Welcome to our annual production sale, It is always an exciting time of the year for us when bull sale season is going on. We take great pride in the cattle that we raise and we try to make certain that our bulls and heifers will work for our customers. This year is one to remember for all cattle producers because of record high cattle prices. Also, this has been one of the mildest winters we have seen in a long time. The future for cattle producers is looking very good right now.
Our goal in producing cattle is to produce the top quality breeding stock for the Commercial and Registered cattle producers. The bulls and heifers in our sale this year will show that we are working towards that goal. I hope you all can see that when you come to the sale on March 20th at Lake Region Livestock in Devils Lake, ND.
I would like to take the time to thank some people who helped me this past year. First, I would like to thank my uncle, Ed Uriell for giving me the opportunity to purchase the best cows and bulls to start my own registered herd. I would also like to thank Jim and Matt Ziegler and their family for taking great care of my bulls and getting them ready for the sale. Dick Harding and his family also deserve a thank you for taking great care of my heifers and getting them ready for the sale. Thanks also go out to Mike Lewis for his great AI work on my cows this year and a big thanks to Mikes daughter Chelsey Lewis for putting our catalog together for the sale and for helping me with herd work whenever I needed it. Finally, I would like to send the biggest thank you of all to my Mom and Dad, Charolette and Jim Uriell, for all the help and support they have given me this past year.
The Turtle River Cattle Company, ran by Ron and Ryan Clemetson, are truly great friends and have helped me whenever I needed it this year. We look forward to seeing old friends and making many new friends at this years sale. The sale starts at 1 P.M. CT but you are welcome to come early and take a look at the bulls and heifers that are going to be in the sale. Thank you, James Uriell of Uriell Red Angus We again are having our sale with our good friends, Uriell Red Angus. It is a pleasure to work with such fine people who have as much passion for their red cattle as we do. We are a family cattle operation run by myself (Ron) my wife Terrie and son Ryan. We are located in eastern North Dakota, which is not exactly cattle country. However, we have a passion for raising cattle, especially Red Angus cattle. The old saying goes; if you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life. We are a small operation who uses AI and ET genetics to continue to improve our cow herd and bulls. Many of these bulls and heifers are from this process. We think we are offering bulls for sale that will have whatever you are looking for, be it calving ease or growth or maternal. We thank you for your interest and hope that you find the bull that will fit your operation. We are looking forward to seeing you on sale day. Thank you for coming and we wish you a happy and prosperous year, Turtle River Cattle Co. Ron and Ryan Clemetson

This is a good heifer bull. Check out his EPDs: Birth Weight -1.9, Calving Ease Direct 8, Calving Ease Maternal 7. Not to mention his 70 pound birth weight and he weaned off at 617. That is pretty good for a later calf out of a first calf heifer.
This is a mating that you may never see again. Rambo 502 and Gold Robber 1909E semen would nearly be impossible to find and if you did, the price would be extremely high. Again, this is a rare opportunity.

Predicting Profit
With a long standing commitment to better serve this continually changing beef industry, Red Angus has prepared for tomorrows challenges through New & Improved Genetic Predictions (EPDs).
Red Angus has combined databases and subsequent EPD calculations with the American Simmental Association in order to simplify producers use of crossbreeding programs by supplying them with true multi-breed EPDs. This enhancement enables Red Angus to provide reliable EPDs on all animals in the database, regardless of breed composition. Additionally, with the recent changes to carcass value Red Angus has added Carcass Weight and Yield Grade to its arsenal of ERTs. EPDs are the most reliable predictors of an animals true genetic merit. As the only major beef breed to mandate Total Herd Reporting (THR), Red Angus EPDs have the built in advantage of being calculated from 15 years of complete contemporary group data. EPDs have fast-tracked beef cattle improvement and removed much of the guesswork associated with selecting range bulls.
