today's workforce is realizing the importance of relationships and is trying to strike a balance between career and personal lives. Successful organizations support and provide facilities to their people to help them to balance the scales. In this process, organizations are coming up with new and innovative ideas to improve the quality of work and quality of work life of every individual in the organization. Quality of Working Life is a term that had been used to describe the broader jobrelated experience an individual has. Quality of work performance is affected by Quality of Life as well as Quality of working life. However, it will be argued here that the specific attention to workrelated aspects of quality of life is valid. Whilst Quality of Life has been more widely , Quality of working life, remains relatively unexplored and unexplained. A review of the literature reveals relatively little on quality of working life. Where quality of working life has been explored, writers differ in their views on its core constituents.

RATIONALE FOR THE STUDY The need of the project is to analyse and find the factors, which cause the stress in organization. This study deals with the topic Stress Management in the organization and kind of different Stress relief techniques being followed in Stress Management of an individual in the organization.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY To find out reasons for quality of work life in Reliance Industry. To find out effects of quality of work life in Reliance Industry. To find out way to improve quality of work life in Reliance Industry. To gain an insight into current working time policies and practices, as well as work-life balance issues in Reliance industry.

METHODOLOGY OF THE STUDY Research Methodology is the systematic design, collection, analysis and reporting of data and finding relevant solution to a specific marketing situation or problem RESEARCH DESIGN: Descriptive Research: A type of conclusive research which has as its major objective the description of something-usually market characteristics or functions. We are conducting descriptive research where we have no control over the variable.we presents the picture which has already studied.

Sample Size: Total population : pathankot city Sample size : 100 respondents Sampling methods : random sampling.

DATA COLLECTION Data collection is one of the important tasks of the research, which is based on PRIMARY and SECONDARY DATA Primary data: - The primary data are those data, which are collected afresh and for the first time and thus happen to be original in character. There are some important methods: Observation method

Through questionnaires

Secondary data: - It means data that are already available i.e., they refer to the data, which have already been collected and analyzed by someone else. There are some important methods: Books, magazines and newspaper Internet

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTE FROM THE STUDY This project is used to identify the quality of work life in reliance industry and its effect on the growth of the industry. And the factor witch effect the quality of work life .

LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY The topic was such that it required vast and thorough study necessitating complete enumeration of the organization and analysis of several issues. Following are the limiting factors: Collecting information from people during the working hours will difficult. Due to work shifts it will difficult to approach the employees. Most of the employees will be hesitant in giving frank opinions and answer during personal interview. Time constraint will one of the limiting factors (8 weeks for a project)
