The wisdom he shares with us is not his own he is transmitting from a chain of holy people. He is the 40th Sheich in the Golden Chain of the Nacqsbandia Tariqat which leads back to the Prophet Muhammad as the first recipient of Divine Knowledge within this line of succession. Mehmet Nz m Adil (Turkish: Muhammed Naz m El-Hakkani Arabic: , born April 23, 1922 (CE) / Sha'ban 26, 1340 AH), complete Muhammad Nazim Adil al-Qubrusi al-Haqqani, best known as Shaykh Nazim, is a Turkish Cypriot Sufi and leader of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Order. He was born in Larnaca, Cyprus. He traces his lineage to the 11th century Sufi Abdul Qadir Jilani and the 13th century mystic Jalaluddin Rumi, though there is no evidence for this. His maternal and paternal grandfathers were sheikhs in the Qadiri and Mevlevi orders respectively. As a child, the young Nazim showed a propensity towards spirituality. His father sent him to school to study secular knowledge during the day, and in the evening he studied Islam at the local maktab, where he learned the basics of Islamic law, jurisprudence, the hadith and Qur'anic exegesis. Sheick Nazim has been coming regularly to London for the Holy Month of Ramadan since 1974 he was given the order to do so by his Sheich Abdullah Dagisthani shortly before he passed away. He had told that he last days had begun and truth would once more be come apparent, this time coming from the West. It is not tied to a country, family or political appointment, but is a direct heart to heart transmission. It is also considered that the appointed Sheikh will be in some communication with past Sheikhs. At any one time, there will of course be many other Sheikhs, who will all naturally owe their spiritual allegiance (Beyat) to the current master of the silsilah.

The Naqshbandi order owes many insights to Abu Ya'qub Yusuf al-Hamadani and Abd al-Khaliq alGhujdawani, who is regarded as the organizer of the practices and is responsible for placing stress upon the purely mental dhikr[5] . It was later associated with Muhammad Baha ad-din anNaqshabandi, hence the name of the order. Some interpret the name translation as "the engravers (of the heart)", "related to the image-maker", "pattern maker", "image maker", "reformer of patterns", "way of the chain" and "golden chain."

The name has changed over the years. Originally called "as-Siddiqiyya", around the times of Bayazid al-Bistami to Sayyadina Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani it was called at-Tayfuriyya, and from the times of Sayyadina 'Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani to Shah Naqshband it was called the "Khwajagan" or "Hodja". Uwais al-Qarni was a hidden companion of Muhammad, who gave him his own vest, just before he died. The undisputed silsilah is surprisingly short, since there are long periods where the order has no living appointed Sheikh. The method of spiritual instruction is quite close to the Mujaddidiyyah branch. However, there are two main differences. Firstly, Naqshbandia Owaisiah order uses the "Pas Infas" method of zikr. Secondly, the method of spiritual instruction is "Uwaysi," which means that the Shaikh can impart spiritual instruction regardless of place or time. The Naqshbandia Owaisiah Order is based in Pakistan and its modern founder was Shaikh Allah Yar Khan. Naqshbandi Haqqani (Bhagdadi) Golden Chain Khalidiyya-Naqshbandiyya. Grandsheikh Nazim al-Qubrusi is now leader of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani order worldwide. Grandshaykh Nazim al-Qubrusi has two khalifas, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani and Mawlana Shaykh Adnan Kabbani. Shaykh Gibril Haddad is a notable scholar. A person on such a level is holy and will not act according to their own will but to this that will be done
