May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive our sins and bring us to everlasting life.

All: KYRIE GLORIA

OPENING PRAYER Archbishop:

Let us pray.

Lord our God, as the Blessed Virgin was at prayer with the Apostles, you poured out on her in abundance the gifts of the Holy Spirit; grant through her intercession that we too, being filled with the same Spirit, may persevere with one mind in prayer and bring to the world around us the good news of salvation. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
LITURGY OF THE WORD FIRST READING A reading from the book of the prophet Isaiah. (Is.61:1-3, 10-11) The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me; he has sent me to bring glad tidings to the lowly, to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to the prisoners, to announce a year of favor from the Lord and a day of vindication by our God, to comfort all who mourn; to place on those who mourn in Zion a diadem instead of ashes, to give them oil of gladness in place of mourning, a glorious mantle instead of a listless spirit. They will be called oaks of justice, planted by the Lord to show his glory. I rejoice heartily in the Lord, in my God is the joy of my soul; for he has clothe me with the robe of salvation, and wrapped me in a mantle of justice, like a bridegroom adorned with a diadem, like a bride bedecked with her jewels. As the earth brings forth its plants and a garden makes its growth spring up, so will the Lord God make justice and praise spring up before all the nations. The word of the Lord. All: Thanks be to God.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM: You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation. I give thanks O Lord; Though you have been angry with me, Your anger has abated, and you have consoled me.(R) God indeed is my savior; I am confident and unafraid My strength and my

courage is the Lord, And he has been my savior. With joy you will draw water at the fountain of salvation. (R.) Give thanks to the Lord, acclaim his name; Among the nations, make known his deeds, Proclaim how exalted his name is. (R.) Sing praise to the Lord for his glorious achievement, Let this be known throughout all the earth. Shout with exaltation, O, city of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel! (R.) SECOND READING A reading from the letter of Paul to the Colossians. (Col. 3:9-17) What you have done is put aside your old self with its past deeds and put on a new man, one who grows in knowledge as he is formed anew in the image of his Creator. There is no Greek or Jew here, circumcised or uncircumcised, foreigner, Scythian, slave, or freedom, rather, Christ is everything in all of you. Because you are Gods chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with heartfelt mercy, with kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another; forgive whatever grievances you have against one another. Forgive as the Lord has forgiven you . Over all these virtues put on love, which binds the rest together and makes them perfect. Christs peace must reign in your hearts, since as members of the one body you have been called to that peace. Dedicate yourselves to thankfullness. Let the word of Christ, rich as it is, dwell in you. In wisdom made perfect, instruct and admonish one another. Sing gratefully to God from your hearts in psalms, hymns, and inspired songs. Whatever you do, whether in speech or in action, do it in the name of the Lord Jesus. Give thanks to God the Father through him. The Word of the Lord. All: Thanks be to God.

Lift up your hearts.

We lift them up to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God.

It is right to give him thanks and praise.

Father, all powerful and ever-living God, we do well always and everywhere to give you thanks. How wonderful is the example you have given us of harmony and prayer in the Church at its beginning: you show us the mother of Jesus as she prays with the Apostles in oneness of heart and mind. She who waited in prayer for the coming of Christ is still at prayer as she calls upon the promised Paraclete; she who was overshadowed by the Spirit at the incarnation of the Word is once more filled with your gift from on high at the birth of Gods new people. As she keeps vigil in prayer, her heart on fire with love, she the model of the Church, enriched by the gifts of the Spirit and keeping watch for the second coming of Christ. Through him the angels of heaven offer their prayer of adoration as they rejoice in your presence forever. May our voices be one with their triumphant hymn of praise.

SANCTUS (Sung) EUCHARISTIC PRAYER II Archbishop:

Lord, You are holy indeed, the fountain of all holiness.

With the Concelebrants: Let your Spirit come upon these gifts to make them

holy, so that they may became for us the body and blood of our

Lord, Jesus Christ. Before He was given up to death, a death he freely accepted, He took bread and gave You thanks. He broke the bread, gave it to His disciples and said: TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU AND EAT IT: THIS IS MY BODY WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP TO YOU. When supper was indeed, he took the cup. Again He gave thanks and praise, gave the cup to His disciples and said: TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT: THIS IS THE CUP OF MY BLOOD, THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND EVERLASTING COVENANT. IT WILL BE SHED FOR YOU AND FOR ALL SO THAT SINS MAY BE FORGIVEN. DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.
Archbishop: All:

Let us proclaim the mystery of faith.

Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

Archbishop with the Concelebrants: In memory of His death and resurrection, we

offer You, Father, this life-giving bread, this saving cup. We thank you for counting us worthy to stand in your presence and serve You. May all of us who share in the body and blood of Christ be brought together in unity by the Holy Spirit.
Concelebrant: Lord, remember Your Church throughout the world; make us

grow in love, together with Benedict XVI, our pope; Onesimo, our Archbishop; all the bishops, and the clergy.
Concelebrant: Remember our brothers and sisters who have gone to their rest

in the hope of rising again; bring them and all the departed into the light of Your presence.

Have mercy on us all; make us worthy to share eternal life with Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, with the Apostles and with all the Saints who have done Your will throughout the ages. May we praise You in union with them, and give You glory, through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Archbishop with the Concelebrants: Through Him, with Him, in Him, in the unity

of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is Yours, Almighty Father, forever and ever.
All: Amen.
